casual fun. Very casual. No pressure. Easy to build beautiful structures. You find your own goals. Variety starts running out after an hour or so, but in total there are likely at least 4 hours of fun. There are flatscreen versions, but the VR version has way better immersion and controls. This is one of my most frequently opened games, because it opens fast and is comforting.
To the dev: A feature I would love to have is a tilted view so that I can use this lying down.
Amazing but could use a little bit more. It is an amazing game I spent 3hours the first time I launched the game and have spent many more just building and competing with my brother on who can make the most creative city. My only complaint is the lack of boats. Ports water ways and canals are common yet there are no boats
Building to my hearts content. I had this sim on Xbox and quite enjoyed just wasting time chilling and popping up some amazing towns. I wish you could also place people and boats and maybe airships or balloons into the town. Would add more realism to it. The towns sadly don’t come alive after you’ve built them. It could have people animations as you build. It’s the only thing it really lacks. But still just love building the floating towns. A great waste of time! I find it really relaxing. In VR it’s even better!!! Wing able to scale up or down or spin the area around is brilliant! I drew an area in my lounge so I could walk around the model town. It has come alive all over again! I hope the developer actually adds some features to this. COME ON DO SOME ADD ONS! CHARGE MONEY IM WILLING TO OART WITH CASH FIR GOD SAKE!!!!
Wholesome and very simple. There is no goal, no winning, no losing. You simply build your town the way you want and enjoy all the tiny little nooks and crannies. Extremely chill experience. Love it.
Very Simple, But Fun! It’s kinda simple, but that is what makes it fun. Because it forces you to think outside of the box. Like how Minecraft forces you to make furniture instead of just flat out giving it to you.
But one suggestion, you should add more variety of blocks like road or farmland to give the world more life.
Very relaxing. This game is extremely relaxing and fun. I like how you can build tall or wide change the time of day or the color of the house. As you go through you learn what doing different things will do to your city. My only wish is that there was music or some sort of sound track that played in the background instead of just silence, also I wish how wide you build didn't effect how tall you can build and vice-versa. All in all this is a good game that i can spend hours at at a time playing.
Chillest sandbox game. You can’t get this game and say you didn’t feel a new level of calm unlike anything before. The game brings such an easy relaxing feeling whenever I’m stressed about the real world. A much better thing to do in your free time than other options these days!
Chill, fun concept, little lacking. Found myself enjoying this game a lot, aimlessly playing urban designer for hours. I love zooming at max and positioning myself on some balcony to look over my town and get a sense of the space. It feels like I'm really there. This game has shortcomings though, lots of little things that could make a big difference. I want to have:
- The option to hold the trigger/A button to quickly add and remove elements one layer at time. As it is you have to to press the trigger hundreds of times if you want to fill a larger space.
- Better control over the weather, season, time of day and sun angle, sky and lighting colour, etc. I want to see my city at sunset or at night with street lights. Right now it's just a depressing dull grey with cloud-cover, same as my city's weather in Nov/Dec. Not very uplifting, I'm using VR to escape.
- The option to point and click on a spot and be transported there at full magnification and to walk around on the ground, or fly with the joystick like in walkabout mini golf. You can do those manually using panning and pinch-zoom, but it's clunky and imprecise. This would greatly help experience your city at the human scale.
- A bit more control over sculpting a space and deciding where to put little trees and benches and doors and so on. I love that it's done procedurally and how it sometimes create tiny cozy spots automatically, but the variety is limited. I find myself longing to create pretty little town squares and long stair cases. I want to put a small statue or fountain here, a cute store front or coffee shop with a couple tables and chair outside there, moss or vines crawling up a large wall, but I can't.
- The possibility to build over ground instead of water.
- That might be a lot to ask, but more than one choice of architectural style for your whole city.
I guess what I'm saying is that this could be a great "charming miniature old European town" builder, but it's unfortunately still a little too blocky and rigid right now.
Strangely relaxing. Very simplistic, yet it draws you into popping these little villages into existence. I seem to come back to this for a few minutes of popping each week...
Although a very polished UI, it kinda leaves me wanting more - maybe the ability to then explore your creations from a first-person perspective would be nice. Level builders for other games could learn a thing or two :-)
