A d d i c t i v e. Since I loaded Paradiddle (after discovering it by searching for a drumming app on Quest2 on the inet) and getting into it, all other apps I bought before this have lost their shine. What a blast!! The visuals, the feel, the sound, the response, the customizing options, the note highway with levels going from Easy to Expert, the lessons - I’m having SO MUCH fun playing to songs I imported to the app that meanwhile I believe Paradiddle is the only really good reason to have bought a Quest2 headset! I’m sort of an advanced beginner at drumming and trust this is not only fun, but it’s actually taking me further. I haven’t yet explored all capabilities, but if there is something I wonder about, they have good documentation (for example a detailed guide on how to set up pedals), and the user community on Discord is very active and helpful. Thanks to all this, I’m having a super experience and can recommend this app 100%.

Game Review:
As a drummer myself, I was ecstatic to find Paradiddle on the Oculus Quest 2.
Being able to play drums without worrying about noise or space constraints was a game changer for me.
The fact that I could also use a bluetooth keyboard or physical keyboard (which is what I’ve used initially before buying the bluetooth pedals) as a foot pedal for the base drum was a huge plus.
The rhythm game mode with custom song support and cross-platform leaderboards was a lot of fun, and the ability to choose from over 50 realistic percussion instruments, including 5 full drum kits and various auxiliary percussion, kept things interesting.
The 10 beginner-friendly lessons were also very helpful in brushing up on my drumming skills.
One of my favorite features of Paradiddle was the ability to play in 4 different environments – Dojo, Jazz Club, Galaxy, and Void – each with its own unique feel.
And when I bought the bluetooth pedal for the kick and hi-hat, I was able to get even more immersive in my drumming experience.
The passthrough AR support, which allows you to play in the real world along with other musicians, was another standout feature for me.
Overall, Paradiddle exceeded my expectations and is easily one of my favorite VR games. The fact that you can load your own songs, audio files, and sheet music, as well as easily save and load different kits and record your jam sessions, makes it a truly comprehensive drumming simulation.

Awesome. Love this app. I can't drum very well but love bashing through the tunes. Easy, medium mode plenty for me at the moment but who knows.
I do wish it had a trainer mode (not lessons) where you could mark out a section and play it on repeat until you master it, maybe 50% or 75% speed.
So.. thanks to the programmer, great job and thanks to those who have made additional songs available, if I work out how to do it I'll add in some 60s stuff, kinks, Beatles, stones ...etc. which are more my era.
Update:
Still playing after a couple of months and can now play quite a few songs on expert mode. I've also made a few song trainers, using a music score editor, to learn the actual drum parts on some of my favourite songs including "All right now - Free" and "Zombie - The Cranberries" which have been great to master syncing my foot and hands together. One thing I've noticed, and I think it's a problem with my room lighting, is that my drumsticks sometimes go haywire particularly on some faster stuff.
If anyone else is creating songs.. do you know if you can either
Mark the hi hat note on the note highway to show it's meant to be played open.. or
Force the sound to play open regardless of whether the hi hat foot pedal is pressed or released?

I’ve waited my whole life for this !! I just want to say this as the first app I downloaded when I first learned about SideQuest/app lab. And always felt like I was wanting more from this app. Smash Drums is great! Ragnar Rock, fun in its own unique way. But by the time I turned off the headset at the end of the night, always came back to this app. It has everything I want in a drumming sim. Except the songs were getting stale a little bit and that was the one thing I’ve wanted for this app. So early last week after taking a few month break from all music apps (Im hooked on population one). I loaded up paradiddle. I thought maybe it’s been long enough I can download some custom songs and start playing something new. I watched a few YouTube vids but I don’t play pcvr, and the other tutorial wasn’t working. So all I can say is this new version is so clean! So polished, it’s like openjng a whole new second round of presents on Christmas Day. But I still haven’t seen where we can upload custom songs. Is this possible and am I not seeing it? If there is a way for us to put upload custom songs I will end up filing for divorce, quitting my job, and dedicate my whole life to this game. Congrats to the developers for putting out such a great VR experience! I’ll be buying this app for friends and family for the Holidays, and recommending it everywhere. Just please make it so we can upload our own songs……… **** EDIT**** as soon as I finished this message, I found the holy grail. I spent all night downloading and adding Green Day, RUSH, Fleetwood Mac, AC/DC and so many other songs. This is 💯 what I’ve been looking for my whole life. Looks like it’s time to file for divorce and such. Thank you Devs for all your hard work!!!
Is it just me or. I play on oculus quest 2 and it works fine but when I press the right trigger for the kick , It DOES THE ANIMATION but I don’t hear the kick pls fix , I tried uninstalling, refunding, nothing worked, hopefully it’ll get fixed
I have fun with it. I play drums and for me I thought this app is a lot of fun. There are some things I find kinda weird. I don't like the trigger button for the bass drum it's hard getting used to being that I have played actual drums my Whole life getting used to the bass drum by pulling a trigger with my hi hat hand is hard. It's hard to do actual drum rolls on the snare or any drum. I also can't figure out how to make my hi hat go up and down. Timing is difficult as well but thats just me getting used to the bass drum thing I think. I gave this app 4 stars despite of these negative things cause I find it really fun. I love the xylophones in it. Some more percussion instruments would be cool. Playing along with songs is hard for me again the bass drum thing. If there was a way to fix the bass drum thing I would absolutely love this app. But again it's alot of fun and a good way to be able to jam on some drums and not make so much noise or pay for an expensive electronic drum kit.

Note to Devs: I'm not sure if there is a preset drum kits or not but if there isn't please add one! I'm not sure what I need exactly in a drum kit and preset builds would be amazing! Also at some point multiplayer would be so much fun!
Incredible. Always wanted to learn drums, but thought I wasn't coordinated enough. This game teaches you how to play, and to your favorite songs. Wish they had this when I was a kid, but it's awesome learning now!
Best VR Simulation so far! I got this game on early access in Steam. Now that v1 is released, I noticed that the app has improved dramatically! It's now more accessible for people who want to learn drumming. With the help of the highway note, it now similar to rockband or drum hero. The good difference is, you'll actually develop your muscle memory and be able to apply them on a real drum!

Since I got this game really cheap while on early access, I decided to purchase the app for my Quest 2 (@$19) to support the developer. Now I can bring it anywhere with me. I tried to use it in one of my jam session with friends by connecting the Quest 2 to an amplifier/speaker and we all had a great overall experience!

Great app for new and veteran drummers. I've used the demo of Paradiddle for a long time and was glad to see this updated, polished version now available. This is the only VR app where your game skills can actually translate to real life skills. I highly recommend this to new drummers, veteran drummers, and really anyone else that enjoys rhythm games. Make sure to Google for custom songs as there's already many of them.
Great Game! I tried Paradiddle having no experience in drumming before and i can honestly say that i am enjoying it a lot! I started playing songs at easy mode and now i’m scratching the surface with hard mode.
Also a great stress reliever whenever i try to relax from a hard day’s work.
Amazing! This is as close as it gets to real drums. Lessons are great for beginners like me. It is so much fun to just chill and drum or compete for a place on the leaderboards. The app offers many options and functionality which I'm eager to explore.

Great Game. EDIT REVIEW: Great game for anyone with the slightest interest in drumming! Developers fixed the issue with the fourth lesson so now you can learn the basics through the lessons or jump right into playing. Drums feel good. Definitely recommend!
ORIGINAL REVIEW: 3 Stars Can't progress past the fourth lesson no matter what, it won't let me press OK to continue after one of the sections (can't remember which one).
Otherwise, it is well made and absolutely worth it if you don't plan on doing the lessons or have even the slightest interest in drumming.
Best drumming app. Paradiddle is amazing for learning drums for the first time and also practicing your skills. I especially like the Rhythm game mode to see how much I’m improving and compete against friends on leaderboards.
Fantastic. I'm bad at drumming but hell this game is a lot of fun. I see some improvements in my poor performance with each consecutive try at a song and that feels great - the app is teaching me how to drum. And it's so satisfying when you get it right. And the soundtrack is fantastic. Great stuff.
