A must play! Beautifully done!! I've enjoyed every moment of this game. It's beautifully done. I just love my pets and interacting with them (so adorable). The controls were a lil tricky to get used to at first - like grabbing jellies from your backpack quick slot, selling items, or upgrades. All-in-all, it wasn't too hard to figure out myself. Overall, I think this is one of the best games I've played on my Q3. Period. Thank goodness for all the extra sidequests or I'd be left feeling underwhelmed. There's a lot to explore and keep coming back to with this one. Hurry up and get Ch2 out already!! <3
genuinely really good and promising game. i've been falling out of cookie run as of late as i've felt like the franchise doesn't respect its history at all with the release of kingdom and with this game it's one of the few things out that feels like it could exist in the pre-kingdom era, it's really good. love the way pets are utilized in this game and how it has some unpopular choices for mcs like prophet and zombie cookie. the story is also just the right blend of serious and silly and doesn't take itself too far in one direction. it manages to tell a serious story but not be depressing like some recent stories are it feels on-brand
this was my first VR game and is what got me to buy a quest and i'd argue it's worth it. i'm surprised at how well designed this game is in terms of being an RPG since it's the company's first game to not utilize microtransactions, like you *want* to level up and grind sonce it's designed as an actual game element and the game itself is fun, and it doesn't feel like an obligation to do so. there's a few things i would fault like some areas feeling a little too open but it's hard for me to want to criticize this game either.
(also a personal thing but it's intresting to see the way they want to tie this game into the upcoming cookierun: witch's castle as well, which also feels weirdly respectful of the brand. makes me wonder if gingerbright or dozer could appear in later chapters)
LOVE this game! I appreciate the simplicity of good vs evil and fighting for right without blood, guts, gore or flying limbs. The play is similar to Moss with a mission, the graphics are great, had one small glitch but i was able to go to a previously saved version and sailed right through the level. I can’t WAIT for CR2 and I'm even more excited to see what other games this team creates. They seem to have captured lightening in a bottle.
I 💯% would recommend this game! I got this game a day ago, and I’m LOVING it so far. If you are someone who is into adventure and non stop combat, I would definitely recommend this game for you. Everything that you wouldn’t expect is in this game. So definitely download it. ❤️❤️❤️ There’s also a mobile app for this game too, it’s called Cookie Run: kingdom. SO GO DOWNLOAD BOTH!!!!
Good but needs more polish. Pro's: The concept, story, characters and environment are all very good. It feels more like an actual VR adventure game than mostly any other cartoony VR game I've played. It feels like you're playing an adventure similair to a Pixar movie.
Cons: Game feels unpolished at times. Try eating a meat jelly or replace a broken weapon during a boss fight, try to turn on the pointer that shows you which direction you're supposed to go (often a question mark or actually shows an incorrect location). Try using only teleport in a boss fight (just doesn't work half of the time). You will often get a Game Over screen before you even get a chance to react to the situation, especially during boss fights. Minigames can also be too physically demanding (climbing tower and keeping fire on temeprature)
Conclusion: I highly recommend this game, but it can feel unpolished at times.
Very amazing. I pre-ordered this game back in November, and I can honestly say that it might be one of the best VR games I’ve ever played. The environments are really huge and immersive, and almost makes you feel as if you’re actually there with the characters. I particularly like how the story is essentially an alternate take on Ovenbreak’s plot. The puzzles and combat are neat as well, and while the voice acting isn’t perfect, it’s still pretty well-done. I’m looking forward to the second chapter this summer and how the story will play out next.
My only real complaints with the game is that the smooth turning speed is too slow, even on the highest setting, and you get stuck in the first pet terrarium level if you don’t bring any weapons with you, but these are really minor nitpicks I have with it.
A suggestion I have is to add a checkpoint system where you can save your progress at certain parts of the game, which would make it helpful for players to start over in case they get stuck. Another suggestion is to maybe add weapons in the pet terrarium levels for the player to pick up in case they don’t have any other weapons with them by the time they enter.
Overall, while the game could use some polishing, Cookie Run: The Darkest Night is a really fun experience, and I personally recommend it for those who are a fan of Cookie Run like me. If the devs are reading this, keep up the amazing work!
One of my favorite games but.. This is definitely one of my favorite story games, but my game keeps glitching out. I got to the part where you save Muscle Cookie, and I went through the door and I had a black screen. Well, I reset my headset thinking is was going to work, but I just keep spawning into the void. Could the devs help me with this???
Great VR experience for my fave series. Having been a big fan of the Cookie Run games since the first mobile games way back, I was thrilled to see that they decided to enter the VR space. My expectations weren’t too high but I’m glad to see that my expectations were greatly exceeded!!! I love the game and feel that it’s a refreshing take on VR RPG’s , it’s the right amount of cute while remaining action-driven. I’m only a couple of hours in but I’m loving it!!! This game deserves more attention! I’m hoping the devs continue making more Cookie Run games!
Chat points should be added to the game. I got stuck on this lava mine level after muscle cookie got stuck I was on my way to the elevator I saw this door to see I can open it, but when as I got closer I accidentally hold the dash button, and I phase threw the wall, and I'm stuck, and I think would be a great feature to add checkpoints, like from the statues or broken gems that we repaired that well bring us back to were we left off, I think they also be great to put that same feature in the main menu when u going the start the game because I think I will also be helpful for new players that don't know where to go or where they left off but keep up the good work love the content can't wait until the next chapter.
This game was a 10/10 !! This game honestly was so amazing, I loved the characters' designs and such. And the new character, The Darkest Lord. honestly, it is my favourite character.
I find the game incredibly amazing, having riddles to solve and such. I think the game should be updated with the bugs as there are bugs that are there. For example, some of the characters, when not in the room, would speak to you when not interacting.
Maybe iswell slow down with the talking. Like make one of the buttons like clicked so you can continue and so on. Because the way they all spoke was realistic, sure. But there wasn't like the button to press continue or how it is in the Cookie Run Kingdom dialogues or the Cookie run overbreak.
I hope the developers take their time with this game. It was amazingly enjoyable. I'm sure chapter 2 will be just as amazing as chapter 1. Also amazing cliffhanger.
