It works well but difficult to use. I am a bit on the fence on this one. Pros: 1)The integration with Plex is excellent, it works great on that perspective. Cons: 1) Having all controls on screen by default might be nice on paper but in practice is much more inconvenient than the normal menus/playback interface used by any other video app (I think the current default control should be optional under some advanced menu). There it much reliance on scrollbars that are very difficult to handle with precision. Plus the interface is just confusing.. why I should see the reproduction menus while I am just scrolling my library? 2) controls are by default much more complicated than they should be if anything because they don’t behave how somebody would expect if compared from any other apps. For example trigger and joystick don’t move the interface or the screen. 3) interface cannot be moved and the position is overall very awkward. It sits at an odd distance of compared to any other app I ever used
Overall I think the execution from technical point of this being a Plex app is good.. but the overall user experience is really hampered by the interface
Works as intended. I've been accessing Plex via bigscreen beta via the direct server option, but have been wishing for support when not on the same network. Haven't had a chance to try it when traveling, but looked good when I was on a different Internet connection in home than my Plex server.
I know it is just a beta, but giving 4 stars as the UI is kind of hard to use, moving the screen around was finicky and the UI isn't the prettiest but it worked as intended. Would be nice to get some cleaner UI and more intuitive options for moving and resizing the screen.
I'd love to be able to just hold the grip when pointing at the screen to move it around, use two hands to resize and also have the option to curve the screen in the future. Overall I'm looking forward to future improvements and hopefully this can be one everyone's main way to watch Plex in the future in VR.
Works great with my Synology NAS. In my case, this does exactly what it should. I can access easily my content, movies, TV Show directly on my server. I tried with other applications but get network errors. Can easily navigate within the video, backward and forward. I even paused and came back. Thank you Plex for your great work. Can't wait to see the future updates,
