Disappointing - unfinished beta. Platform: Meta Quest 3 via Link CablePC Specifications: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D, NVIDIA RTX 4070 Ti OC, 16GB DDR5 RAM, 2TB M.2 NVMe SSDIn-Game Settings: Low GraphicsOverall Sentiment: While testing the beta, I've encountered several significant bugs and gameplay issues that detract from the experience, despite running on capable hardware and low settings. The current state feels very much like an unfinished beta, making it difficult to fully engage with the game.Specific Issues Encountered:Object Interaction Failure: Frequently, attempts to pick up or interact with objects in the game world fail. Items seem unresponsive to grab inputs.Auto-Height Malfunction: The automatic player height detection/adjustment feature does not appear to be working correctly, resulting in an improper or uncomfortable player perspective.Parry Timing Inconsistency (Shield): When attempting to parry zombie attacks using a shield, the required timing feels significantly off or inconsistent. Despite attempting well-timed blocks, I consistently take damage, suggesting an issue with the parry window or registration.Predictable Horde Encounters: The behavior and spawning patterns of zombie hordes feel predictable, reducing the element of surprise and challenge over time. These issues currently make the gameplay loop frustrating rather than engaging. I hope this feedback is helpful for further development!
Let me start by Saying Thank you to devs. SO, I purchased the stand alone version first not even knowing there would be or was a PCVR version. Being the avid VR user who stands by his 4090, a 13900KF, 64 GB of 5200 mhz DDR5 RAM, and my trusty good ol' Quest 3 headset, I always opt for the PCVR version over the stand alone 99% of the time. It just so happens this time I didn't even think about it as I just wanted to buy this game once I saw the preview. Even at the $49.99 price tag. So, after playing it stand alone for a bit, I saw it pop up in my feed on my PC in the Meta Quest PCVR app and was like great, I should be able to just download as many enable crossbuy when you buy stand alone or PCVR, unfortunately I have found quite recently this isn't always the case and well this title was one of them titles that cross buy had not been turned on for. After about a week I decided to write a review and, in my review, I was trying to be funny but still put it out there that it wasn't cross buy and how nice it would be if Sant or somehow it was. I swear like two days later in my feed, the download button was there, OMG I had a tar my eye, I was so excited and let me just say, it was so worth waiting for the longer download here at this lousy hotel I've been stuck at since the hurricanes. Anyway, thanks Dev’s so much for making this a cross buy. I have been playing the heck out of it since I have been able to load it up on my PC, it looks so sweet, standalone looks gret too, but still PCVR > then stand alone. While I am sure I had no influence on you making this available, I still wanted to say thank you, as I just couldn’t cough up another $50 right now as much as I wanted to play the PCVR version so bad, real life has been kind of costly to my son and I, so again, thank you for making my current situation so much more bearable. Well back to it, man I love this game!! If you haven’t purchased yet, don’t even think about it, just do it, cause you won’t regret it, what a game!!!! -James
