The Community I Loved Is Dying. I’ve been playing Gorilla Tag since before the City update, and it’s sad to say, this game has gone from something fresh and fun to something I can barely stand. When it first launched, bugs were fixed quickly, the community wasn’t toxic, and it felt like the devs actually cared. Now? The game is drowning in problems.Glitches and bugs stay in the game weeks or even months upon end, updates break more things than they fix, and every lobby is filled with slurs, toxic players, and modders cheating or crashing games. The mute/report systems don’t work half the time, and the same people get away with saying the worst things over and over. Honestly, this game should not be marketed toward kids when the environment is this toxic and unsafe. (I would NOT let my own kids play it)My breaking point came when a moderator joined my lobby and accused me of cheating claiming I was using “world scale” on Steam VR just because I was playing at a high level or I was taller than him. I don’t mod, I don’t cheat, and I’ve built my skill over years and have became really really good. But now, because of one false accusation, my account is probably flagged. That means my reputation is ruined, and I’ll constantly be watched, making it way easier for me to be banned again for something I didn’t even do. One moderator’s assumption shouldn’t have the power to wreck a player’s entire experience, but here we are.What makes this worse is that I still play. Over the years I’ve met an amazing community of players and made friends I still play with to this day. That’s the only reason I haven’t walked away. And that’s the most disappointing part there’s a great game and a great community buried under all of this, but it feels like the devs and moderation team are letting it rot.Gorilla Tag had so much potential, but what we’re left with now is a buggy, toxic mess held together by weak moderation. my honest review. I started gorilla tag in about 2021 i was 10 it was a christmas update back with my old rift S my first vr headset no mods no toxic people just fun, and peace but year after year modders came toxic people came its just isnt the same gorilla tag was one of the best life experiences i met my best irl friend there, someone i loved also, its a life changing experience , i grew up with gorilla tag and it was the best phase of my life, thank you another axiom for this.
Was Okay Until Unban. Every time i played i would sometimes see lag strikes (Mainly my device with link) and crashes, but then because I'm a stupid idiot, I modded and was banned for 8 weeks, when i was unbanned, i was able to play on it but I couldn't install things like a camera mod for the game, so i uninstalled. After i tried to reinstall, It would not work. Somebody help me with this problem because this started in March (Month I was unbanned) and still wont install no matter how many times I try.Edit - I have fixed it by removing the anotheraxiom folder so if you get this problem, try going into the file you download gtag in but if it is inside of anotheraxium go to the one before and remove another axiom
Gorilla tag. I have been playing this game for about 3 years now, having started in early 2022. Very early on the game was very fun, and i loved it so much. but now, the game definetly has changed. the style of the game, the updates, and the community are so much diffrent now. the game is still fun, but it is not the same. I think if you just gotten a headset and you have no games to play, then sure, download this game. If you are not to vr, then don't pickup the game.
did not work in pcvr (EDITED). If it wont work on pcvr, i figured out how to fix it. I had to update my game. So if it just stops loading when you try to enter it on pcvr, go on your pc, go to quest link, click library, click the three dots next to gorilla tag, then it should say update. Then click update. That is how i fixed it. I reccommend the link cable, it would update it quicker. Then i got the grate mod menu.
Somthing happened,. so when i try to go through the forest thing in stump, i wont join a public lobby with players, all it does is just send me to a random 4 letter code with no players, anyone know how to fix this?
