Can't Connect. Constant issue with the app saying I need to connect to Internet. This happens even after I delete and reinstall. Not sure how I can download the app and then I receive (after the app installs) connectivity issue.
Better than I expected. A nice way to spend ~3-4 hours. Besides the UI, a quick tutorial, the NPCs and the map it was all in Japanese of course. Tons of trailers, screenshots, a short 360 video and some pretty impressive life size 3d models (and the occasional not so impressive cardboard cutout). By walking everywhere and trying to grab things I got 79 out of 84 of the easter eggs which are simple designs you can put on your avatar's shirt. Technically multiplayer but was pretty empty. I only saw two people last night. Quick wave and they were off. Would like to experience more conventions like this.
Future of Gaming Shows - INCREDIBLE! What an amazing experience, so mood-lifting, exciting with so much information displayed so beautifully in VR. I found out so much about so many amazing Japanese games that otherwise I would have missed out.
Me at the show: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cqpy-27qESE
Took lots of selfies, got some collectibles, even danced, and had a blast.
I woke up in the morning in a bad mood and this is what I needed to "get out of the room" and have fun.
I never attended such a fantastic virtual gaming show that presented itself so well. It was amazing seeing other people hanging around and having fun together. Everything was spot on, except that I don't know where my selfies are saved on the Quest 2.
Thank you for such an amazing and memorable VR experience!
TGS2021 in VR is Awesome. Tons of areas, cards to collect, 360 videos, trailers for VR and non VR games and it all looks fantastic running on the Oculus Quest 2.
Combine that with the fact while no smooth turning is offered we still have the slide movement so its all good.
I was very impressed and had a great time visiting TGS2021 in VR, I hope they do this every year going forward.
A gamified Videogame Expo. It is better than I expected: you not only have lots of trailers and links to external websites, but also a vast area to explore, 3D props to see, and some humor here and there in the vein of a classical JRPG.

Didn't see the event. I guess I missed by chance, and the servers were down. I want to see it!!!
Thank you very much TGS VR 2021 Staff! I typically travel to video game shows as part of media and also travel to Japan to cover numerous events. I haven't been able to do that for the last two years but when I first learned about the Tokyo Game Show VR 2021, I was excited.
I love the fact you can see the booths with the videos, watch the music performances, and also the scavenger hunt of finding the 84 Fragment of Crystals (very clever to hide some those in the lamps).
I was impressed by the Gundam because looking up and the size, I wouldn't be surprised that the scale used was similar to the first Gundam (RG 1/1 RX-78-2 Ver. GFT statue) located at Diver City in Odaiba.
I loved the fact that you could see most of the program guides, to see the classic "Famitsu" covers was also pretty cool. I also was impressed by the amount of English translation and dialogue incorporated (considering many events I attended in Japan rarely have any translation), [not for the PR videos but thats understandable]
What I would like to see for 2022:
- Many TGS panels were shown on social media (YouTube, Twitter, etc.), please allow to have some panels shown for next year. - Cosplay - A big part of Japanese events is the cosplay and if TGS returns to Makuhari Messe in 2022, please incorporate cosplay photos for Day 1, Day 2, Day 3 on the app. - For 2022, a chance to see a Live 360 video of the venue or a live cam. Similar to the live cam of Shibuya Scramble or Akihabara that you find on YT, but a live cam from a distance from Makuhari Messe.
Other than that, I'm quite grateful to the staff involved in this VR project. Thank you very much!
excellent experience. Finally I was able to attend a game show I really liked the idea and the organization, most of the games are only in japanese though but it's kind of expected most of the interface is also in english so that's good, being able to assist to the game show is awesome, keep it up and thanks for not blocking other countries like Colombia :D
