This is the future. I always check the reviews before trying new apps. Saw a review where this guy couldn't understand why people didn't like it. That got me curious. I downloaded it and let me just spill the tea on this gem of an app. The hand tracking is insanely cool. There's a bunch of workout options with several intensity levels, they’re so varied and just the right kind of challenging. It has variety of environments to workout in.The music is great too, really gets me pumped.
This is the best fitness option in VR. As a former US Marine, I have worked out on some of the toughest obstacle courses and the hardest conditions imaginable. I was looking for something to add to my morning routine to wake up my body and keep me at a great fitness level.
I have spent the past month surveying all of the different fitness options in VR. I'd say that this and perhaps boxing give the strongest cardio - but boxing can be very unbalanced working certain muscles more than others, while this gives a good all around fitness routine.
The reason this one is superior to other fitness apps in VR is that it includes crunches, pushups, burpees, jumping, dips, running in place, and more... These set this app in a totally different category in my opinion. It seems like the developers of the other apps must be mentally soft because they are obviously afraid to have you move much while in VR - which movement is the entire point of fitness.
All that being said, a word to the devs:
I'm a developer myself, but not in VR - but I understand marketplaces. I checked out your guys' github, and see the progress you have made from where this project began and it is a tremendous amount of improvement. That being said, we are going to need to see some tremendous improvements to environments, the robot fitness instructors seem very lastgen compared to what your competitors have going on. There should also be far more variety in the types of strikes you deliver during the workout (hooks, uppercuts, hammerfists, etc.) I like the flying target that zooms to the left or the right in the hard mode by the way.
I say this with respect, but I think the app generally needs a totally new version where you level up the UI in every pretty much across the board. Not sure if you guys have hit a level in revenue that makes that viable yet but I'll be happy when I see it.
But you guys have sold me, I'm a subscriber - and it is a great deal.
I totally disagree with the bad reviews. I've been playing this game for like a week now and honestly it is working perfectly for me. I've tried other apps of the same idea and it wasn't as challenging as this one, passthrough is great. Multi workouts is extremelyy fun. Worth the subscription 💪💪
