First Resort (Early Access)(AppLab、リラックス/瞑想、物語)の評価とレビュー
A Wonderful Compliment To RL Therapy. I adore this app, and can't believe that it's free. As the title said, I find it to be an excellent addition to my more conventional therapy. But I seem to have glitched after the Short Term Goals lesson - I've watched the video, done the mindfulness exercise... but my little robot friend won't come back and I haven't been able to move forward. Please help! Am I missing something else I'm supposed to be doing to end the day? It's only been a few days, but already I miss this app.
VR-based mental health help! :). I saw an ad for First Resort on Reddit and decided to check it out. It is current in Early Access, which means there could be some bugs and glitches along the way, but it also means that it's currently free to use (in the future it will almost certainly be a one-time purchase or monthly subscription).
The app uses Cognitive Behavioral Therapy to help you through your mental health journey. Spread out across 19 chapters (I think - I'm only on Chapter 11), there is a variety of locations and activities to keep you busy. Most chapters have a short (3-8 minute) video, along with an interactive exercise of some kind, such as goal setting, identifying cognitive distortions, and determining your values. There is an area in the virtual lake house where you can create and modify your avatar, as well as change the color of Ari, your robot companion/guide. There are locations for mindfulness activities, so you can get in touch with your thoughts and feelings.
I have found this app to be super-helpful and recommend it to anyone who experiences mental health struggles!
Still growing, but I love it so far! First Resort is the first app I've seen that goes past meditation and affirmations and gives you tools for long term changes. There are still some bugs and glitches here and there - but the support team is seriously *on it* - I've never seen quicker responses to issues that come up. I think this must be a real passion project for them. I'm excited to see how First Resort grows and develops, and hopeful that I will learn some great skills and acquire tools I can use in my day to day life along the way.
Helpful. I would recommend this to anyone who was maybe not ao sure about seeing a real person for some help with things we all struggle with on our lives
Fantastic Resource For Any and Everyone. So often our mental health takes a backseat until we are having problems, and sometimes it continues to take a backseat even then. Many virtual options have been created as of late to give people more flexibility to care for their mental well-being in a way that works best for them, but the options for virtual reality have been very limited, and of the few options out there, almost all of them centered around meditation. In fact, I can only think of one other app that isn’t just meditation based besides First Resort. That said, this is a wonderful app!
First Resort isn’t about meditation, although there are meditation modules built in, this is an app that focuses on Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. The sessions are the perfect length to learn and practice without feeling overwhelmed. A foundation is established upon which you can build, and the companion app allows for continuous access even when you’re not in vr.
I encountered a little glitch and contacted support for help, and I was blown away by how responsive the team was. They even arranged a Zoom call to assist me with the problem I was having, and they did it in less than a day of me reaching out. Now, I don’t expect that to happen all the time, but it showed me how much the team cares about this product and the people who are using it.
I’m giving this a five star rating not because it’s perfect, but because of the attention to detail, and the willingness of the team to help and receive feedback that they take to heart. This app is amazing and has so much potential to become even better. I look forward to seeing First Resort grow and prosper, and I feel grateful to know that I am able to be a part of that journey while strengthening myself.
Phone number required. I have noticed a trend in which 99.99999 percent of apps that want my email before I am allowed to try out a single feature are scams. This also wants your phone number. Way to prey on people seeking help. No thank you.
Great Potential, Minor Glitches. I think the potential is here for this to be a great mental health tool for people who don’t like the idea of or have the means for seeing an in-person counselor. There are some very handy tools to help sort through and reframe thoughts that are helpful or harmful.
There is room for improvement for interacting with the environment. I find it a little difficult to move through the space easily and without glitches. The garden seems to be particularly hard to use. It seems like this is being actively addressed by the developers and I am sure the final version will be much better.
A great tool for all stages of healing. I can't recommend this game enough, even in early access it is well thought out and engaging. From sorting core values and determining which are the most important for the life you want, to breaking down goals to help you achieve the life you want, this game walks you through each step.
While this is not a substitute for actual counseling, I do believe it is an invaluable tool that should be implemented into counseling sessions.
I have learned more mindfulness techniques in this game that I have in many years of traditional counseling. It breaks down goal setting in ways that make them feel more attainable and teaches you how to set measurable goals.
The companion app has many great features including distorted thought tracking and goal tracking. Both of which are used in game as well. The thoughts you log will display in your forest so you can hold your thoughts and learn to categorize them and help correct them.
Each chapter leaves me excited to see what I'll learn in the next. I have recommended this to everyone I know, regardless of what you are dealing with in life I truly believe there is something in the game for everyone.

So Relaxing! 毎日、この体験の中で過ごす時間がとても好きです。環境は美しく、さまざまなチャプターはとても役に立ちます。
So Relaxing! I love the time I spend in this experience daily. The environment is beautiful and the different chapters are very helpful.
One suggestion I have is to have a “help” section if the user can’t figure out what to do next. I’m currently stuck on chapter five and setting short term goals because I can’t figure out where to do this in the resort. (What does the “companion app” mean? The checklist bullet in the scrapbook looks like a bullseye…)
Very informative app. Not only do you learn and log your own thoughts it’s like going to school and learning how and why we do and feel and think the way we do sometimes. Like the videos. Also it has a way of making you progress at a good pace and not get ahead of yourself. I noticed some things that could be worked on but nothing that would stop me from using the vr and app for this.
Excited to See Where This App Goes. This app uses the principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help support positive mental wellbeing. I particularly enjoy the mindfulness practices as well as the process of identifying cognitive distortions.
The app uses a companion application accessible through your phone where you can log your thoughts and goals while away from your headset. This keeps you engaged with the program and helps reinforce the lessons.
One negative is that you must register your phone number to use both the VR application and the companion app. Not everybody has a mobile number and it raises some concerns regarding privacy and what happens with data.
Nonetheless, I am excited to see how this app grows as I believe it would help a lot of people with their mental wellbeing.
Great for social anxiety. If you know or have known for a while that you need to get yourself to a therapist, this is a great place to start. The early explorations really do help you feel like you're doing something real. The helper they assign you can be a little cheesy, but you can tell their heart is in the right place. I see where they're trying to go with this and it's going to be absolutely fantastic for those who want to better their life without having to step foot in a doctor's office.
Interesting Resource. I’ve gotten through chapter 5 so far. I enjoy learning these skills in the VR setting; it makes it more like a game. There is a mindfulness section you can access fairly early on that would be helpful for most players. There’s open areas to explore, and a very cute robot that guides you through the story. So far, I really like First Resort.
Comforting. First of all, I really love the concept and its a quiet way to spend a few minutes.
The process is pretty cool with a "required" movie before every session and overall is a great idea and a wonderful new tool for wellness.
I will say, however, there are a few glitches that are frustrating which kind of defeat the purpose of tranquility. Ari is a cute little friend to guide you through the process but doesnt explain every move you are supposed to make..to continue. I find myself looking for a way for her to repeat something she had just said. Other times (looking for short goals) I found myself with no idea what I was supposed to do next??? I'm actually stuck there now. The controls are a little clunky and confusing for the garden but that may be my inexperience with the controls.
All in all....this is great! but has to become more ( lets say) older, user friendly.
Calming and different. I love first resort for many reasons but the top 2 and that I actually feel like I'm working towards my goals and the other is that it a great place to go and work on you, be it practicing mindfulness or setting sort to long term goals....there's something here for everyone!
Amazing for still being worked on. This is not just a meditation app, though it is good for that. This app teaches tools that can help so many understand how to reduce stress and how to live in the present. The fact that all this learning and growing can be done in a private environment at a pace that is comfortable for the user is priceless. Being able to be in an environment that does not have distractions and does not require you to develop a relationship with another person makes understanding and learning so much more effective and comfortable.
I had a few glitches in chapter 5 but customer support was right on it and got me back on track.
The companion app has been so nice so far as it feels great to see my goals outside of the headset and get encouragement right on my phone.
Very excited to see what the future holds for the wonderful app, I really believe in what this offers.
Short term goals. I have no idea what to do at this point - it was working well and giving instructions and I got to this point and no way to input short term goals or guidance on how to do so. I thought there might be an accompanying app for my phone but could not find it.
Couldn’t get past login signup screen. Pretty bad. Broken English on first few screens. Confirmed my phone, then entered my email and it would only let me type a few characters before there was no response on the keyboard (app was still running fine however).
Forced relaunch, entered my phone number
“that phone number is already registered; enter PIN”. (I had not made a pin yet, so I selected “forgot PIN”).
