Superb Game. This game is so much fun. It has the most compelling gameplay loop I have seen in VR.
You build your realm, then you attack someone else's (feeling like an utter b*dass with superpowers while you do) and that would be good enough in itself, but the real fun starts when you log back in next time and you get to see your own realm laid out below you like a gameboard and you get to watch other people attacking it.
Once you do that you'll be hooked. As you watch people attack you learn how to make your realm better and as you play you get more stuff to add to it.
The first person combat is very enjoyable too. I normally prefer my VR combat to be as realistic as possible, but here it is just so much fun punching an imp so hard he flies off the realm or killing the next enemy by tossing the skull of the last one right at his head. There is also a challenge to the combat and the system has depth to master (as does the strategic side).
This game has strategy, tactics, charming visuals and a great sense of humour.
Most of all it's just an enormous amount of fun! Do yourself a favour and buy it!
Diamond. I love the game I played it for 6 hours and drained my battery twice love the goblin Guide attitude. The amazing physics and of course the characters allies and enemies. Truly amazing game perfect in all ways I’ve seen👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Update: For the Devs As of the forth wall I think a co op wall would be awesome every realm island should have 16 space for items and enemies and should be 5-8 islands. My opinion but the game is awesome without my forth wall idea. Love the new update keep up the amazing work best of 2023 and probably the best of 2024 as well

Great game, brutal & fun.🤪🥊. This appeals to me as I've read the other reviews,saying it's like Clash Of Clans but in Vr,as I've been playing Clash for about 9 years or more, haven't got Gorn to compare,like others mentioned.
So far no glitches,apart from getting the axe out and it appears the wrong way round,lol, but not always. An enjoyable and fun game with decent graphics for this type of game and it's fairly brutal but so much fun,grabbing your enemies and throwing them over the edge,lol or when they throw a rock at you,you can grab it mid air and throw it back,so funny. Received my Axe, Shield,Bow and arrows and you also get a very large hammer,like being Thor💪 & a sword. Definitely has that Clash of Clans feel about it but this is unique in its own way. I'm enjoying it and will carry on playing,once my controllers charge up.

I didn't know that the quest controllers can suffer from Drifting issues. Thumbstick has now been replaced and no more drifting,I'm glad to report,easy fix.Funny it all started with this game,1st time I noticed it but it happens on other games also.Not anymore.

I love checking in every day to see whose attacked my kingdom, and return the favor by attacking back. They've also started rolling out GREAT updates. If you've been on the fence, GET IT NOW!!
Amazing Fun only reason I get on quest. I love progression and I love building my realm layout and finding out new things myself in it worth every penny only reason I get on my quest daily at all I hope it can help the game get support and recognition and if you are considering getting it it is so fun it is like clash of clans but the boring parts are removed and you are able to fight and be in the battle and get to play as multiple characters I hope this game succeeds and thrives
Perfect. Imagine an old heavy metal album cover, turn it into a vr game, add satisfying combat and base building, and you have barbaria. This game is awesome, and made even better by the recent regular updates. One question for the devs: what does barbellbaria do? I haven’t been able to find the answer online.
Great fighting game for endless fun. I love this game, the developers listen to the community and read the suggestions in the discord. The game really pumps you up to get #1 on the leaderboard. It's fun and I play it at least once a week. The community is nice and don't mind helping you with creating a good realm or by just giving tips. In conclusion, if you want the game, then buy it, it will be worth it!

It's good to be a semi-god. I hesitated to buy this, despite loving the Saturday-morning-cartoon vibe of the trailer (really great stuff!) I was a little turned off by the idea of having to interact with other players. But I gave it a go anyway.
Oh wow, is this game fun! As many have said, Gorn without the rubber, and with a bigger variety of challenges. Attacking other players' bases in their absence is just as good as playing with AI, maybe better because you never know what you'll get in any given realm (it is a bit demoralizing to see how many times my realm was defeated in my absence, but half the fun is building up your own strength over time). If you don't want to go after other players, the game provides plenty of different challenges and opportunities to win treasure and more godlike powers (speaking of godlike, this is the first game where I'm seriously disoriented returning to the real world and realizing my hands AREN'T the size of Volkswagens and I'm still just a puny human). (Also building my realm and moving the statuettes around gives me warm nostalgia vibes of Mr. Rogers' land of make-believe. Where my Gen X peeps at?)
The best part of the game is the wicked sense of humor (for instance, customizing your flag. If you know, you know). It's just fun and playful. Sure, you're brutally decapitating imps and throwing their heads at their friends on the reg, but that doesn't mean you can't laugh.
My only complaint, and it's small, is there's a lag between shooting arrows that's a little off-putting after hours of In Death: Unchained. I've lost more than one fight trying to get used to this delay. But I do like details such as being able to pull an arrow out of my own chest and shoot it back, I don't think any other game gives you that ability.
There's just so much to do in this game, I feel like I've barely scratched the surface. Top marks, devs!
Response: Sorry, I'm too old to use Discord 🙂 It's not game breaking, just a beat or two longer of a delay after firing an arrow before I can pull another one than I'm used to. Hope that helps?
Unique and so much fun. After the many positive reviews I finally decided to buy this. Been playing it now for a few days and it is really fun. Both the hack and slash fighting and the dungeon building. It starts easy, but gets a lot harder after a couple hours of playing. You can level up more or less everything: your champions, your weapons, your helpers, your many dungeon elements. Finding the balance in where to spend your gold is part of the fun. The replay of fights is great to watch. They are mini-experiences by themselves. Useful as a learning tool as well. Plus there is quite a bit of humor in this very polished Barbaria! Very good value.
It won’t stop kicking me out. I barely got my oculus fixed and I decided to play this game but then it told me “this is an invalid copy of barbaria” and then it kicks me out I never pirated the game I played the game all of the time before my oculus broke and now it just thinks I pirated the game? I paid full 20$ for this and this is how they repay me? And I have the game in my purchase history btw I have no problem with this game whatsoever but please just fix it
So much fun! If you have played GORN and are looking for more, this is the game for you. I have tried several similar games and nothing even comes close to the level of fun and polish this game has.
Add a tutorial that explains tables. I thought tables cost two points. They add points. That’s how people get high pnt tiles. Took me raging to figure it out.

Barbaria is definitely a game I could see becoming very popular in the VR community and if it sounds like you would enjoy this style of gameplay I would recommend trying it out.

Tips for playing the game. Upgrading your champions is crucial, as it massively increases their health and dmg
Krank is best offense, glad is best defense, and hammer is best synergy
Don’t give bows to glad on defense. she stops throwing her axe and it makes her alot weaker
Dont underestimate the power of pride altars, as they can be incredibly annoying with 3 skeleton spawners and a pride statue
Shamans and zealots are usually the best reinforcrments. Id take one of the big guys, but theyre mainly good on defense.
UPGRADE YOUR ARROWS. I cant stress enough how op the quiver is in this game. I can do 800 dmg a hit for a headshot, which can two shot any champ below lvl 4 and easily takes care of everyone
Never use a basic sword, its quite useless
Put shields on your defending champions. Most people don’t run krank or don’t have the patience to wait for the champion, and will try to attack their shield which always end poorly
KRANKS SABOTAGE IS CRUCIAL TO WINNING. Not only does it sabotage all building, it explodes the skeleton walls, staggers, gets rid of annoying cannons, and more! Just remember it can be hit back at you, so try to aim it near their feet or for a cannon near. the sides.
To defect attacks, all fist attacks can only be blocked by fists and all weapons attacks can only be blocked by other weapons. Fire skulls can only be fisted away, whereas arrows, bombs, kranks sabotage, and rocks can be hit by a weapon.
You have two weapon stores. Use one for skeletons (ig hammer) and one for everything else
Only use an axe on glad. It does way more dmg when thrown.
Always do ring of champs and melody of violence. Can give thousands of violence depending on your skill level.
The best fragments usually have either really big open areas where you can stuff alot of items on, or very small areas where you can use cannons, shamans, and krank to nearly insta kill
Dont forget your magic abilities! Sabotage and healing is especially crucial if you dont play krank i Thats all for now! Ill update when I find more, lovely game.
Highly customizable. This game is great for anybody who is willing to put some time in, the game is fairly boring and grindy early but once you start getting stuff to level 5 what matters more is skill and creativity due to almost everything being maxed.
Truly incredible. This game rules. Do yourself a favor and buy it. Amazing art style, addictive gameplay loop, funny jokes, custom soundtrack support. I might start playing this more than blade and sorcery from now on. I played until my battery drained to zero, and now I'm sitting here going crazy waiting to play again!!!!
