Cute. Cute game. My only complaint is some of the puzzles could have used more in-game hints in the journal, and from the narrator. The last puzzle for instance with the constellation was almost impossible because I couldn’t look up well with my headset. Some of the other puzzles were just hard to figure out what we were supposed to do. The fish head thing where the hand print was in the mouth wasn’t obvious, I looked at it a bunch and never noticed the hand print because it was dark in the mouth. Just stuff like that. I think if the player doesn’t progress in a certain amount of time to find the puzzle, it should trigger a voiced hint in the game. I hated looking at the hints but it was necessary in those instances
Really great adventure game. Reminds me of playing the old Lucas Arts point and click adventure games from the DOS days, but in 3D. Works perfectly. The graphics are nice, the sound and music well done. The story is interesting and keeps you wanting to learn more. Great locations and puzzles. Great sense of accomplishment when solving the puzzles. You really need to at least try this game, even if puzzle games aren’t you thing, it’s a good experience in VR. I hope to see more of these from the devs. I’d forgotten how much I enjoyed these type of games, like playing a movie. Would love to see more of these on the store.

Vs Room VR. I only like the puzzling games. The Room VR is my favorite but this is a great one too. This one is more about collecting clues and solving big, room size puzzles. Graphics are not as fancy as Room VR.

Good atmospherics, fascinating story. I like the game. Good story, good puzzles, decent mechanics though it takes a bit to get the hang of it. Graphics are dated but it doesn't bother me. They're good for 5-6 years ago and that's good enough for me to become immersed. It's the story and the puzzles that I go for.
BUT
I am stuck at the end of Chapter 4. I solved the drum puzzle and I am standing bare handed in front of the hand-altar. I perform the dot interaction and then put my right hand on the altar and nothing happens. I checked a walkthrough and I don't think I've missed anything. I think this is a bug. I think that because at one point my right hand disappeared after I had solved the drum puzzle (but appears in all other games) and I had to restart the game to get it back. Is there a patch or a workaround for this? A cheat code even? Thanks Developers for your help.
Awesome! Great story and interesting puzzles. Some were a bit unintuitive and based on trial and error method instead of collecting enough hints to solve them, but it just caused at worst few minutes of confusion. I had a lot of fun, amazing, complete adventure with engaging story.
Amazing game, but... It took some time to me to complete the game. On 2 puzzles I almost used the hint because it was impossible for me to solve, but... I didn't use the hints and I found all solutions without hints by myself. Guys... These moments when you have solved such a difficult puzzle, when you were ready to give up but you found the way - it worths so much, so hard feelings and so much enjoy... 😁 Excellent.
One more thing... The game has 2 different endings, so my advice to you - save manually the game at chapter 6 from time to time, so you will se both endings. I didn't know that and my last manual save was on Chapter 3 😣 So I lost some extra time to go through the game just to see an alternative end.
To developers: you actually could turn autosave off after player's last choice, there is no need in that autosave. :-)

If you like games like Myst, then Call of the Sea VR is a game that you don’t want to miss. Only graphics could be better for Quest 3 - resolution and higher textures.
Fun adventure, Cool Story. Love the storyline on this one. The narrator is also refreshing. This reminds me of the adventure games on tablets before VR was accessible. The puzzles aren’t too easy but not too hard either. The game world is beautiful and immersive. It’s nice to have a game geared toward women. I’ll probably play this one again in another year. SPOILER ALERT: the end let’s you choose your ending. 😎

Enjoyable game! Just finished the game and was happy I played it. It's a good game to relax and take your time in, reading all the notes, and listening to all the narrative parts to the end. I never looked at one of the in game hints, but did look at an ign.com guide one time to get out of a place where I was stuck. That was far better than watching a video. There are a couple of places I wish I had saved game spots: one at the end where you need to make your choice (so that you can see the other ending, too), and one at an underwater part where she says "The current is really strong here", since the next part is very fun and would be neat to repeat a couple of times. I loved the length of the game, and felt it made an excellent VR port. Also, watch the credits at the end all the way through, since there is a little more after they're done (as well as a cute baby picture). Plus, the song they sing at the end (Dear Old Pal of Mine from 1918) is lovely. You can find an old recording of it online if you search. Anyway, it was an engaging story, which I greatly enjoyed.
Yes, yes and yes. Absolutely loved this. I was initially worried that it would be another short one, having been burned by A fisherman's tale, but this was wonderful. Everything I want from a story-driven adventure. Good, environment-based puzzles with just the right level of difficulty, hunting for clues, stellar voice acting and a really charming and moving story at its centre. I hope the developer will bring us something just as amazing in the future. These are the kind of games VR is MADE for in my opinion. It's a reasonable length and leaves you feeling very satisfied in the end. I like that the two endings are easily viewable so you can experience both and decide which one you prefer. Too often, developers make this too difficult and it just leaves me with decision anxiety. When a story is this good, I'd usually prefer just one ending. I've played a lot of great games this year - This now easily sits alongside Red Matter as one of the best

LOVE LOVE this game! So, I'm almost to the end of this game an I wasn't sure if I should purchase due to some complaints, BUT as soon as someone said it was up there with RED Matter I & II, I had to try it. I absolutely love the whole thing! Except one thing but I'll get to that. The island, the caves, the underwater, all very well done and beautiful! Story was a little weird but at the end parts, I can see why there is black ooze. I will play this many times. I love that I can just walk around an there is no hurry. I hope there will be more in the future! Only complaint is, I play games in sitting mode but for this game, there were many times where I was too tall to reach things. It became very annoying when I had to put my hand on the dream platforms or to go through passages. My hand would be very far away when it should just be right there, reachable. I hope you can fix that. Again, I really enjoy this game and good job!!!
Truly wonderful experience. Just finished this game and thoughrely enjoyed the experience, the puzzles were both challenging, intelligent and intuitive. The over arching story an absolute joy which brought me to tears on more than one occasion, This is a game I won't ever forget, it touched me very deeply.
Well done but lacking something. The narrative is slow to start and repetitive but gets very interesting later on. Old school point and click style game updated as a modern vr game works here though it doesn't fully take advantage of vr immersivness. No other characters to interact with and protag isn't that compelling. Story gets very interesting and puzzles and environments get well done. Though the ending was unruly and unsatisfying. Choose a or b either doesn't really build in the story. Would still recommend.

Graphics wise a joke. I have just bought Red Matter 2, Into the Radius and Call of the Sea for the Quest 3. Trying out this game after Red Matter 2 was a big mistake! Ok, RM 2 (2022) is a fresher one, but call of the sea (2021) is released 3 years after RM 1 (2018) but looks like as it was released 3 years before! Just wanted to start a refund process but found an uploadvr article, and maybe the game will have a Quest 3 enhancement. So waiting till next weekend with the refund and if the enhancement is released I'll update my review. But for Quest 2 owners - still a big no!
