They promised a good job and a bright future. But advertising posters always lie. Instead of a quiet life - war. Instead of a body, a steel shell. Instead of weapons - tools. Thousands of light years from home. You are alone. Nowhere to run. Good luck my friend...
Pretty Fun and polished game! but.... Gunplay is interesting!
Guns are 2 handed, so aiming is done with both hands as the weapon aligns itself between tour 2 hands. This makesofr a full body Aiming experience.
Enemies are varied and ave unique abilities. Though everything feels a bit "Stiff" and non-dynamic. I think its the lack of Physics-based interactions.
My main negative: I died in level 3 and the game forces me to restart form level 1. Theres no save system, and everytime I hit "Play" It always goes to level 1... Please fix this and Id love to update the review. I think the game deserves 4 stars, not 3.
Wonderful. This is a great and playable demo of a game that looks very promising. I am not an expert of ego-shooters, so it took me about 45 minutes to play through this at beginners level. Graphics and sounds are very good, the story voice is good, and the idea behind it seems good as well. Gameplay and usage of controls is very easy to learn and to handle, although I would wish that the activation of weapons was different (using two hands is annoying). Also, the movement may lead to motion sickness, so maybe they could add a way to teleport more. Nevertheless, definitely worth 5 of 5 stars.
Broken for me. I started this and was immediately thrown into a broken menu experience. A menu ahead of me was attached to my headset position, but was too high to be fully visible. My right hand seemed to control a laser, but it didn't seem to do anything. I tried resetting my position via the Oculus dash, no change.
If the devs update this and I spot it's been updated, I'll update this review. But for now, I can only give it one star. Sorry.
tl;dr, it's a bit try hard but it's fine. It's one of those VR super shooters that's a a bit dark, a bit high-contrast, and there isn't much to look at, but it's fine overall. The tutorial hell was a bit much, I know how to shoot a gun with a motion controller. Too much talking. The guns are cool, they animate and do wild things.
