Enjoy from above. Remember games like Populous and Black and white? A bit resoursemanagement like the Anno series..If you enjoy those games Townsmen is perfect for you!
It combines RTS and GODsim in the best possible way which is perfect for VR! The simplistic gameplay and funny graphicstyle makes it a nice VR experience. There is a broad range of buildings and more options under each to expand your civilization. There is so many funny little details and suprises and its a relaxgame that i can really recommend to those.
I hope the developers will add some multiplayer and Mixed reality mode,. 💡 it would be awesome to battle friends like this on my dinnertable.
Mastering Islands and Managing Chaos. Initially, this game piqued my interest, but I was skeptical. Having played other God-Like simulation games where the mechanics and gameplay felt awkward, I simply passed on them. Then, one day, as I was rummaging through the store, I wanted something new. So, I picked my poison and chose this game because someone offered a coupon. Well, I am so glad I did. I tend to have a short attention span when it comes to games; I can quickly lose interest, but with this one, I find myself continually coming back to check on my townspeople. Not only is the game beautiful and Zen, but the mechanics are also really easy to pick up. In the beginning, you go through some islands, I guess, to learn the gameplay. I was a little disappointed after setting things up that we had to keep running from island to island, but then I realized this is just so you can get familiar with the game. Now that I am on my 3rd Island, I understand things more, and it is starting to come together. I am really enjoying it. Yes, you have to feed your people and make sure they have food and water, and ensure they can hunt and gather stones, etc. At first, I was just running around like a chicken with its head cut off, but now I am starting to get it. The only gripe I have thus far with the game, and I hope the developers see this, is positioning buildings; that is really awkward to get it into the position you want. Also, it does not tell you how to get more villager onto the land. I had to Google that, and I am not sure what the heart means - are they dying? I did not realize they were dying until I only had one resident in my village. It would be nice if there were gravestones, so you can see how many of your villagers have died, or some sort of statistic. Otherwise, it's an excellent game, and I think it is by far my favorite game on the Meta Quest 3. I hope the developers keep adding new things. I would be willing to buy expansion packs and hope one day they make a modern city or futuristic one and add kids. This game is awesome if you want a slightly challenging, yet Zenful gameplay experience.
Lots of fun. This reminds me of Settlers but a lot more hands on. I really enjoy the maps and the challenges, they start out kind and gets increasingly difficult. You get used to throwing seagulls, dragging yourself around the world, and handling the camera really fast. Easy to learn and incredible fun. I want more!
Super, I liked that. Very nice looking game, a lot of details and small animations which bring life into the game. Dont know why the RTS genre is not so popular in VR but it fits amazingly!
Totally loved this. I thought this would be boring as I am used to complex PC games, but I absolutely loved playing this game. Everything is so beautiful and I felt so immersed in the game. So much attention to detail. Starting with the tiny cat that purrs loudly when you hold it between your fingers. I was sad when I finished all the levels.
Fun for hours. Unlike many VR games, this is one that can take up jours of your time. The moving mechanics are fine once you get used to it, but having the option to move around with joysticks (a la FPS) should be added. This reminds me of a combination of Actraiser (on SNES) and WarCraft II. Buy this game as there’s nothing else like it on the Quest 3.
Quest 3 Gem. I don't write many reviews, unless it worth it. This game is great for Vr. "Bravo" to the devs for making this for this platform. It's addictive if you love town management games, with a story to go on. It's not too hard, no bugs that I've run into yet, plays smooth as butter. Some one star reviews seem like they didn't understand what they were buying. Note: Unfortunately is NOT Quest 2 supported, from what my purchase indicated?? However if you own Q3 and love this genre of gaming, it's a must buy!!! Can't put it down- 4 real.

So glad this came to stand alone VR. There is no other game like this on standalone VR. It is so fun building your own little town and the people are so cute working away.
Nice game. This is a very relaxing game, and enjoyable to play. Watching the little men and women for fulfilling their roles in the community is very sweet. My only complaint would be the graphics, which seem under optimised given this game is Quest 3 only. For example, there are no shadows at all, not any of the buildings, people or anything else. This gives the game a very basic look.
Wow. Now I’m not going to lie, I thought I would refund this at first, after playing it it became amazing. Having a story mode in this game was very unexpected and I’m glad they did.
