A must have for a taste of the brush. I’m an actual professional oil painter and lifelong female gamer…. This is well done for any suspense, horror, murder mystery fan… as well as those that want to know the eccentric side of the artists brush and mind. True beautiful tormented souls.
Even better than the original. Please release Layers of Fear 2 on the Meta Quest.
Very creepy. Just completed game,very enjoyable and full of jump scares…best played with volume turned pretty high. Bit buggy here and there but definitely worth pursuing with..chapter 5 seemed to be most buggy for me ..(but as said well worth price got it at sale price )🤪🤪🤪
Great creepy atmosphere. I played the original version years ago on console and enjoyed that experience. Whether you've played the original or not I'd highly recommend this game to anyone who enjoys a creepy somewhat intense atmosphere. Plenty of mind games and puzzles to solve in this psychological horror game. There's a lot of jump scares but that's not all there is. Even having played it before, playing it in VR had me feeling very anxious and unsettled. Great game.
Slow start but then gets scary. The description is exactly as advertised. You have to find clues. It's a slow start, but once you really start picking up those clues, rooms change, doors change, hidden doors are discovered, and the jump scares really start popping, even causing some screams in our household!! We love this game and have not regretted purchasing it. I was iffy on purchasing because of other reviews, but I personally think it's worth having if you like a good mystery with a scare.
Very boring indeed! Who the hell is writing all of the reviews full of praise? I’m a horror lightweight normally. I would, frankly, hide behind the sofa at the slightly louder elements of Tom & Jerry. But,this effort, even for the 40% off sale price, is not worth it. Never have I been so bored whilst playing a VR game.
My overall impressions of this game were, squinting at brown, and lots of it. Oh yes, and grey. Inadequate lighting springs to mind now also. Somebody mentioned sound effects in one of the reviews? Very clunky. (maybe an alarm clock now and again would have been a good thing?) Opening and closing lots of drawers and doors, picking up bottles. (we get the picture, guy was alcohol dependent) Crouching. Endlessly roaming around corridores with next to nothing happening. A ball rolled out of a bedroom at one point (Eek!). Did I mention brown? To cap it all off, motion sickness!
Serious question now: What is the point of this game? Is there a goal?
To the developers, I can only leave you with the advice, garnered from the scribblings on my note books, from my old R.E. teacher, “must try harder”.
Playing on my Quest 3 is uncomfortable. I launched the game on my Meta Quest 3, anticipating the horror since I had played the PC version. Even though I understood that this version would have weaker graphics, I didn't expect such bugs that made it unplayable. The worst bug is when I pause the game, it's impossible to return because you fall through the textures... I was also disappointed to see a purple glow in the window, apparently due to a missing texture, which ruins the atmosphere. It feels like the developers just released a mobile VR version... I love this game with all my heart, so I was really disappointed that it's so bad on VR.
Spooky. Only managed to get the first two peices of the painting before I had to stop for a breather. Even though I played the non-VR version, the ambiance and enclosed spaces really feel more intense in this version.
Game is great. The game had many jumpscares u wouldn’t recommend if very scared of things like that because that’s basically the game. Junpscares. If you take off your console for a bit, the screen becomes black and you have to redo the game. Not the entire game but the part that you just did. The jumpscares are very scary and the overall game is very creepy. I would definitely recommend this game!!
Not perfect but good. Overall I like this game. I let the negative reviews keep me from it for a while, but when it went on sale I decided to finally try it. If you enjoy haunted house walkthroughs but with more interaction (e.g. picking up clues, solving the occasional puzzle) i think you will enjoy this game. It does drag on for a bit but you keep encountering new situations and learn more about the story so that was fine with me. There are a couple glitches. A few times it was really difficult to open a door which was frustrating and twice i was somewhat stuck in the floor, but when i physically took a step or 2 the game resumed as normal. The decor seems like a copy paste job with encountering the same paintings and drawer contents room after room so i found that a bit disappointing. There are a lot of jump scares. Don’t forget to look up and behind you as things change a lot and you get to see some interesting things. The telephone part was probably my favorite part and the bathroom scene was cool.
I love the game. I’m a TikTok, YouTube and I love the game from my phone. Give me a room for an exciting if you if you’re looking for a fun time partner scary to a really recommend this game. But it’s a little bit busy as well. If you don’t have good Wi-Fi pretty good evening my hubby, OK Wi-Fi
I am stuck DONT BUY 😢. I am stuck i a room near the beginning of the game and I can’t get out !!!! I found the combination for the locked box but I wont let me put in the code .at first I thought it was me so I changed the batteries on my controllers and it still doesn’t work I regret buying this game I was so excited to play now I am giving up and am so disappointed also as I read the reviews as u get farther in the game there are more glitches to come I am so sad and wish I could get my money back ..

The model static lighting is broken. I'm an old player of Layers of Fear, and I find that the Layers of Fear on Quest is very exciting. However, when I started the game, I noticed that some of the models' UVs are strange and the static lighting seems broken. Therefore, I hope that INCUVO can fix these issues to enhance the gaming experience.
