Best VR Roguelike Title. I’ve played a handful of “Roguelike” and “Roguelite” games on console/PC and VR. While I’m not too crazy about the genre but enjoy soulslike games, I do enjoy them from time to time. But man, this game is so solid. The combat, while a bit finicky at times, is fantastic, the enemies and bosses are a blast to fight and the movement in the game is wild. What really sold me on this Roguelike game was the fact that you can come across options to end the run with all the loot you’ve gathered, which brings you back to the main hub area and you can spend your hard earned experience/currency on much needed upgrades or skins. I do get motion sickness in vr occasionally, but I only really ever experienced it in this game was when you do the somersaults in the air. However, if you’re a new vr player (like we all once were), and get motion sick from moving around with the analog sticks vs teleporting, this might be a game that you need to warm up to. But man, this is a really fantastic game and I’m stoked I bought it!!
Great game. I only bought the game for multiplayer to play with a friend. its been over a month now since ive bought the game but for some reason mine doesnt work. It just say lost network connectiveity. Overall gameplay and movement is great and immersive. However the selling point for me was the multiplayer which justified the $30 price tag.
Edit. I was finally able to play multiplayer flawlessly. 5 stars
One of my favorite Vr games to date. This game is amazing it has amazing mechanics and abilities that you unlock as you go. It’s a super fun game to get on with a friend but there’s one issue and it’s that it doesn’t save your campaign with your friend so every time you get on you have to restart which is annoying cause we’ve never beaten it and every time we get close one of our vrs die and we have to restart so if they fix that it would be amazing right now it’s like a 9/10
When will it be upgraded for Quest 3?. "You have to have this in your collection!!! I don't understand how this game is not much higher up and with many more positive reviews. It's truly a fun game, with a hilariously themed hell, overflowing with personality, and the mechanics are very well implemented. For instance, you can handle various different weapons by summoning them to your hands with different gestures you configure with your arms. The enemies and everything you see, in general, have a very well-executed, unique, and immersive art. Speaking of its downsides, sometimes I struggle a bit to aim with the pistol. I think a mode where you can aim more guidedly could be good for those who are less skilled or have less time to play. However, undoubtedly, the worst thing for me is that it doesn't have a graphic upgrade for Quest 3
Great game! With a side question. I loved this game when I purchased it. It takes time leveling up, and I do love something that can take time for the good stuff, but my main concern is that the corruption boss is almost over powered. Once I destroy both arms, I somehow get taken out from the weird Shockwave attack, even though I was in the air. I'm curious about the trick for that boss.
Other than that, this game has been wonderful, I love the capability of combining fire and ice to make a laser, but I was honestly hoping to see the chance to apply that to the weapons at some point. As well as implementing different spell combos aside from the laser.
The graphics are alright, and it has a bit of style to it. Bottom line up front is that this game is a HELL of a lot of fun!
The style, the strategy, it's the best!
In regards to the weapon polls: I think the top three choices would become real game changers for the overall experience. And if you included a player vs. player system, that would probably turn out pretty interesting.
Devil May Cry but VR. This definitely has me feeling like I'm a Devil May Cry character, i only wish that there was a Style meter for switching weapons and doing different skills, and maybe even making the weapons summoning a bit smoother but still 5 stars in my book
