Awesome. 20+ games and first revue because this deserves some accolades. Excellant easy menu to navigate with no mandatory graphics to sit through, your fighting aliens within seconds of sitting down. I find the oculus touch controls really good although some finnese is required when manouvering the heli in confined places. A challenging & constantly variable game with different weather & enemy scenarios every combat. This is way past early access, if you like fps and controlling fighters or heli's saving the world from the invasion then you'll love this game, its made my VR worth it.

Good job so far. I am quite impressed with this app however I seem to be having difficulty getting the touch controller to work.Thank you it works grate now. I love the hand motion with the touch controllers however it would be nice to be able to disable it and use the joysticks when walking around with your pilot. As well I would like to add I hope to see some more ability to interact in the cockpit when using the touch controllers. Thanks agin and grate job.While we are on the subject I have a few ideas I hope you will consider. First this game has a multiplayer feel and it is nice; even thou it still needs a lot of work. With that said I believe there should be a campaign with a storyline, multiplayer mode with the ability choose different types of missions and maps, and free-play mode for those who just want to fly around. Second it would be nice to not start the missions in the air rather to start with your pilot for takeoff after a mission briefing.

Cool Game, Needs Some Maturity. The game itself is pretty cool, I'm new to VR and am not a pilot so getting to fly the different crafts is fun. However, I don't have a flightstick and the oculus controls are awkward. Firstly the OR controls aren't setup so you have to figure out how to open the menu and change some mappings. For some reason I cannot map the thumbsticks to anything which makes it harder to fly the aircraft. If the control mapping and integration was better it would get a higher rating from me. I have experienced some nausea in this game but I'm guessing I would experience the same flying in a real jet so not sure if this is a plus for realism or a minus because I can only play for short periods. I could go without experiencing a full flat spin to a crash, I think acknowledging the player is in an unrecoverable incident and resetting the game might be a good idea. --keep up the good work!

Awesome underated game! This game is great! Makes me feel like I'm in the movie Independence Day for sure. It defiently needs way more content and some some bugs fixed, but overall it's worth the price in my opinion. Especially for anyone that like flying without all the extra sim knowledged needed.Would recommend for sure!

Seems a great game! This game seems really good, I’ve enjoyed flying the aircraft, however I seem to be stuck on the tutorial levels, it says “stay airborne for 1 minute” but it doesn’t complete the mission & Im stuck in the level, not sure if I’m doing something wrong also I can’t seem to find how to enter the menu & change any settings. Any help would be much appreciated as I’d really like to get to the alien levels! (I’m using Xbox controller)#update - all sorted now thanks to the developer for such a fast reply! This game is great fun & worth the money, hopefully it will get even better! It would be good if it loaded to the menu screen where you can choose a mission rather than waiting for it to load to the tutorial level. More vehicles & alien ships would also be good, keep up the great work!
Tantalisingly Close. There's the bones of a pretty good game here, but it lacks the refinements it deserves. The game is controlable (barely) with touch controllers , but you invariably end up with your flight-stick hand held out at weird uncomfortable angles, as there seems to be no correlation between leveling out and returning your hand to it's start postion. The mapping for a controller / HOTAS is awful, I was reduced to having to chug my way through every input setting for every axis (with a lot of tedieous crashing in the process) to finally wrangle a Saitek X52 into playing nice with this thing, despite it purpotedly being able to auto detect that model. Once I got my settings saved, things improved imeasuarbly (other than the random occasions when I launch the game and it flatly refuses to beleive there's an X52 attached to it, despite other games like Elite Dangerous having no issue seeing it immediately after). Once you get up in the air and able to control your craft, things start getting good here, there's a compelling premise, and the graphics (albeit nothing to write home about) are good enough. Unfortunately the mission designs are lacking. Objectives are sometimes obscure, and there are some truely baffling design descisions. i.e. You start on foot on a carrier deck with two aircraft and 1 boat) to chose from (1 fighter jet, 1 attack helicipter). Get shot down, or crash and you're back on the deck to take off in your second choice. Lose this one and you're pointlessly dumped back on the deck, with no more aircraft to fly. There are random pickups in game where you can pick up another plane, but fail to get one & you're left stood on the deck like a lemon with your thumb up your proverbial, with literally nothing to do. No mission failed sequence, until the aliens eventually destroy the carrier, no cooldown period for new planes spawning, just chirping crickets and tumbleweed. Three stars because when it's good, it's genuinely good, but when it's bad it's aweful.
Awesome. So this game is simple with only a few levels and somewhat similar scenarios but it's fun for what it is and for $20 not bad in my book. My only complaint is that I've gotten stuck using the ship and unable to go anywhere due to engine failure and since you can't just jump out of the boat and swim back or spawn back at the ship i had to just restart. Having to re arm anmo, fuel and repairs is cool for a touch of realism and each plane handles differently which is also cool. Not to mention the damage to your vehicles is realistic as if you take certain damage you can't accelerate more or use your weapons which is neat.. Got a bit of sea sickness after losing engine power in the boat and only being able to spin in circles. Happened once flying the chopper as well, lost all control and could oy spin around in circles until I crashed.
*SIGH*. My previous review was five stars... But... I've only been running into more and more issues. The joystick and throttle support on this game hardly works. Ill map the buttons and then anywhere from 30 seconds after take-off too a few minutes my stick goes dead (this does happen in any other game.) And while shooting (regardless of the input) its like the game is having trouble regestering the button press and shoots as though the gun is having a seizure. This game has amazing potential but I'd really hope to see a fix for the joystick support. Another issues is when mapping buttons the select button gets mapped if i dont push another button fast enough. It would be advisable to have it so that if nothing is pressed (AFTER SELECTION) nothing is mapped/or have it just wait until the player presses the button on there own. I've had to uninstal the game a few times because the seizure trigger was rapid fire selecting things and mapping the menu and select buttons to the the same trigger. Then theres the boats. Enemies can hit you fine when youre moving. when they do enough damage you cant move the boat anymore, but enemies magically dont shoot you anymore so you usually end up having to restart the match. It would be nice to have a bailout feature added. This game has so much potential but until i can run it with a joystick I'm afraid my rating will stay at 2 stars instead of 5.
A lot of fun, just hidden under jank. Firstly I played this using Touch controlers on a Rift S and yes the game is a confusing mess to controll and opperate but once you get past that there is certanly fun to behad straffing huge alien ships in a very arcade like experiance but it's burried under a lot of janky interface controll and poorly described game mechanics but once you get past that it really is a blast.

If you want a flying combat game in VR, then look no further!. I have managed to run my Pro flight rudder pedals and my Saitek X52 UNDER AUTO DETECT. However I could not get this to work via steam. It worls via the oculus store though.
Love some updates featuring hellfire or an AH-64D OR E Apache. Happy to pay for it. Loving the Alien stuff. However i'd be happy with something like Desert Storm, where you have to fly in and take out the radar sites, tanks, etc. Level 1 of the classic Desert Strike would be a great start.
If people are having problems with the controls. The issues are the that the motion needs turning off as that is what affects the controls causing them to be sluggish/conflict with the thumb sticks.
Amazing! I find this game desperately needs multiplayer or even co-op but considering the fact that ONE HUMAN BEING made this i am dumb founded... its beautiful runs like a hot knife through butter and challenging as well. My only issue is the boats seem a bit undefeatable as I keep getting caught dead in the water with no way to bail out. But anyone who reads this should disregard older reviews there has been a bunch of uploads and the dev has taken care of nearly every issue people used to have with the game!
OK as an arcade. Bad Setting Up Joystick. Weirdest method of Joystick Setup ever! Also the 2 Fire Buttons work one way around but not the other - weird! Like the Graphics although the smoke is full on and have no clue to my safety. The Missions are in a bizzare order and could be natually transferred to progress rather than by the Menu. e.g. Why REFUEL is just 1 Mission dud?! The BOAT Controls soon get messed up and end up turning - is that damage? No idea and can not exit to get another role. Must always switch roles on Carrier - I hate that as BOAT is messed up! Needs more plane types and use of AIRBRAKE, FLAPS, GEAR with some visibility in clouds at least and a better idea of where to go. Some better feeling of flight like turbulance and much more speed stretched over distance like DCS. Make the Training less dumb!
Doesn't run out of the box. I'm an avid flight sim gamer and loves what this game has to offer for VR players out there. However, this game fails to deliver some of the most basic necessities, like mapping PITCH CONTROL. I could not find for the life of me how to control pitch with the default controls: neither of the analog sticks responded, neither touch control movement did anything. Furthermore, it was a royal pain to get my Logitech 3D extreme flight stick to work with the game. You have to tell the game to use a specific joystick for EACH AXIS. I mean, why? Can't I just choose 1 joystick and have the game recognize X, Y and rudder axis all for it? After getting over that debacle, the game ran fine.
The training offers text instructions, which are centered on your headset. If they are intersected by the HUD readings, it's easy to miss those instructions, and there's no reading what's missed once you missed it.
After getting my controls straightened away, the game isn't so bad, or so I thought. The game plays more like an arcadey flying game than a sim. Yeah, you can stall, you can bleed speed from dialling heavy pitch, you can't manually engage flaps, landing gears or air brakes, and you can also re-arm and refuel via powerups scattered throughout the map. The objectives aren't clearly marked on your radar, making it hard to accomplish what you need to do. When you crash, you go back to here you started and try to find another vehicle, whether it be a jet fighter, helicopter, or attack boat.
TLDR: Game isn't playable out of the box. Adjusting controls is a nightmare if you are using a joystick. Please enable setting scrolling via analog stick. I was forced to use right trigger and hold the side scrolling bar to scroll up/down.
