Great in depth resource manager! A+. Ive been watching this game for a while and was on the fence about it after playing Cities VR and Little Cities. This is by far the superior builder on Quest2. At first I was a bit like it's ok but now I've played for a good while this game is brilliant and gets better as it goes on, especially the story mode. Good voice overs and story plot and tbf the graphics and scale are decent too. Extremely in depth game with ALOT to research, unlock and build. Also theres combat/military aspects in this game that I didnt even expect which is cool too, slight command and conquer feel in places. Easy to play and follow the tutorials. But if you forget any info it's all in the knowledge base which is handy for reference. The story makes you take choices also which actually affect the game. If you want to get stuck into a mars terraforming resource manager building game this is for you. I get lost for a couple hours at a time with this title and currently it's the only game I'm playing out of 40 titles I own in my Quest 2. Really surprising title and a must have. A pleasant break from all the generic FPS games on here. A++
Ad Astra is the best city building VR. I used to play city planning games, like Sim City on my Mac for years. I enjoyed them and the level of detail and complexity. Ad Astra combines those types of details plus terraforming Mars for human inhabitants. At first I used the tutorials and “sandbox” to learn how to play. Now I’m playing the full game and it’s great. I love the way you have to use limited resources to build the manufactured materials you will need to build more complex buildings for human habitation. I feel like I have a lot more to learn as the levels of play get more complex, but it’s great fun.
Awesome. Have only been playing a few days and know I’ve barely scratched the surface. Can’t put it down and really excited to see how the story develops. I like resource management games but have never played one with this level of complexity. I’m super attached to my little world I’ve built.
Note that it crashes on startup sometimes. Twice it has taken two restarts to get it going. Aside from that I only have one small bit of feedback that I felt a bit motion sick playing, especially the first couple of times (seems to be getting easier the more I play). I’m not new to VR and don’t get motion sick that easily, so I just wanted to note that.
Anyway, I love it and it’s just what the Quest needed.
Bof. Had high hope for this one. I love simcities and such but this one. Just Bof
I played like 10=20 hours. Got the Terraformer 4 award and the immortal award and many more. But i still don't know what an AquaDome really does.
The voice acting is great specially from Amy. The story is nice but does it have an ending ? I need to bring down the planet temperature but how ? Or is that it when you beat Carmine ?
Best terraforming game i have ever seen. Literally everything about this game is good. The gameplay, the decision making (and that it actually matters) the graphics, and the story. All of it is just perfection. Honestly i loved the story, it's a real "choose your own adventure" kinda vibe with the different endings. I hope they make a sequel. That would be cool. 👍
Bug. Hello developers i think ther is a bug so yesterday i was playing per aspera then all off a suden i start losing nitrogen and oxigen fast but i dont have any oxgen suckers so please reply to my comment
Watch the green appear in real time. If you’re in to base building simulation games, then you’re in for a treat. I’ve played about an hour, and it’s so good, and I can already tell it’s story rich. You should read one of the more in depth reviews too. I highly recommend this game.
Cant believe how good in VR it is! It's all there, a challenge, great UI and VR interactions, a scale of Mars planet and really sci-fi vibe. Best strategy on Quest platform. Wish all DLCs come to Quest also.
Great but one improvement needed. Updated to five stars; I’m glad to see the opening credits can be bypassed now.
The game itself is a lot of fun. But getting into the game takes a lot of time both in loading screens and, more importantly, having to watch (sloooooow) credits at the beginning of the campaign mode every new campaign. I’d give this 5 stars if not for how long it takes to actually start playing.

Colonize Mars In VR. Per Aspera VR is a unique and challenging strategy game that will test players' ability to manage resources and plan for the future. THIS GAME IS HARD TO PLAY AND HARD TO MASTER. The game takes place on Mars and players must terraform the planet to make it habitable for humans. The gameplay mechanics are well designed, with a variety of resources to manage and choices to make. The graphics are impressive, with a beautiful and detailed depiction of the Martian landscape. The sound effects and music are also excellent and add to the overall atmosphere of the game. The game's story is intriguing, with a science fiction twist that will keep players engaged. The only downside I saw with the game is the learning curve. It takes a bit of time and patience to figure it all out, but once you do it is so rewarding! Overall, Per Aspera VR is a highly recommended game for fans of strategy games and science fiction.

Perfect Sit and Chill Game. While physically active VR games are fun (e.g., Resident Evil 4), an engaging game that utilizes VR well without producing sweat is appreciated. Nothing can quite describe how well zooming over the Martian landscape translates in VR, which also helps you identify with your AI persona. Put your feet up, snug your Quest 2 into place, and take a trip to the Red Planet.

Elite RTS. In the RTS-deprived Quest 2 ecosystem this is 100% essential if you dig the genre. Brilliant weaving of a great story (from one individual’s perspective, tough to do in this genre) into the macro of the game, which has you controlling a massive, but not overwhelming, system. And sandbox mode is also enjoyable.

Unique game for simulation gamers. Unique and well-implemented game. It's about terraforming Mars. The level of detail is enormous, the complexity is high and yet everything remains understandable and influencable. You have to plan and think ahead and the game somehow plays like a blueprint for the colonization of Mars in "real life" - meaning a high degree of realism. I find it brilliantly implemented. The graphics are good, everything is fluid and just zooming in and out of Mars is a blast.
To be able to evaluate such a game, you has to play it for at least 3-4 hours. Anyone who claims to give a rating with 30 minutes of "first impression" should not be taken seriously. At that point, you might have scratched the surface but experienced, seen or understood nothing.
Of course, the game is not for everyone: you have to love simulation games, building games and resource management, otherwise you will not be happy with this game either. And the high complexity and high degree of realism must also be fun, otherwise you will soon be out.
Outstanding. Really great game for anyone who enjoys civilization building and deep strategy. The narrative is really engaging and the gameplay is fun.

I lost hours… if not days in this game. I went in and and when I came out I had to check if it was still the same day
It’s getting progressively harder and it is akin to spinning plates but in a fun way (not that I’ve tried spinning plates so I accept my judgement might be skewed - apologies if I’ve offended any real life plate spinners out there)
There’s a lot to plan and consider and it’s keeping me on my toes. I’ve very much learned by trying and messing up, so the replay-ability is an exciting concept too - an opportunity to up my efficiency
I’m having so much fun with this, thank you to the developers 👏🏼
I’ll be going back in to play again shortly so see you all in 2024!
Great so far. Spent some time in it and really enjoyed myself. Read a few reviews and am hoping that it doesn't end with mars but let's you explore further and try various different planets and situations. If it's just one planet I will be disappointed but grateful for the experience. Btw...never realized mars was so small...for the size of the plants you place and the circumference of mars...has to be size of texas
Very entertaining, purpose fulfilld. Love the game so far. Keeps me coming back, story is nice so far, new stuff ist coming up. I really enjoy the game. We need more games like that!
Curious what future updates will bring.
Suggestion: - Some kind of filter/function on the gui so that I can not only see the nr. and type of builduings but also jump directly into it - The possibility to switch on/off as well upgrade a building from the filter/ function mentioned.
Thx for the great game!

A must own for any RTS fan! Per Aspera VR is a must own for any fan of real-time strategy games. The gameplay is executed beautifully for VR as you colonize and terraform mars into a habitable environment for humans. Featuring a campaign mode and a sandbox mode, this game has probably the best story I've played in any RTS game. Very well done! Played it and didnt stop till mars was mine then loved the changes i was doing to the actual planet and tried to make it all green as a utopian earth and got lost bc once i was doing that i realized the greenery never covers a whole area so my plans may remain forever unfulfilled but ill still try and see if im just bad
A serious resource management game. Great to see a fully fleshed out resource management game hitting Quest. I like the mechanics and the campaign does a good job to ease you into all the features. Looks nice! Recommended.
