Solid Mediaplayer. I like Pigasus a lot, its my favorite media player on the Quest 2. Sure, SMB access can be a bit... rocky at times, even quitting the whole app, but besides that, it works well. If I had two wishes besides a more stable SMB, it would be having a list view for videos (currently, I only have icons, my video titles are quite long and I have to wait for the scrolling) and to be able to zoom out further of videos (I know how to zoom out, for some videos it doesn't seem to be enough). Do we leave feedback here? I guess so. Suggestions for improvements: Pulling the trigger when not near the menu should close it, aiming for a tiny little x in the upper corner is annoying. Clicking the joystick to play/pause accidentally causes zoom (3D) or skip forward, using the inner paddle would not be annoying. In 3d mode, pulling the trigger and dragging to readjust orientation causes image to go from 3D to 2D, it hurts my eyes, with the menu opening and disabling 3D its not a problem because I can re-focus on the menu, when there's no menu to re-focus on, it makes me go crosseyed. Also adjusting IPD with no 3D causes unnecessary menu diving. Would be good if little things improved. The UI is ok but the UX needs improvement, though I do like pigasus.
'Headset Tracking' forced requirement ! With the latest update forced 'Headset Tracking' has been implemented which i personally have switched off and never use due to various reasons.
UPDATE:- Thank you to the developer for fixing this issue within a day, i'm so glad it was just a bug and not intentional Back to five stars from me.
Amazing.... This app is amazing, I've used it for 10 minutes on my Quest 2 and it already hard crashed 3 times... it keeps forgetting my samba password (and I use a synology, so it's robust) even though I told it to remember my password, sometimes all samba share (even from other computers) just disappear, some videos are just way too slow and randomly stop, there are random white pixel appearing on videos,... Too bad when it's working it's quite nice...
Displays comic books. I was pleased to discover I can view CBZ, CBR and PDF files.
Watching videos is not perfect though. It sometimes gets locked into the 360 cube mode. The only way to get out is to exit the video - sometimes, I have to start and exit several times to get out of this mode.

The best VR media player! "Pigasus VR Media Player" is awesome, the best viewer for my Oculus Quest 2. I noticed just two thihgs: - At the maximum size the image is big, but a bit bigger would be perfect. - With photos the ZOOM is made just into the shape of original aspect ratio. For example if a photo is 4:3 the zoom will work only in that area, Is not possible to use the entire screen.
Doesn't work on Quest 3 - Works now. Opened it once and it crashed my entire headset to the point I had to completely reset it. Tried again, crashes on startup. Doesn't work.
Edit: Reinstalled and rebooted and it works now. Not the easiest installation process but it does work.
Remove forced tracking! It was very good app until now. Now it needs tracking to run so I can't use it because I have it always disabled. I don't know why should I need tracking when I watch video sitting on my couch?!
Please support interlaced video. I think it is a good video player. However, it does not seem to be able to handle interlaced videos, and the picture quality is degraded because it does not de-interlace. I would like to see this point improved.
Can’t see 2D videos or pics. I can’t see 2D pics or videos right now. I can open the 2D videos. The audio is fine, however the video is blurry, so as the 2D pics. And the problem persisted even I reinstalled the app. Too many bugs with unstable system
Best player so far. I found this to be the best player I tried so far as it does video and photos. The only hick up I got is some of my 2D 360 photos shows as stereoscopic or something when I pull them up the first time and I have to tell the app that it is a 2D 360. The FAQ states that if I name the file Something_360.jpg then it would show automatically as 2D 360 but it does not.
Best video player for quest. This app has been my go to app for watching my videos on Quest (and perhaps even on the Go before that).
Matches the frame rate of your videos the best of any app to ensure that pans in films are as smooth as possible, works with many file formats and even 3d video files (including full SBS files which look pretty incredible)
Great developer support, it’s the first player that I would ever recommend anyone to get!
Would still like to see some more work on some form of 3d surround audio playback that puts the speaker channels where they should be as the cherry on the cake, to complement the great visuals!
SMB is broken. I’m a returning customer, I try to use pigasus previously, it had SMB connectivity issues. After an year I again bought the app, it’s still garbage it can’t connect to any of my SMB shares at home while skybox does everytime with ease, so please fix this issue immediately! Thanks!
Also why isn’t developers pushing updates frequently when they know that this app has lot of bugs??? It’s like they aren’t even trying!!
