Best mech game and keeps getting better. I got this when it first released on quest, played it standalone, and already liked a lot of things about it. I had some minor complaints at the time, but most of those have since been addressed in the updates, including all sorts of other improvements. It looks great in PC VR. Cockpit is a good balance of physically arranged but not so complicated that you can't do what you're trying to without looking. Mechs have enough variety to each be unique, but nothing too whacky that ruins the experience or overpowers the rest as an obvious best choice, and which mech you pick with which loadout has a significant impact on how to engage and what battle is like, which makes it easy to mix things up mid-match. I completed the story long ago but still do offline training with bots (no interest in multiplayer, and I prefer to pick my location, weather, other settings), the bots work work great. The story had plenty of unique missions and objectives, so it wasn't simply a series of skirmishes with different unit groups.
Wonderfully immersive! Love this game! One of my absolute favorites from the world of VR gaming. The single player campaign is amazing! I love the humor and the different quirky characters and the deep background of this sci-fi universe. You really feel as part of the crew. The only thing I don't like is the dithering effects. This kind of destroys the immersion a little. I guess it makes sense for the quest because of its limitations, but why is it in the pc version as well? But all in all thanks so much for this great game. I wished there was more VR content like this. On that note: Please make a sequel to the single player story :-) !
Best VR mech game by far. This game is amazing. I have been playing it for over two years and have seen the game get updated frequently. Really excited for the new campaign/story mode as well as it working on the quest.
Highly recommended. One is the best vr games I have experienced and the community is friendly and helpful.
This game has been updated frequently. The most recent update added some new weapons and they are awesome. Mines/artillery/ faster missiles/ a giant mini gun. Fantastic job devs!! Game is super balanced. Every mech and weapon has a purpose and is well balanced. The devs have worked hard to get the game balanced.
Thanks for the Campaign! I haven't enjoyed a mech game this much since Mech warrior 2. It has lot of surprising options an settings that are PC friendly. Please improve the resolution of the environment outside the Competence's window and maybe animate it a bit.
A brilliant Mech Game for VR. Pros: Customizable loadouts for each mech to fit your playstyle Physics Engaging combat Beautiful graphics Fluid controls Sound and Music
Cons: Multiplayer game with very small community (this will change with the campaign+quest 2 release!) Lack of incentive to keep coming back aside from having fun (let's face it, we like chasing after something, whether it be for unlocks, titles, cosmetics, or any sort of achievement to reach).
Final thoughts: The fun factor is already there, its a very fun game, its just lacking a player base and a reason for players to keep coming back. However, with the campaign and quest 2 release coming, I'm hoping this game gets the recognition it deserves and we get to see this game turn into a true popular live service VR game! Looking forward to March 3rd!
Usual standard boring mech trash. Vox Machinae is your usual slow-paced thumpy thumpy boring VR "mech" garbage where your choices of mech are various different shapes of boxes on legs. Also, the mechs handle like absolute garbage in the air and have both way too little acceleration with the boosters and way too much inertia when they actually get moving. The final nail in the coffin is that you can't strafe without boosters, so if you're out of boost you're crap out of luck and just have to sit there and get pounded by enemy fire.
Best VR game! But........... I joined this community a few months ago and I say "joined community " casue the community for this game is a group of amazing people!!!! The regulars who play are amazing and new players are accepted and welcomed. I got good and became a regular! Game play is fun PC graphics are a huge step up from Oculas. However after the last update I can no longer get online to play. Something changed this appearntly is an issue for those who are using 5G cellular tethering or cellular 5G home internet. It used to work well but now its nearly impossible to get into an online game. Campaign mode is a good start to help you prepair for online gameing but online gaming is where al lthe fun happens! I hope they fix this soon but its been months! 4G tethering seems to work okay. I've heard from others that some home ISP are an issue too. Other then that this game is A++++ and my fav VR game hands down!
Some of the most fun I have ever had! I will not be able to describe how good this game is, it is truly a masterpeice in terms of fun!
I heard about this game about 2 weeks ago and waited to research it. All of a sudden its getting a quest port and its cross buy so I imeddietly open up my oculus app, buy it, and start up Revive and... HOLY COW ITS GOOD.
This game ticks all the boxes for a great game its got fun and uniqe gameplay, awsome visuals, a soon to be added campign mode with a full story, cinimatic combat, weighty and good controls, and immersive nature! It amazing and I really appriciate what the devs did here.
I can really only judge multiplayer rn as the campign drops on March 3rd
But I will say the multiplayer is... AMAZING!!!!!!! I cant say much but ist just so much fun and the lobby I got in was full of kind and welcoming people who were happy to talk and teach me some basics!

Great battle mech game. I'm having a lot of fun with this one. The controls were a little difficult initially but once you get used to them you understand the beauty of the physics. You pilot a large battle mech where you really get a sense for the large mass of it. There seems to be a good amount of strategy involved as well. Highly recommend.
Polished immersiveness (&Xplay/Xbuy)! I was pleasantly surprised by this game and now feel stupid having slept on it for all the time I have had PCVR. Ironically I bought it because it came out on Quest but I mostly use Quest 1 + PCVR still while a family member uses the Quest 2 so I actually played this version. Having cross buy plus cross play and even getting to play with flat PC players is amazing! And I am really shocked by the overall level of polish of the immersion experience with this game- felt just as immersive (obviously in wildly different gameplay styles) as Alyx or Lone Echo. Little touches like the menu really placing you in the game environment rather than a displayed flat screen like most VR games or how your avatar on character creation moves their mouth when you speak, or how you can actually see people’s avatars naturally talking in MP on a screen in multiplayer and can interact physically with so many things in the mech are just spot on. Great work devs and thank you so much for being so consumer friendly with cross buy and cross play, it’s literally the reason I finally gave this game a chance.
Best use of VR to date, needs content. I have played many VR titles since I purchased my CV1 and this is by far one of my favorites. The controls feel natural and are intuitive, and the immersion is through the roof.
Further thoughts: 1. The customization is bare-bones, but effective at allowing for different playstyles. 2. The playerbase is great, but small. 3. PvP is fun and engaging, but I would be interested in seeing some sort of campaign. 4. Super immersive. 5. Great sense of scale. 6. Has a great aesthetic that makes it feel more grounded.
All in all, I believe this game has amazing potential and would highly recomend this to any person who's ever imagined piloting a giant robot. Would give a 4.5 if the site allowed.
Only one issue. Low Player Base, The game is amazing and i hjave a blast playing it, even without players, and when there are guys online the whole community seems pretty possitive. The game is amazing and if you are thinking about buying it then you should.
Feature to minimize motion sickness. The game is fun and immersive. I would ask the developer to allow the player to limit the up-and-down motion being displayed while the mech is walking, to minimize motion sickness (unless there is one already and I haved missed the setting control). In addition, please add single player campaign -- I am old school mech gamer and am not into PvP especially when it is the only option. Thank you.
