Momo is a nickname given to a sculpture of a young woman with long black hair, large bulging eyes, a wide smile and bird legs. Pictures of the sculpture are associated with an urban legend involving a WhatsApp phone number that messages disturbing photographs to those that attempt to contact it, linked to a game referred to as the "Momo Challenge" or "Momo Game."

Best VR Horror! Really awesome horror game that takes an iconic urban legend and puts a modern spin on it. You play as a stupid piece of ♥♥♥♥ child who texts "Momo" on her "smart-phone," just like people do in real life, and she learns immediately that she made a mistake! You have a lot of choice in the game, with the option to say cuss words at Momo even though you're a little kid, which makes it realistic because kids nowadays are so worthless and disgusting they cuss and use "smart-phones" before they're even old enough to drink some weed. This in turn helps ground the game in its gritty, dark setting, making it believable enough that you almost feel like you're really in this twisted world where Momo can come for you at any time, and you're just a pawn in her little scheme.
Furthermore, the outright frightening and paranoid nature of the game is juxtaposed with its cheery music; a looping piano cover of "humpty dumpty," which symbolises the teetering balancing act you, the player, are forced to partake in. One wrong move, and Momo can kill you! This lightheartedness that is entwined with the game's horrifying atmosphere is a recurring motif as you'll want to believe you are still but a happy child doing happy things, but really you have grim, dark, and messed up things happening to you CONSTANTLY! You're always being watched by the fickle Momo who can make you do anything she wants. An oppressive story told through a modern take that anyone can relate to that I would recommend to anyone who can muster up the courage to stand up to Momo and survive.
