rench: Engine Building Demo is a free demo for Rift users. Players will work through assembling an inline four cylinder engine. This demo is a small slice of Wrench, a much larger game coming to early access soon. Find Wrench on the oculus store here: www.wrenchgame.com/oculus
Wrench encourages players to explore and solve problems on their own. This demo provides high level guidance but will not narrate a bolt by bolt install procedure. Instead, players read through help embedded in each part and work through the assembly process in their own way.

A new way of home learning! This isn't so much a game, more of an educational tool. To the developers, you are onto something here, genuine skills can be learnt from this style of software. As a motorsport mechanic I am blown away by the quality of this demo. Absolutely fantastic and I am only too willing to pay for what ever evolves from this. Please keep at it and target the training/education market as well, this is truley something.

Car Mechanic Simulator REAL edition. This demo made me buy the EA version on Steam in an instant: https://store.steampowered.com/app/936720/Wrench/?curator_clanid=4777282&utm_source=SteamDBThe Devs (a 2 man crew) are constantly updating what, to me, seems to become the Mechanic Sim VR users long for!Excelent visuals and very detailed. I recommend this demo but recommend the (fuller) on Steam more. For those of you who dislike Steam for whatever reason I can only hope the Devs will bring it to Oculus Store as well.

Real mechanic. This game is pretty realistic and oddly enjoyable. As an actual car mechanic I can say this is really well done.

Unfortunately crashing. Can only rate it 2 stars right now as I am getting crashes after 5-10mins of gameplay. Haven't even gotten to start putting the engine together :(

Torque specks. I anjoyed this a lot. It would get 5 stars except for the torque seems to be buggy. I made sure to torque every bolt to the specks. However at startup, it would not start and told mebissuebwas one bolt was miss torqued. I also made sure to set timing as it said to set it and it told me that was off as well. I am waiting for the full game in Hope's that those issues are corrected and more then one engine to work on.
Great demo for building an engine. Played with Oculus Quest 2, game installed on my laptop and using the link cable with the desktop mirrored and have no problems.
The demo is great. As in real life, if you don´t follow the instructions, you will end up with the engine assembled and a can of bolts and nuts that you have no idea where they go and where they came from. Since it is a demo some things are missing, like a propper gide to tell you where the parts go and the right torque to apply to the bolts. Also It will be nice to have a feature that damage the engine if you don´t thight the bolts to the engine bolck in the right sequence.
Amazing detail. 2 tutorials; putting together a suspension arm, and building an engine. The tutorials in the demo give you enough information to build a 4 cylinder engine, but leaves room for you to learn how to build it yourself. The detail is outstanding giving the player a realistic but also game-like representation of how to build cars. Highly recommend trying the demo version before buying the actual game because some people might find it annoying to have to place every small piece and every bolt. If you're interested in learning the parts of cars like me however, this game is for you.
close to perfect. there are 3 things this game lacks, the first is a easy to find detailed step by stpe guide on assembeling parts, the step by step guide was basically the narator which would have been nice to have some text on. Second thing that would have been nice would have been to see if you placed everything correctly, and third would be to have had a list on things you assembled wrong ex the pressure added to each bolt, mising bolts and or parts. but overall a great relaxing and educational experience. 100% recommend playing this if you are slightly interested in motors/cars.
dissapointing. very dissapointing as we all know an engine will start with torques slightly out, very annoying as when you try to start the engine it gives a list of torques about 1% out of setting, very un-realistic
Failure to Launch. I get two minutes into the demo and the narrator says, "When you are done, hit next to continue." There is no "Next." And nothing I hit does anything. Can't go home, can't go back, and there's no menu, so I'm forced to quit and start over. Second time, same as the first. I'd like to give this a try, but it won't let me.
it wont show on my quest 2. i want to play the demo and see what it like but it wont show up on my quest 2 and i cant find anything to see if poeple have the same problem so plz help
Great but one problem. I love this game its so fun but then i cant leave the game without having to restart all over again. I really wish there was a way to save other wise its an amazing game overall.
Engine rebuild demo. I thought the program ran well. It was detailed in the components and seemed very accurate. Overall a good experiance and an opportunity to work on something I might not have done otherwise.
Good but has a flaw. the game itself is really good but, when i'm left with only 2 to 3 parts i'm often left there flailing a part around the engine because i don't know where it's supposed to go. i will appreciate if the devs add a button on the menu to highlight where a specific part attaches.
Awesome Game. Just like some of the other people, played through the demo and really liked it. Its an awesome great looking game that gets updated frequently with additional features and the roadmap on where the game is going looks promising.
