great workout and fun. i play it every day, gets me sweating and my heart pumping. it's so much fun, wish it was online. i rarely ever have problems others are saying with losing a glove or hits not registering, sounds like a skill issue. honestly the most fun and if you wanna get in better shape, this is the game. you can set round lengths, number of rounds, pick bots each with unique fight styles, make them weaker, stronger, etc.
Good boxing game. It's a good workout. The punching feels nice, the blocking and ducking work well, and your physical abilty reflects in game. The only cons are the training bags don't work well since it is VR.
This is by far the best workout. This is by far the best workout i've ever done in VR. Nothing even comes close. If you're even slightly out of shape, you'll be drowning in your own sweat in a couple of minutes. Also punching people is has become a little too fun for me after playing this regularly. It doesn't have artificial stamina and wierd locomotion, it actually uses your playspace as the ring, like it should be (talking to you Creed devs). The new Oculus update kind of broke the boundary system on the quest version, but that's on Meta. That's where you should let out your frustrations. Every one of their updates brakes something. For me the SteamVR version runs noticeably better and tracks better than the Oculus version... On the Oculus Rift CV1 headsett. How does that even make sense? Also, any news about TOTF 2 or multiplayer?

Terrible. All good until the final fight where I can’t punch faster than a turtle or else my glove will go to another country, and 30 consecutive punches that apparently do 3,500 damage so absolutely nothing. Then he hits me in my balls where I can’t even block once, and I instantly get knocked out for 9 seconds. Please fix your game and learn that 30 punches straight to someone’s temple will knock them out. Maybe if your fattys got off the couch you would know that

Excellent game. Very funny, I sweated a lot such a pity there is no multiplayer therefore 4 stars
Problem after problem. look its a fun game if you're only using your jab hand, any power shot will result in your hand being stuck behind some random object, such as the speed bag, any moving object, the punching dummy too. Mind you the punching dummy literally does not move. If you have any knowledge of boxing do not waste your money on a game where if you have slightly have any power in your right hand, it just gets stuck behind everything waste of money good try though.
Let users know there is auto adjust. Everybody can admit this game is the most immersive, good, and active game of the VR games.
However, as I'm not a boxer, and I am less active person, I struggled to beat the opponent at the first time, hook and jab as fast as I can, and the machine judged me as some normal and active guy. So it lowers the mass multiplier down to 1.1x (when the first round, I saw below 1.05x surely)
As a result, I'm stucked at second opponent; Zoe at normal difficulty. I searched through the internet, and I realized that there is auto adjust which change the mutliplier when user punches hardest at comfort level. I re-adjust with sparring partner as dev suggested, machine shows me the 1.4x and 1.6x each and I can beat the second one with TKO at last round.
Please, PLEASE let users know that there is auto adjust in-game and it has own standards such as tutoiral messages clearly. Some users who don't know that boxing is not just struggling, would throw the punches like a school fight like me.
OR revisit your adjust system. Something like, getting mean of the punches, mode of them, or getting 15% of highest forces etc. It seems like 'hardest' punch keeps users throw even faster and faster without knowing the system, and it pushes the users beyond the limit and makes them get injury.
USED TO BE GOOD. It was good at first, but now it is unplayable. the game will make you stand on the edge of your boundary on the left side so you can only play with your right hand . only because you cant reset your posision anymore.
At first thrilling, but then annoying. As another incredibly helpful review pointed out, the game's damage output system is terribly flawed. If you don't know any better, this game will destroy your elbow joints. It constantly requires you to ramp up the speed and volume of punches you're throwing. I was barely winning matches by outpunching my opponents by over a hundred punches with ridiculous accuracy required too. This isn't good for a workout if it hurts you OR gets annoying to the point you quit.
This game is at it's best when it has no idea how fast or how much you punch. Once it figures you out, it's broken.
Good game, but. This is probably the best VR boxing experience. I played Creed, which has TotF beat for production quality and hype, but this is my go-to boxing game. TotF plays in a familiar style - three to five 2 or 3 minute rounds against various opponents, matches generally going to the scorecard or a rare TKO if one of the fighters is knocked down 3 times in a round. It's more technical boxing, with damage only counting if it's to one of the opponents' weak points, and knockdowns resulting from capitalizing on dazed opponents. That said, turn off automatic weight adjustment, unless you want "The Thrill of the Fight Against Boxers Who Have About 60-80 Pounds on You". The game uses "automatic mass adjustment" to match your effort output to the character's effort output. An out-of-shape person, a kid, and a professional athlete should all have very similar experiences with the game, with victory coming from correct play more than physical condition. However, the system is flawed. The game tracks your punches, and then matches the level of your character's actions to your tracked velocity, using your best punches as a benchmark. This system fails. My experience with the system is that your best work becomes the game's average - so in order to punch at what the game considers to be a damaging level, you have to throw successively harder punchs. This is fine for a workout, but frankly dangerous for somebody shadowboxing - I threw out my arm beating Duke, one of the later opponents. The game directly tells you to punch at a "comfortable" level, but will actively punish your damage if you slip up and let anything faster fly - it now expects that speed from all your work, and will continue to crank that "mass adjustment" dial to penalize you as you continue to punch harder and harder. I recommend punching at a comfortable level, seeing where the game places you on its scale, and then turning off the autoadjuster to keep the Thrill of the Fight from dialing down your damage.
crashing problem. hello i love this game ive been playing it for years and i love it but recently everytime i play it. it only works for about 5 mintues then it just crashes ive tried uunintalling it and re installing it but nothing ive tried works i really want a solution to this becuase i love this game and i wanna play
Can't play PC Version. I love the game, everything is working on the Quest version. But the PC (Ocolus Store) version is just not detecting my playing area correctly. The ring is outside of my roomscale area so I can't get to it. Would be grateful if there is any solution. + (Quest version) is there any way to controll the way the direction of the arrow on the ground is aligned? It seems to just change randomly but because of my area I would really prefer one way. Leaving 5 stars because the game is just so good anyway. Good investment for 10€
Latest Quest2 Update Makes It Unplayable. I absolutely love this game and will continue to sink hours into it. However, I can't right now. Ever since the latest Oculus Quest 2 update, the "reset view" doesn't work. So the Red box you're supposed to stay within doesn't move, and it automatically sets itself up outside of the guardian. Hoping for a fix soon.
Regardless of that, the core gameplay is great. It's a lot of fun but fair warning, it will get you sweating. It has multiple opponents, multiple difficulties for each opponent, different custom settings for fights, different side activities from speed bag to a dummy. It's honestly a fantastic game. My only currenty issue is that it will not work with this latest Quest 2 update, which isn't even a fault of the developers. Hoping they fix it soon.
Not working now after updating Oculus. I have been playing this app for a while (about two years) without any problem but today it didn't work. I guess a recent oculus update caused this problem. I am using Rift-S and all I see is a black screen when run the app. Please help me to fix this issue.
