Solve the challenges proposed by an artificial intelligence, unlock the 3 robot masks of this reality, and switch between them using your high-tech bracelet. Wear the yellow mask to be strong and able to carry large crates, climb walls and bridges by hanging from your hands, or switch to the green mask if you want to gain privileges and fire lasers at hidden targets to unlock doors, or even, hack the AI system with the purple mask and change the rules of the game, but beware, your job is to make sure this AI is ready to rule the planet and not screw it up.
UNBINARY is an excellent game for anyone just starting out in virtual reality or looking to impress someone with its 100% hand-painted cartoon-style graphics.
Not very challenging, unsatisfactory. The game features simple, but unique graphics. Yet, it always felt unpleasant to be in the environment.
Unfortunately, the gameplay lacks severely. The individual levels are not very long and are quickly done with, due to there not being proper puzzles. Every level is linear in how to advance through it, at no point was there ever a cause for me to think about my next step - I just had to follow what the level put in front of me next.
Interaction with objects is very limited. If you can interact with something, you need to interact with it. The environment has tons of buttons and terminals, but you quickly learn that you only ever interact with a handful of objects.
By the time I thought I'm done with the tutorial, I was presented with the credits and a "thanks for playing" message.
Sound Design is also a big issue. The music was monotonous, and the voice acting performance was unconvincing most of the time, and annoying the rest of the time (this pertains to the English voice acting, I can't judge the Portuguese voice acting.)
Overall, I am generously giving this game 2 stars, but if you're looking for a challenging puzzle game, look elsewhere.
I’m amazed. This game is really good it’s a must play! I only found once glitch that made the game unplayable and I have no footage on YouTube or anything else… BUT STILL AWESOME! I got the game on the day of his game rating and I really like it! It’s very cool, the funniest part is when your wearing that one mask and the robots just chase you around

Yep it's good. Don't sleep on this challenging (but not frustrating) puzzler, in an original and colorful world
Fun but can’t play for too long! I enjoy this game! The puzzles are fun and the graphics are decent, but I can’t play for long periods because it’s easy to get motion sickness.
Enjoyable game. Just finished the game, and was happy I played it! It has some neat mechanics that build as you go, adding new functions and abilities. I'm not the best at puzzle games, and it took me about 4 hours, but I only needed to look at a walkthrough once to figure out how to advance (and that was only because there was a glitch toward the end where the platform a robot was on didn't stay lowered after I threw the switch in the other room, and I thought it did something else). The interactions with the robots were fun, especially when they gripe at you and shove you backwards if you get too close.
The story was all right. I couldn't fault the AI for being the way it was, since it was trained by humans, after all, so understandably could apply a code of morality to what are essentially machines working in a factory. One could argue that by helping the AI in its quest, you are corrupting the machines. I was viewing the situation differently than the AI did: robots doing their jobs until broken, robots rightly rejecting other kinds of robots that were in the wrong area, removing batteries from robots as a neutral mechanical act rather than an act of violence. But it's still interesting to know the AI's point of view in the story. It's funny that it wasn't considered sexual harassment when a robot would become enamored of you and invade your personal space as a stalker XD.
I loved the animation style and the music was pretty good. Sometimes I need to turn music off, but this music added to the overall environment. At times, the movement was clunky, like when trying to grab things to climb. It helps to make sure you hear the grab sound before trying to move up. A few times I was worried about not being able to reach things, since, at 5'5", some distances were a stretch. But not too many problems in the game itself.
Anyway, I recommend this unique VR game for a relaxing puzzle with no rush or real danger, even if the AI tries to hurry you along.
This game is great, however…. This is a great game! But I feel like this story isn’t quite done yet. There are things about this world that hasn’t really been explained, maybe these mysteries will be explained in a sequel or possibly prequel. Who knows? Anyway this is a great game and I hope we get more stuff like this!
Solid puzzle game. A nice and solid puzzle game. The special thing is definitely the graphic style and the story of Unbinary with the AI. I enjoyed the puzzles with the different masks, but they are not particularly challenging. With the different masks, you have different abilities like shooting or climbing. Overall, the game can be played in a relaxed manner, and there is no rush or stress. All in all, it's not outstanding, but it's solid and good with beautiful graphics - I enjoyed the game, it was fun.
Take this game and thank me later. I played UNBINARY Early Access on PC, and now I bought it for Quest 2. It's one of the most impactful games I've played in VR, I've played it for a long time and I can't get enough of the hand-painted art and funny story. Also the AI voice is excellent and stands out from the other games.
Game looks great, but broken. I really enjoyed the look of this, and found the puzzles very entertaining if not TOO challenging, but my rating is dropped quite a bit because the game broke when I was almost at the end, so if I want to finish I will have to start over, with no guarantee it won't do the same thing. VERY frustrating.
EDIT: I upped my rating because I was able to finish after the developer made me aware that I could retry just from the beginning of the last chapter. Previously after getting the first data cube it SAID the level was starting over, but left me locked in the room where I got the cube.
Head Scratcher +25% off. What a truly wonderful game, it’s full of little puzzles to solve, the graphics are just amazing, looks like time was well spent on this creation. You will need a little standing space for this game. The start of this game is a little slow only to show you the the incorporated tutorial but once you are past that it is all yours to go at your own pace. If you want a game to fire rapidly and destroy everything in your path, then this is NOT the game for you, this game has its moments but it’s more about solving and working your way through wonderful environments. For some reason the referral code pasted directly into the review has stopped working so the only work around is for me to send you the code. So if you want that 25% off then send me a message and I’ll get right back to you with the referral 25% off code. Don’t forget to tell me what game you would like to code for. Happy gaming.
Very unique game. This game does things differently in many aspects.
The hand-drawn graphics are very unique and beautiful, I have been completely blown away a few times by the beauty. For some strange reason I had one of the strongest feelings of immersion out of all the games I ever played - perhaps due to the uneven and asymetrical objects (because in real life asymetry is everywhere) and unique (kinda stop-motion) animation. Sometimes the game felt like a vivid dream, which is just awesome.
I really liked the voice acting and the AI Webby also threw in a few good jokes, which was nice. Also the sound design is great.
The gameplay was smooth - not too easy and not too difficult, puzzles were interresting.
I have not encountered any glithces or bugs.
The only part that I was “meh” about was the story - it’s a very on-the-nose allegory that sometimes felt like a political lecture. Whether you will like it depends on you, it’s not an universally lovable story.
I originally wanted to substract 1 star because of the story but then decided to still give it 5 stars - whether one likes a story is very subjective.
Overall it’s a great and unique game and I would recommend you to try it - there is nothing else like this on the store :)
Great animation... short game. Let's get something straight. This games animation is top notch, love it, I love the robot designs and their characteristics in the game...
But I've completed the entire game in a 1 hour and 30 min session.
I personally don't think this game should be $15 dollars for that reason, it is a very quick puzzle game.
So I'm personally going to try to get a refund due to how short this game is (to experienced puzzle solvers)
But if the size of the game isn't a issue to you, I highly recommend this game
