Theta Legion is an immersive first person shooter for the Oculus Rift. Play seated with stick movement and comfort settings for that or go full room scale and duck and dodge around enemy fire in a tough-as-nails retro FPS with multiple locomotion options. Prepare to die - a lot - until you are good enough to reach the heart of The Corporation and end their sinister plans... Inspired by classics such as Doom and Quake, Theta Legion visual features include pixel-art textures and a mix of 3D environments and 2D sprites.
Buy it if you like retro games. This is a great retro game style with modern VR controls. I don’t think this company has made a bad vr game yet, I have them all and if you love ❤️ this game there’s more fun to be had with shock troopers over on the quest 2. I really really recommend this game if you like retro shooters.
Super Game in Retro style. The Graphics are Better than Shock Troops. (quest 2 version of this game). But ofcouse the Graphics are not so high in a standalone device.
Fantastic atmosphere with great gunplay. This game is a call back into the old-school FPS with some great modernizations. Shooting feels great, traversing is fast yet comfortable. Really enjoy the visuals and the atmosphere it builds. Some slight jump scares with some of the creatures but armed with your weapons it makes them fun to deal with.
Highly recommend, especially if you are a fan of classic FPS games.
Retro fun. A highly polished retro experience that ticks so many boxes: it looks great, runs smoothly, has a host of atmospheric environments from tight corridors to wide open hangers, satisfying weapons and combat, and most importantly of all, it's fun.
QuestとSteamのStones of HarlathのメーカーであるGarage Collectiveが作った、これまたノスタルジックで必携のゲームです。

How did I not know about this until now?. This game is a nostalgic blast! Like playing Duke Nukem in VR! The game runs smooth and has all the options a VR game should have. I love the retro feel of being in the game.
Made by Garage Collective, makers of Stones of Harlath on Quest and Steam, another nostalgic, must have game.
This is not a good game. So almost all the reviews on here and on YouTube are saying what a wonderful game this is. The retro FPS shooter of your dreams, come to reality for VR. Well, I'm here to tell you that it's not true. This game is actually bad.
The combat mechanics are poor, mostly because the enemy AI is so laughably bad. There's several bugs. You can cheese the boss fights. Snap and smooth turning are both very slow. Jumping is horribly implemented.
But you don't need to take my word for it. See all the glowing videos for this game on YouTube. Then watch mine & decide for yourself: https://youtu.be/GQNgMKE5xDQ
really fun. as a fan of pixel art and retro games i'm enjoying this so much. Atmosphere, explosions, level design... are great, extremely fun to play. Only flaws are some gliches with water reflections, and that sound looks totally flat (2D). Other than that awesome game. Hope this comes to Quest too.
Update: That was fast!!!! great support. After last update water reflections looks perfect now, and spatial sound is working too. Good work!!
awesome. this game was really worth the price for admission. I really don't have any criticisms at the moment, it's pretty easy to cheese some of the game by poking your head through walls. never thought pixelated aliens could scare the living crap out of me but here we are. I'm stuck at the map where they show up heh. Something about jump scares is a bit of a put off for what I was playing like a run and gun. Maybe that is a bit of criticism I suppose. I still really enjoy this game and maybe eventually ill see to it till the end. You've done some impecible work making the game feel retro and new at the same time.
