Very good game already. The game in its current state in the App Lab already offers a lot of Options. The physics are quiet well and the hitting Model feels natural and challenging enough for me, giving me a similar feeling as in real life (without the ball weight impact of course)
The customizable ball machine, called Drilling Lab is the most advanced i have seen so far in a vr Tennis game. Together with a Helloreal Adapter its great fun to play and practice.
The developer is responsive on discord and reacts very fast to suggestions made (if they make sense).
I only play this game in passthrough mode, running free when doing predefined game Drills (which have a leaderboard to compare with others) or practicing my own created Drills with the ball machine.
Autorun and playing full court online with autorun is not (yet) as advanced as other vr Tennis games, but i am confident that the developer will make progress there as well
So, in summary, i already give 5 Stars, as the game in its current state is already offering the Best experience for me in the areas i am focussing on, realistic physics and Training Options. The physics, or better hitting Model can be customized by 2 factors, close to the feeling you might be used to in reality. At least for that working very good.
The devoloper allows to Start playing the game in a free Mode, where not all feauteres are available, its worth and without a risk to take a look for everyone who is interested in vr sports or Tennis especially.
And i am pretty confident there is (much) more to come... 5 Stars already 👍
Best VR Tennis Simulation Experience. I’ve tried every single VR tennis game, this is by far the best one if you want a near close to real life tennis simulation. It’s almost close to perfect in that regard, and unlike the others which will give you bad muscle memory habits, this can give you great practice. I’m giving it 5 stars because it’s amazing in that regard, but it’s not perfect and there are things I wish it had, which who knows, it’s still in development and one day might, but even if it never does, I’ll be happy practicing.
One thing I wish it had which I think may be possible some day, is add the great haptic feedback another game has which you can really feel even through the handle adapter and it almost feels like there’s weight when you’re hitting the ball and it adds to the realism. I’m not sure if it’s just increasing the vibration, maybe it could have a setting so you can set how much you want depending on your real racquet, similar to bounce. The sound may also be playing a part in that experience.
Another thing is, I wish you could play against an opponent that looks like a person instead of just a machine chucking the ball back so you can also practice reading their shots. One game has a “Mirror mode” that let’s you practice against yourself and it’s fun and lets you see how your shot placement looks and can affect an opponent and the only reason I ever boot it up.
The other thing which it may never have as it may not be the purpose of the game is a career mode that let’s you go to different tournaments and venues and you can increase your rank based on where you place as you get points throughout your career. I can’t tell you how different it feels to practice when you’re really under pressure trying to win a tournament, they’re up 30-40 and your turn to serve. It gives you mental practice and also the various stages of a tennis match. If it had those things, it would be beyond perfect, but as I said, even without it, this is the go to game for anyone that loves tennis.
Great training for real life tennis. I've been playing real tennis almost every day this year, but now that winter has come I need to turn to VR. I've tried several other apps and this one seems to be the best for people interested in training and improving their real tennis skills, as opposed to playing and having fun arcade style.
Wishlist - change the default racket bounce to something that behaves like an average racket. With the current default the amount of power generated is absurdly high, making it impossible to rally from the service line. I almost dismissed the app as completely useless until I realized this is a setting I can change. After setting it way down to 0.4, I started getting a similar feel to real life, but now I'm not sure if I didn't overdo it and I would need to go to a real court and hit a few balls to calibrate my feel. - whenever a drill has a setting for forehand, backhand, etc. etc. and random, add an extra option to choose randomly but only between forehand and backhand. All those other options that involve artificial movement feel terrible to me and I want to avoid them. This should be very easy to implement and would make the app a lot more useful for me.
Thank you for the great work and please keep it up!

Most realistic tennis but couple glitche. I’ve tried many VR tennis games but this one is the most realistic, simple to use, and very configurable down to the grip and wind speed etc. I love the portal so I can see my surroundings while playing (and avoid hitting my dog)! And in pass-through mode you get to run the full court while playing (just be careful you have enough room).
My wife and I enjoy playing multiplayer but once in a while we get stuck with no ball and have to exit/restart the game. Ocasionally we’ll play sitting down which was next to impossible with other tennis games.
The developer is very responsive on Discord and has helped me out a few times. This game is definitely worth a 5 star review. And it’s free to try although you’ll need to buy it to initiate a multiplayer game (the free version can join but not initiate a multiplayer game). Still, the $15 cost is most reasonable compared to others that cost $25.
I highly recommend it to anyone - pros or just for fun! It is much better than First Person Tennis.
Lots of potential. Pretty decent game so far but I find it very irritating that in rally practice mode the ball bot keeps missing my shots (especially hard shots) and then it resets (ie. there's a pause while it does some pointless applause before it gets going again). Therefore there is no rally, just one or two shots. Please make it so the ball bot always returns my shots or if it misses my shots it fires a new ball out straight away to continue the rally.
Some other improvements would be a button to auto toss the ball for serving because I play with one controller due to having a double handed backhand I have to throw and hit the ball with the same controller which make for a unnatural serve motion. I would also love some sort of replay function to check my strokes. As a real tennis player I want to see that my strokes are correct and that I'm always looking at the ball at contact. Finally, I like there's some audio feedback when you hit the ball hard, as far as I can tell there is no audio feedback when you frame the ball so that would be good to add.
Generally a decent game and I much preferred this to the other tennis games available but it just needs some minor improvements/additions to make it perfect. I hope it continues development and has a successful release.
Great experience but a long way to go. The talents of the coders and designers are immediately apparent at first glance of the free edition. The user interface and design are simple, clean, and functional. The free edition has a lot to offer, and I was still hooked after 2 hours. I was also challenged to play online, but I did not feel ready, so I rejected. I use my own paddle, the ball is really jumpy, but I can change settings of the ball´s rebound and string grip. This flexibility has immense potential which has yet to be achieved. I practised drills with various grips, ranging from continental to semi-western, and was pleasantly delighted how well it transferred real timing and sensation. However, e-sports drills feel better. Playing a game is a different story. It is really difficult, even more so than real life. It offers a complete autorun option as well as a joystick option for movement. I can run without using the joystick with a portal passthrough mode. This is a box carved out of VR that allows me to stay aware of my surroundings and run freely. It still needs a lot of refining. Lines and balls become invisible left & right outside the box. As the portal does not move, when I run forward, I exit mixed reality and enter full VR, where I can no longer see my surroundings. Then the court constantly repositions itself with each serve, making free running extremely risky. Setting the game to random speed or spin seems to render it inaccessible. Challenging the bot while keeping settings low is more fun than esport. But still far from the intuitive game play of FPT, where a RL novice tennis player quickly feels like a world class tennis star. I have a YT channel on VR Tennis, and the game is good enough to be presented soon. As it is, the free version is already worth the 15€, support this game, even if it has a long way to go. I bought it, configured a random left to right real run drill, that got me nicely sweating in a full passthrough view, with full VR surface in my living room. Amazing!
Just one issue.. Great game, good interface, engaging. I play in a small room and can't physically move around the court. The option in the game that transfers me automatically to the location of the ball is dizzying. I had to immediately stop the game during one such motion.
Response to the developer: It was when I was practicing against the wall. The practice & match sessions with the bot have been a lot better & I am getting used to it. When playing against the wall, the ball returns a lot quicker than while playing a game. The dizziness kicked in when I was moved from one corner of the screen to the diagonally opposite corner very quickly.
True to life! I regularly play tennis with retired pros, college players, and club monsters. I'm subscribed to The Tennis Channel, TennisTV, and I attend pro tournaments to spectate when I can get a chance. Needless to say, I love tennis. And If you love tennis like me you will love Court Time Tennis. It features the most true to life physics I've ever seen in a tennis game and has a ton of settings you can mess with if you want to simulate different scenarios. The shot assist mode was so good at interpreting my ground strokes that it took me a few minutes to even realize I was being assisted, and the unassisted mode feels more realistic than I previously thought was possible for this generation of VR. Directional ball spin actually matters as well as velocity. The developer is constantly updating and open to feedback so I am very excited to see this game grow. At the moment the game is geared toward singles play drills but there is an excellent multiplayer mode, wall hitting mode, and a moving ball machine bot that simulates competition. I'm sure there will be more in the future so I'm not really too concerned. Considering the game is only in beta at the time of my writing this, Court Time Tennis is a 10/10 for me.

So, in summary, i already give 5 Stars, as the game in its current state is already offering all Important Features you would expect from a vr Tennis game (AI Match, called bot Match, online matches and very advanced customizable ball machine).

Straightforward, Simple fun. Open court is just plain fun. There's a lot you have control over, the different spin you can put on the ball. It's also a very generous free version with all kinds of drills and rallies you compete with others in. The physics are top tier. In the manner of walkabout, eleven, and crazy kung Fu.
