The best method to become fluent. I've been learning foreign languages for the last 10 years. On my road to achieving my goal I've being testing hundred of methods. The best way I found is imitation learnin, what requires you to repeat and emulate the situations to memorise words or even complete sentences. Once you use VR for it your brain create by far more connections as just trying to imagine being in a specific situation. Noun Town is my favorite place to visit even without actively learning nouns your language skills will improve by just walking around and talking with the super cool characters around. I personally recommend Noun Town for learning Chinese and Japanese.
The best language program in the whole w. It is a truly wonderful program. You can understand languages from your place in the virtual world as if you were actually in the country whose language you would like to learn without traveling.
❤️ ❤️❤️ Love it! Great app! Learning feels more like an adventure than a task. The interactive exercises, quizzes, and challenges are so much fun. The learning rush mode is probably one of my favorites. I find myself totally immersed, role-playing while interacting with my “customers.“ I also like the fact that I can create items for my airbase, I do this especially for the ones that are hard to remember. 煙探知機 ー even I cannot believe myself that I have this word memorized just after a day. Now I know how to say smoke detector in Japanese 😁 But honestly though, what truly steals the show for me is the team behind Noun Town. These folks are beyond amazing—they actually listen to us! Once, I reported a bug, and within a day, it was fixed. That level of dedication speaks volume. Sure, every app has its quirks, but here, I find that they're just minor blips and never ruin the learning excitement. Noun Town isn't just an app; it's a community of passionate learners supported by an incredible team. I definitely recommend this app for all language enthusiasts alike. Thank you for all of your hard work!
Recent update resolved issues. Editing my review for the January 2023 update.
The app no longer freezes or crashes, MR mode is functional, and voice recognition mostly works (need to give it a second before speaking).
The developers also added smooth locomotion. Noun Town teleport movement is kind of broken in that minor last millisecond movements in the joystick seem to cause you to point in a random direction each time you teleport. Smooth locomotion means you can avoid this.
I wish there was an easy way to review NPC conversations.
Addictive. I'm a nerd and I love learning new things so I find this game great. It's also very addictive. You want to learn all the words at once but the Quest battery does not last that long. I'm currently playing, recharging and then playing again, etc.
I will probably use this app/game for more than learning words in one language, as it offers multiple languages.
The team behind Noun Town are great and they are very active on Discord, ready to help. Their engagement to continue developing the product makes this worthy title to have in my library.
Best game ever! I have been waiting for Arabic to come around and am very well pleased with French and, as long as you learn something 10m a day I think this app is a powerful tool to learn a language and I will support them. They have a wonderful community and discord. If you are looking to learn a language then look no further and buy the game today.
Amazing. I have loved the game, and the truth is I enjoy it a lot. However, my native language is Spanish, and I would like to be able to use this game to learn other languages.
Fortunately, I know a bit of English, and this helps me, but it would be easier if I could choose my native language and learn an additional language properly.
Update: This game was a 10 out of 10, but now it’s a 1000 out of 10. This latest update has been incredible; now that more languages have been included, it will be easier for some to learn. Plus, it provides many more language learning options.
Fun and engaging language app! I enjoy this app a lot, from the cute characters and music, to the variety of recorded native speakers that help you nail pronunciation.
The mixed reality experience is fun too. The verb activity is a highlight for me, with some interactive objects reinforcing new verbs as you learn them.
Definitely recommend this to language enthusiasts of all types!
Immersing learning! I cannot say it louder: best way to immersively learn a language! Not perfect, but definitely in the right direction to experience VR masterpieces. Feels like the developers aim for the best user experience 😊
So far soo great. The biggest problem when learning a language is repetition and having someone or something to converse with.
Just got this app and loving it already. They suggested 5 words a day. I like how things are set up. Learning at your own pace, can check your pronunciation, and test you as you learn. I can see myself learning more than one language
Won’t let me select a language. I love this game but it crashed on me months ago and I’ve been constantly trying to get it to work again. It lets me get up to the language select and then it won’t load beyond that. I’ve uninstalled, reinstalled, updated , and did anything I could think of but nothing. When it worked I loved everything about it but I can’t play it anymore and it kinda sucks. Hopefully it could be fixed and I can play it again.
Update : the instructions worked and I’m also so happy that they responded so fast and helped fix it. Glad to use it again and learn!!
I figured it out, thank you so much!! Edit 1: I want to rate this 5 stars so bad. I'll gladly change this to 5 stars if I can get the game to work, because I did get to play a very little bit and it seems like a very fun new way to learn!! It loads just fine but then I'll try to leave the tutorial area and everything is grayed out when I hit the Y button to leave. All I can change is the settings and it's not saving the words I pick up and learn. Cannot find anything online about this, so I figured I'd try to ask for help here. And if I leave the game it remembers nothing and I start the tutorial from the beginning, each time I leave the game.
Edit 2: I just went into the game with a fresh set of eyes. I want to thank you so much for your time!! I couldn't get past the tutorial, Progress #5, and then I realized that all I had to do was press my pointer to my upper wrist to get the other screen to pop up. I can see myself playing this game a lot as a new way to learn Spanish. Thank you again for making the game and showing a new way to learn. :-)
Best learning app on quest ²5 ℅ off. Love the mixed reality learning option. This make the learning so much fun, the developer is updating Noun Town very often and adding new features ( like new Languages and scenes). If you want pay ¼ less use ❤💗 πττρ://gry, Вi0, Linκ💗❤
Something Wrong~. I don’t know why when I held a colorless object and wanted to learn the vocabulary words, the game’s small computer assistant did not provide me with pronunciation and information🙈 Can you please help?
Yeah~ thx you for the quick reply and help🙏🏻 problem solved 🎉 prefect follow up👍🏻 Amazing game and excellent follow up service!
