The VR App produced for the CHARM project, co-funded by the COSME Initiative of the European Union, offers to the visitors the possibility to explore in an immersive way Palazzo Trao Ventimiglia in Vizzini, Italy. The palace hosts the Museum of Verga’s imaginary.
Grab your Quest and controllers and enjoy the virtual path through the spaces of the museum!
Cool. It's a nice photogrammetry experience. While very low poly and with low res textures, it does manage to capture some of the Italian house atmosphere and makes you feel like you are exploring the museum.
What didn't work though, is a start menu that is stuck to user's head. That's a huge "no" in the VR comfort book. Also, why not use trigger for selecting options instead of the A button? I thought the game's menu was broken at first (being stuck to the head movement and trigger not working).
Just horrible. I couldn't use this for more than 3 minutes. First of all, the UI is fixed to your face, so you can't even look at the whole thing because of the FOV, and made me sick!
Can't use trigger button, the locomotion system is horrible, can't rotate yourself, everything is pixelated, the model is very low quality, etc etc. Seems like the developers never had any experience with VR development, or ever used VR before!
