can't adjust height. I just bought this game and have been looking for about 20-30 minutes now trying to figure out how to adjust the height. can't even do it by holding the home button on Oculus like you can on other games. you know chess is a sitting game right? going to have to get a refund developers unless you can tell me what I am missing here because I just don't see anywhere to adjust the height to sit down. when I sit down the board comes up to my eye level which is unplayable. I would have assumed that would be first on the list of things to do seeing how different people are different heights. seriously? If there's something I'm missing please let me know and I'll be happy to fix my review otherwise it stands as is and I'm looking for a refund You've got about 5 days to respond

Not 100% as depicted in the trailer. Just got this game so I could play with some of the CPU characters shown in the trailer. Nada, zilch, NOTHING shows up on the other side of the board in the Japan environment just the game pieces that move on their own. Gameplay is okay, so if you want basic chess, yes this offers that. Chess Club VR outshines this for better graphics and online play.
The new update will not let me choose anything. Unable to play.

LOVE IT! I just learned to play chess (only took 38 years) and now I’m addicted like none other. The 2 best parts of the game is that it’s very accurate hand tracking system and the puzzles.

Great game with a really addictive gameplay loop! Definitely still a work in progress but already so fun you should absolutely get in now and not miss out!
meh. If this was a free app on a mobile device, i’d give it 5 stars. But currently, for a vr game this fails in almost every way.
There is little to no variation and the multiplayer is horribly buggy. I cannot even pick up the pieces to move them. I can only point and drag my pieces.
With little to no immersion, I can only give this game 3 stars max.

Problem. Great game, but since last update arranging a private match is almost impossible. My friend's avatar appears but next to it where it should read 'invite' there is oriental writing. I can click on it and he does receive the invite, but after he accepts and I press to start the game his screen returns to the menu options.
This only occurred after the last update.
Additionally the A.I. needs fixing. I've managed to win on Grand Master setting because the computer has made a silly move. I am in no way capable of winning at these higher levels.
Please can the developer sort these issues as it's spoiling a super game
Hand tracking feature is awesome. I've been keeping an eye on the development of VR Chess for a few weeks and it is rapidly becoming a fantastic game after encountering some initial bugs that have now been fixed.
The new hand tracking feature feels very natural and is a great way to play. I'd like to see the gloves working in handtracking mode if possible.
Environments and board design are beautiful although I did notice that the draw distance seems a little shallow in some cases which makes some items in the background appear a bit blurry (the emblems on the cloth banners hanging in the castle room for instance). Perhaps the draw distance can be adjusted a little if it doesn't affect FPS too much?
The development team seem very open to suggestions and are quick to add features and fix bugs. For instance I suggested that it would be good to be able to move the board by way of a two thumbs up gesture and this was then added within just a few days. There was also an AI logic issue which was also fixed recently which made the game much more enjoyable.
A note that a one thumb up gesture can also move the board, however I think it would be best to stick with two thumbs up as hand tracking can occasionally get it wrong and think you are trying to move the board with one thumb when you were not intending to. "Two thumbs up" would be less likely to give unintended board movement.
It might be nice if the CPU players occasional give a little audio feedback, a few hmmm, ohhhh, arrrgggh, hahah here and there, but don't overdo it. Could sound tacky though if the voiceovers aren't good, so perhaps try and match the sounds well with the CPU character (deeper sounds for the knight, higher for the Asian girl etc).
I can't wait to give my young son and daughter a go of this, they are just starting to get into Chess and I think they will love it.
Keep up the good work devs and I'm sure this game will make it to the main store soon.
