Distant Nightmare will immerse you in a dark and mysterious world thanks to VR. The game puts you in the shoes, and on the bike, of a child in a nightmare. Your objective is to cycle through the unexplored environments of your mind in hopes to survive the night and wake up the next day.
As you cycle through this VR world you will explore new environments, new creatures and challenges, as well as unlock a variety of bikes worthy of elusive nightmares and cycling demons. And if you want to push yourself even more and test your focus while you slumber and cycle, try the time trial mode where collecting time is the only way to survive. That’s if surviving the nightmare is even an option...
So how far will you get, and what bikes (maybe not just bikes…) will you unlock to guide you through your gloomy dream. Will you hide in a corner and cry while you wait for the sand man, or will you get on your bike and ride through hell. The choice is yours.
Horror endless runner. So VR has lots of wave shooters. And it also has lots of endless runners. Most endless runners are absolutely not fun to play at all. However, this game is pretty fun. It honestly has some of the better graphics for an endless runner (upper echelon for endless runner, but below average for most VR title types). The gameplay is simple. Tilt your head left or right to avoid hitting obstacles or to pickup items. You can upgrade your bike based on how far you travel. The better your bike, the easier it is to get farther. The farther you get, the more difficult the game gets. It says story mode but I'm not seeing any story. I only paid .99 cents and I had fun. This is good for cheap Halloween scares. Harmless enough that you can even let kids or grandma play it ... as long as they don't look behind them.
Basic But Fun. It's essentially a randomised autorunner very much like Into The Dead although a lot darker and without the weapons. Spooky though undetailed visuals and a fun concept
Nice game. I have enjoyed the game and it has been fun once I figured out what I needed to do. It's not complicated, but at this price it is well worth downloading and playing.
