D&D + Cyberpunk. As a guy would I installed the free demo from sidequest which was a great experience even while unfinished, the vehicle mechanic was fun to play around with so I know the paid version is way better
Great game from a great company! This game is so much fun. It brought me back to so many memories of playing Dragon Warrior, Phantasy Star and Final Fantasy. The turn base mechanic in VR has been implemented brilliantly and is also quite the cardio workout especially as you progress higher and higher in the tower.
Exploring the maps, collecting loot and customizing your character attributes is a lot of fun. The sounds the menus the NPC’s is all so reminiscent of old school RPGs yet very modern. Being able to switch back and forth between 3rd and 1st person view is super cool.
Next is the developers. They are super responsive and active in their Discord. I had an issue that was self imposed and they still helped me out and did it super fast. I recommend this game highly just for the character of the developers and the bonus is they have a FANTASTIC game too.
Really interesting turn-based RPG game. In this game, You have to desperately moving in person to dodge oncoming attack. Preparing for hole body exercises since this game is just like a testing ground of dodging maneuvers. You can even do something cheating with enough space. Overall, really creative and interesting game.
Amazing turn base game!! I've played the demo...which is alot ofnfree content to decide if it's for you. Just downloaded full game and it is greatness. U Def need a large area to evade the attacks tho. So u need a large room. Turn based. Dungeon crawler type. First one on quest ive seen.
My Thoughts After Beating The Game. Ignoring The Fact I Strained A Leg While Dodging Attacks, I Liked The Concept Of Manually Fighting, And I Found Being Able To Defend My Character From Turrets And Lasers With My Hand Really Cool. Hoping Later Enemies Put My Dexterity To The Test
SUPER LATE Post-Game Update: I Guess I Got What I Wished For, Because HOLY CRAP Was The Difficulty Curve Steep I Went From Going Multiple Levels Without Dying To Dying Multiple Times To A Single Boss (Homing Fireballs Are The Bane Of My Existence), Forcing Me To Grind For The Best Armour I Could Get And Spending Several Minutes On The Treadmill. Whether Or Not That Was The Idea I Guess I'll Find Out In Arcaxer 2.

This game is something special… it feels like being INSIDE the original Final Fantasy 7… and this game proves that JRPGs could be incredible in VR. The way the turn based combat works so brilliantly all but guarantees that we will have more games copying it in the future. I always wished there was an actual game that gave me a legit workout while playing it. Games like beat saber are cool but I’ve wanted an actual game where I can manage an inventory and level up a character and make him stronger. ARCAXER finally gave me that!
Masterpiece. Bought the game on sale and it’s amazing. I’m messing around with Unity game engine right now and I can tell you this game took a lot of love and care into making. If you love the classics that feel made for VR pick this one up.
Even better than I anticipated! I had been eyeballing this title for awhile now, letting reviews roll in and I was pretty certain I'd like it. I had no idea that I would LOVE it! So much more here than meets the eye initially. Let's start with this....it would seem you can play this darn near infinitely. Let's go over the content;
There are 3 classes, multiple modes of difficulty, a randomized tower, levels upon level of what seems to be a large variety of enemies, boss battles that WILL challenge you and free roamish map to explore. In that world you'll have a dog you can summon. A puppy. That's right, Barkaxler. A hoverboard you can ride and jump and a variety of equippable weapons and spells, including pistols, which made me very happy.
So you'll stay busy for A LONG WHILE. Replayability....check.
Graphics are more than they appear at first as well. Tired of playing tabletop/3rd person....switch it to first person and crawl the dungeon through his eyes (you battle in first person anyways but you can choose to traverse that way as well). Like the third person....lean forward....use your hands....really get in there. Just pause once in awhile to really admire it. Options galore in just how you play alone. Snap and smooth turn are available with comfort settings for the motion sick prone.
So graphics and UI are a check.
Most importantly it's fun! With strategy and quick dodging and varied enemy attacks with new surprises as the floors climb....it's every dungeon crawlers paradise. The voices and story are simple but charming and lend to it's charm. The world seems small at first but you quickly find it's not and has plenty to explore and good room to expand on (hint hint devs!).
I see myself playing this game for a long time and hope to see the dedicated following this game deserves land us an expansion or two lol. Bravo! Oculus underground title of the year in this gamers opinion. Thank you for the value and for an actual FULL title with ample content in a world of half finished VR games....you are rare Arcaxer.

I really like the music and how everything is related. I do find it a little repetitive , but I am not finished yet, will update once I am done with it. I worth every dollar so far.

Best VR game there is to date. First I wanna ssy, I played games like walking dead saints and sinners, RE4, Surv1v3, and many more, and as a fan of rpg I can tell this game is the best.
If you like turn base rp, dungeon crawlers, skill customization, and more, then dont hesitate, its well worth the price. Ihave a good 30+ hours and still freaking love to start it at times and play.
I dont write alot of reviews. I dont write alot but there are some games that are definetly worth it. Weather they may be crap and people need to know or just freaking AWESOME!!!!!! LIKE THIS GAME!!! I have about 2 hours in and seen like 15 different bad guys and that's just barely scratching the surface of what the game is. You do definetly and I mean it ( need the room scale) to play it or ya may be crashing n falling into stuff. It's a bit of a workout but not over tiring at all. I'm old n not in the best shape n I can play a couple hours straight. But devs I love the style, creativity, the looks and the game. This is a must have!!!!!
I’m a little confused. Look I love RPG’s and have been playing them all my life and was exited when I saw one on VR and ecstatic when I saw it had such a high rating.
However my initial impression wasn’t as good as I hoped, I know RPG’s like this start of slow but I found myself wandering through 3 floors encountering absolutely nothing, after finally encountering an enemy it ended up being a gnome that fires lasers and it started bouncing all over the room. The clothing items don’t appear on the character and for normal mode the enemy bullets are boringly slow. The “open world” is pretty barren and the only thing keeping me playing was the funny text and characters. Look I’m not one to diss a game that easily so I’ll keep playing, I’ll redo my review once I’ve gotten farther into the game.

Legit RPG. Arcaxer delivers in VR what I've been looking for as a lifelong gamer from the 80s, a RPG. The tutorial writing got me in. The first fight got me on board. The tutorial boss had me hooked. Getting to town and experiencing everything has my addicted. If you enjoy JRPGs, dungeon crawlers, turn based combat, or eccentric NPCs Arcaxer will be your new favorite VR game.
Workout - Mix Reality - God Mode - WOW. Arcaxer has to be one of my favorite VR RPG games out. The game just has so much to offer. Specially on the Meta Quest 2. The game is a a turn based action adventure RPG with JRPG vibes. It is a dungeon crawler that is roguelike to keep it fresh. It comes with all your RPG elements, leveling, upgrading stats, gear, weapons, spells (HAX). It has looting, buying selling, all the RPG goodies are there.
What makes this game standout is the way you play. The game can be played from God mode, or FPS style. You change this on the fly anytime. The game also has unique combat. Its turn based, but you have to physically move around to dodge the enemies attacks. This gives you a great workout. Speaking of which, you can also physically run on a treadmill, and work a punching bag to build your stats. You and the character will grow stronger at the same time.
Now what makes this even more special on the Quest 2, is the pass through AR, mixed reality it adds to the game. Mixed reality is the next level of entertainment, and I love that devs are making use of it on the Quest 2. It feels great killing bad guys in my VR room. This is optional if you are not into it.
The game play and world feel and look great, drawing you deeper into the game. The story has you climbing a tower filled with levels of different dungeons. Its a race to the top, to save the world. This reminds me a lot of the anime Sword Art Online. The characters also give off strong anime / sci fi vibes.
If you like RPG games, and great VR experiences and want to try some mix reality gaming, pick up this title. Just try the free demo, and you will be hooked.

I don’t write reviews but.. I LOVE IT. I don’t usually write reviews but I played the demo of this game when it was on app labs, I played the demo for hours then when the demo was over immediately bought the fully version when it was still on app labs. there’s just something about this game that is ridiculously addictive. As of right now it is in my top 2 games for most hours clocked on my headset. For anyone on the fence about buying it, I Would DEFINITELY recommend getting this game its a lot of fun and it’s not a short game definitely worth what I paid and I can’t really say that about too many games on the oculus store. This game is definitely worth trying even for those who might not necessarily like this kinda game I’d still recommend trying it because you’ll probably be surprised I’d give it more stars but it maxed out at 5 so my rating is 10/10
