Distinctive Art Style Experience the horrors of Coldblood Mountain with a unique, macabre visual style that brings the remote wilderness to life in all its unearthly glory.
Good but short and easy. I would like to give 5 stars to this "game" but since it's only an interactive story, I am going to four stars. Anyway, the story is good and the atmosphere is amazing but it "lacks something". You want to know the next step but you are not so involved in it. Beside that, it's a very good work, it's worth the money.
A good horror short story in VR format. Feels like a good Stephen King or Lovecraft horror short story captured as a VR experience. No jump scares, but suspenseful, unsettling and lingers in the mind a bit once you've completed it. Also impressed at how the controls were designed around hand tracking. I will say that I found the "gameplay"/puzzles to be somewhat underwhelming/tedious, but you really play this for the narrative/atmosphere and it fully delivers there.

Cosmic Horror At Its Best. Fantastic story telling, fantastic atmosphere. One of the best linear storylines single player games out there next to amazing titles such as Firewatch and What Remains of Edith Finch.
Elegant and terrifying. Riveting, slow burn suspense tale well worth playing. The Lovecraftian narrative leverages VR to immerse the player in a moody remote world. Avoid spoilers and experience the fun (fear) of discovering the story for yourself. Highly recommended, don’t miss this one.
Really good but short. More like a interactive movie. Good story, atmosphere and voice acting. Was interested the whole way. The right amount of creepy, twisted and disturbing. Hand tracking worked well
Cosmic Horror in VR done right. This is an exceptional narrative experience that also happens to be an AMAZING cosmic horror story. The game hooks you since the very beginning, and thanks to its great narrative, you literally can't stop playing until the very end. I had goosebumps lots of times during the ascent to the top of this mysterious mountain. Also, the hand tracking works great to pull you in to the story even more. Since the interactions are simple, they don't get in the way and even immerse you more in this great story. So an easy recommendation if you're into narrative and/or horror games
A Horror Story that Leaves you thinking. This was sometimes hard to play, but in the best way. If that doesn’t make sense, then it will when you play it. But there are moments which are so surreal and fantastically horrific yet resonate with something terrifyingly true about humanity which made me stop in my tracks. It is the kind of game that makes you confront hard truths in a terrifying way, yet a way that remains meaningful. I got the game for free in a giveaway, and am so glad I did because it was quite the experience and I do recommend it.
I’m debating seeing if the game has multiple endings or not. The game plays a bit like a horrific Firewatch or point and click narrative adventure, but there are forks in various paths. From the ones I tried, I didn’t see much difference in the paths but I can’t help but wonder if the story would have changed if I hadn’t followed the … obvious way. I hope that’s true, because even though the game doesn’t really need replays likey since it is so strong narratively, being able to change theur one might be cathartic.
Overall it was great. Some of the hand gestures were a bit wonky, but I still recommend giving them a go. Certain actions just hit me differently because I was doing them with my own hands.
Great original story. The story is good on this, it’s about an 80 minute play through, I occasionally got frustrated with the movement, forgetting which way I came from, and a number of times I had to recenter as my footprints where I was meant to be standing was across the room from me. Some more interaction or puzzles would be nice , but it has good foundations to build from.
🔥 Fabulous 🔥. What an amazing horror based vr puzzler!
Pushes the boundaries of this genre! Full hand tracking amazing feature!
Can’t recommend this game enough! If your a fan of horror it’s for you! Also if your a little squeamish I also think you could play this as it’s just on the edge 😅
Can’t wait to get further into this game!!
But so far so good! Loving the story line 🔥

PLEASE immediately make something else like thisと言いたかった。VRにはFirewatchスタイルのウォーキングシミュレーターがもっと必要だ。作ってくれてありがとう!PS:Steamでも発売してくれ、臆病者ども! ;) また買って高解像度でプレイしたい。

Exactly what I want from a VR title! There is so much great voice acting and story here. I loved the environment design, the attention to details on the sets, and the pacing of the story. I felt like I was the star in my own personal horror movie! It starts out a bit slow and gets so good as it goes (like any great horror movie).
I highly recommend you come into this game prepared to play it with hand tracking. There are so many moments that are made better by the hand tracking mode! This is the first time I’ve seen it used to such great effect.
I am a fan of “walking simulator” style games with heavy story and minimal gameplay. This game has a few mild puzzles, but nothing annoying. Just enough to give you a quick “ah ha!” moment and move on.
I hope Meta choose to add this one to the main store so more people will see it. It feels like a waste that it’s on app lab where less people will discover it. I’m biased because it’s exactly what I wanted, but I am certain there are others out there that have been waiting for something like this.
I really like that the developers don’t crank up jump scares. There are SLIGHT startle moments but all but the biggest chickens will be able to complete this no problem. The horror here is more existential. I wish more horror devs would take notes on this game, because jump scares in VR are hard for me to handle, and I’m a die hard horror fan.
Speaking of existential horror, the ending hit different. It will leave you thinking about it afterwards, and possibly not in a good way. I like it!
Despite me giving 5 stars, I have a few issues with the game that I wanted to mention. Sometimes the line delivery changes tone. Like for example our protagonist might be extremely panicked, then a second later you teleport and she is completely fine. Obviously the devs can’t control how long you wait between those nodes, so I won’t knock them for that too much.
HOWEVER, I will complain a bit that a lot of my favorite moments are in the trailer. Like the bit with the snake, or the saw, etc. I get it though, you gotta sell copies and show the cool stuff.
My last complaint is sometimes the story would outright tell me things that were obvious. I felt like the writers were afraid the user wouldn’t pick up the information, so they spell it out. I knock that in films sometimes too so I gotta mention it here.
I wanted to finish this review by saying PLEASE immediately make something else like this. VR desperately needs more Firewatch-style walking simulators. Thanks for making this!
PS: release this on Steam too you cowards! ;) I wanna buy it again and play it at higher resolution.
That’s what I’m talking about! I got this game for free from a giveaway and I probably wouldn’t have really been interested in it otherwise but I’m glad I did because this is an amazing game. Amazing atmosphere, Great art style, beautiful music, interesting story, fun gameplay all for a really low price
This is the right direction for horror. I loved it.
The hand tracking had a bit of an issue in the beginning but the hand tracking made the game much better. The controllers noise will break immersion so I do suggest trying the game without.
The story had me hooked right after meeting the friend in the mountains and I had to know where it went. And the details of the hands changing as the game progresses was brilliant.
Make sure you listen to all the memories along the way and explore the lore.
Engaging story driven game. This is a story driven game which uses hand gestures. There's no jump scares or genuinely scary moments, just an overall feeling of upcoming dread. I haven't played this type of game before but won it in a competition. I found it engaging and played it a little over 3 days until I completed it. The production levels are high and there are puzzles which drive the story which are not too difficult. At one point I did find myself aimlessly moving around the woods trying to find where I should be going but generally everything is linear driven. The hand controls are fun but sometimes fiddly until you get the nack of them. Along the way there are "memories" that appear in the air that replay when you touch them. This was a nice touch giving context and background to the story. I must confess to not fully understanding the ending! If you like story driven games I would recommend this. Like many other players have mentioned, it is a quality game with good acting and a supernatural story line.
A Point & Click Adventure. The game is interesting so far, but be warned: this isn’t an immersive VR game despite being rendered in 3D with limited ability to move in 6DOF. It plays pretty much exactly like an old school point & click adventure game, but instead of using a mouse and keyboard, you use hand gestures.
While you can move a little, if you stray too far from the center of the play space you’ll trigger a message instructing you to step back to the canter marked by foot prints.
I’ve run into one instance where the controls weren’t explained. Eventually I figured out that to use an item on something in the distance, you have to make a throwing motion even though that’s not how you’d actually use the object.
The graphics are nice, the voice overs are professional, and while I don’t think the game intends you to do this, so far I have been able to get away with using natural turning which gives it a little more VR immersion.
The hand tracking works well. Unfortunately I think it would have been a much better, and far more immersive, game if it had used standard VR controls and locomotion in room scale.
This is a taste of what VR games could be like on Apple’s headset. Despite the powerful hand tracking technology, it’s a big step backwards in immersion and playability.
Four stars if you’re Ok with playing a point and click adventure on a VR headset. Avoid it if you’re not.
