Fantastic. Not sure why the reviews are so low. I have been doing these workouts for about two weeks and I absolutely love them. I do another app for cardio but because I recently fell in love with reformer pilates I appreciate the mat pilates from Camp Pilates. This monthly subscription is an absolute bargain in comparison to going to in person classes and I have felt I am getting the same workout. I just may not get the corrections of form that I need but I feel the instructor is intuitive to point out what I may be doing wrong. I have recommended this app to a few of my friends that have the headset. I really look forward to seeing the long term results because I am definitely feeling a change in my posture and muscle strength after just one week.
Not complete?????. There are a lot of classes that are not open when you first go on the VR .I was assuming that when I was finished with my trial that they would open unfortunately there are only three open classes still you are not getting the full use of the workout program if all of the classes are not open. I feel like I'm paying for only half of the program. When will the other classes be open?
Interesting but nothing special. As other have pointed out this app isn't doing any 3D instructors or environments. It's just 2D videos displayed around you with some nice timers. Instruction is good and it seems like eventually you will get access to a lot of stuff. Right now content is somewhat limited.
My biggest gripe here is because nothing is in 3D you could replace this with a web browser or media player that allows you to place screens around you in the same way but choose any content. Pilates, yoga, boxing ... everything this offers can be found free on YouTube and could be displayed in a similar way if this was just a media player or browser with more control over your windows than the current browsers offer.
The best thing this app does is show the potential of mixed reality workout apps, but ultimately it feels like they didn't commit fully.
Great start for an immersive workout app. The greatest strength of this app is that the stretches and Pilates workouts are so much better when I can see the instructor’s movements no matter which way my head is facing, even when I’m facing down to the mat or up to the ceiling. I’m thinking about buying a barre bar to try those workouts as well. The semi immersion where I can see my movements and my mat help me keep my balance, something that is more of a challenge in other apps.
I would love to see a ‘favorites’ option, as well as either a scheduler or multi-workout programs that help guide me through targeted results.
No free trial. must sign up first. I can’t stand liars. Don’t say there is a free trial when you have to pay before trying it. You not only wasted my time. But I have to see your app on my device that can’t be removed.
Brilliant work out app. Can't believe this isn't widely advertised. I own most of the quest fitness apps and this is a brilliant addition. What a great workout app, very versatile and it has professional personal trainers in hologram 360 degrees around you. I can't wait for the other studios to open and see what else you come up with. The headset is in no way an obstacle when doing floor work, it is fully hand tracked and is working all smooth. Glad I found you guys!
Can't wait for the updates. When I first saw this app, I knew right away that I was going to really like it because it had yoga, stretching and Pilates workouts. Then I saw that it had coming soon, Rowing and boxing and a bunch of other stuff that I knew I was gonna LIKE so I was ready for the yearly subscription. But when I tried it, I must say I was a bit disappointed as to why would the developers think we would want to have reality and VR mix in one? I want to be fully immersed in VR and don't want to see my room cause that's very distracting. If i wanted to do that i could have just put on a YouTube video. I hope you guys take suggestions because I'm going to suggest this every chance that I get. Ther needs to be an option to be fully in V. R not half-and-half. Other then that, the app is amazing and I cannot wait till they add more rooms. that is the only reason why I have gave it Four stars and not five
Surprised! I went into the week trial period thinking that I would “maybe” use it once. Like most trial games I get on my oculus. I stand corrected. I was been diagnosed with COPD and as someone who runs, that’s crushing. I live in a constant Smokey province and my cat allergies don’t help. So many things in my environment have prevented my lungs from getting better enough to get me back to running. I recently got over having bronchitis and things are still congested but I’m able to get back to light activities. I have been lazying around the apartment for months now, feeling sorry and watching all my running muscle fade away. I tried the intense boxing and fitness games on my oculus and every single one of them trigger massive coughing fits for me. They’re all too intense with the cardio for my lungs at this stage. I also thought activities like Pilates was incredibly fluffy. It looks like a bunch of stretching. I don’t like a few of the trainers. How they speak throws me off when I focus on them too much. Chloe is hard to understand at times because she jams her words when she rushes to catch up to her movement instructions due to her tangents, or when she stretches certain words out as of to punctuate, is annoying at times. Victoria is oddly flirty in her tone and it’s weird at times how her voice “sways” buuuuut it’s actually great because it forces me to focus harder on my balance and movements and tune every thing else out. I wish I can move their placement, though. Eg. When I am down at bridge- my face should be pointed up, but I have to angel it awkwardly at times to see where the instructor is at. But I love that the instructor has multiple placements in general. That is a common overlooked feature on fitness games. I just wish they were a little movable. If that makes sense. I just either need to “un” align a bit and turn my head to the side while in position or tuck my chin and look down to my knees. Overall- 30 mins on this program feels like 5 min of stretching and than suddenly there is muscle aches rewarding you in the morning. I actually set my own timer for 31 mins because I didn’t believe I was actually doing 30 mins. It’s crazy. I literally melt every time. I am discovering muscles I didn’t know I had… I know this because of the aches ;-) I 100% underestimated Pilates as a real fitness program, holy cow! Best part:: my lungs feel great afterwards!!! All the breath work is actually helping me strengthen my day to day breathing, I’ve needed my puffers a lot less this past week. So thank you for offering the trial period!! I wouldn’t have discovered an exercise that I can do AND bitterly enjoy, if you hadn’t.
This game earned the 5 stars from me and I will be continuing to a subscription. Thanks again. :-)
Off to a really good start!! I think I could really love this game/work out a lot! Right now it has a stretch, and Pilates w/o and is great. It’s like having a hologram right in your house. And you’re very own personal trainer .The workouts are pretty good! I’m excited and looking forward to the boxing and yoga coming . So much potential here. Keep it coming. Thank you.
Issues. There are some very good things about this app (e.g., the brands involved, great instructors). But they don't overcome problems:
• Only Barr, Pilates, stretch brands. More are promised but developers offer no timeline. • Few workouts in each brand. • No full VR — a missed opportunity.
For me, the urge to return just isn't there. Yet I can't get enough of other vr fitness apps.
Is xponential better than the array of free 2D fitness videos already available? Yes, but not in the quantity and not in a way that appeals to a meta quest fitness user.
Developers could check out fitness apps with loyal followings.
Hint: Basic gamification, useful stats, a good size library, recommended next workout, minimal barriers to starting workout...
Feels like they rushed this to market. It has potential, but in the meantime they're turning off would-be users.
Great app but have some suggestions. Just discovered the app. I would like to suggest short and less intensive exersizes for 60+, sitting down or standing up. Also I would love to separate my favorite workouts so that I can create my own daily training program.
Sooo grateful to find this!! Absolutely love this! Being able to see the instructor's from every angle is an outstanding feature! It really sets this app apart from other workout apps. Doing pilates style workouts or stretching can often be tricky to follow while trying to watch from a small flat screen on normal devices, but this VR experience solves that. No more straining your neck to watch what to do! Yayyy! 🙌 You feel like you have your own personal trainer in the comfort of your home... it's brilliant!
Linking breathwork with physical movements has been my mission to find in VR. This app delivers beautifully! Can't wait for the other workouts to launch! This app is so good... I signed up for a full year subscription. Kutos to the developers!! Thank you!! ❤️
A great workout. I’ve been waiting for a programme like this. I love that you can see the instructor from all angles, even when faced to the floor. The headset can be a bit tricky when laying on the mat, but that is to be expected. Passthrough works great for when the dog walks in! I’m looking forward to the cycling and boxing workouts becoming available. Can’t wait to see how this app develops. Great job so far.
Great Potential! The workouts are great, and I love being able to see the trainers at all angles. I look forward to future studios becoming available. I wish it had some kind of scoring or feedback for my form. It looks like new workouts will be available pretty frequently, which is exciting.
