Fantastic. I have always been a fan of Sim City style games. But find the newer ones (I'm used to the old school sim cities) are just too chaotic, too much going on. This game solves that.
The tutorial is well laid out, doesn't last too long while giving you all the info you need.
The graphics and environments are cute and relaxing. The ambient sounds and music are relaxing. Can easily lose yourself within the game.
Gameplay and controls are smooth and intuitive. Easy to pick up and master, there's no fumbling over stuff or forgetting how to do things.
Suggestions to make it better:
The city needs to be more "alive" I like how the police on occasion take off with sirens blaring to go to calls. And how construction vehicles head out to work on buildings. But other than that, it is just "dead" Having people strolling around would be a great way to fill stuff in. Playing at the parks and beaches, strolling the streets etc.
Along those lines, just having more happening, like I found myself following police cars to their calls, zoomed in. But they just park outside a place for a second then leave. Don't need a full on cops episode, but would be cool to see them actually get out and approach the house. Or to randomly have car chases. And they never go (that I've seen) to industrial or commercial zones.
Be nice to see the fire trucks put out actual fires and stuff. And really just more interactive stuff like that would be perfect.
Would also be nice to be able to move buildings, I know that's not a typical feature for games like this. But I think in the VR setting it would just be nice to pluck up a building and relocate it rather than destroying it and rebuilding. Makes city planning easier and less "destructive"
Things like weather, disasters, day/night cycles would also be great.
But honestly. Just suggestions to make it even better, but I am thoroughly enjoying my time playing this game. Great job to the development team.
Highly recommend to everyone who enjoys this style of game in a relaxing environment.
The most lovely game of the year. Honestly little cities is one of the best games of the year. It has wonderful features and graphics, while still being quite inexpensive. Of course like any other game it has some issues, but i believe, that the devs will take care of them as soon, as they will have a way of doing so. Overall my experience of the game was great, and I am thrilled to see more. The issues or rather missing features are: 1.Tiny people walking around 2.Changing seasons 3.Day and night cycle 4.A few events for an example a meteor shower, or a flood would be very nice to see I hope my review was helpful to anyone considering buying this game. I assure you, you’re going to fall in love in this game, it’s totally worth buying. May The Force Be With You
New fav, but my neck hurts! I love this adorable game, and I’ve been playing it constantly over the past few days! It’s low pressure fun designing and redesigning the little cities, adorable graphics and city mechanics, and the controls are easy to learn.
However, the neck strain is real. You have to look straight down pretty much to build your city, so if there’s one thing I would ask the developers to look into, it would definitely be to add an option to tilt the whole board at an angle/various angles to be able view your city straight on.
Very fun and relaxing. Just started this game it has very good graphics and art. Spend hours on it building your town and watching it grow. I would like to see added walking people around and more going on in the streets. Besides that the ships, aircraft, and birds flying are a good touch.
Not sure what the bad reviews are about I’ve had no issues with game and enjoy it very much. I’m sure it will get more updates and support from the devs.
Good but needs more. It’s good but here are some things I think would be good to add
1: make a multiplayer option ( ok I know it sounds dumb but it would be fun )
2: it stops being fun once you complete all six islands so make a random island generator
3: make a creative mode with infinite water, electricity, and funds
Little city good and bad. I uselly don't write a review unless I really like the game in this case it is a very well done game but pro and cons like all
*it is a very easy game to understand and play *it has pretty good graphics 👌 *There is really only a few things you need to keep a eye on (water)(energy)(happiness)(money)and (population) *it's simple That's just a few things I am mentioning.
CONS *limited selection on places to build like a few islands that type of stuff *limited animations of the building. * no little people to see walking around the city *no night and day cycle so you can see the city light up at night *limited custom stores for example no sines like heavenly pizza or pig out dinner. The buildings just look like blocks. Just to name a few things.
But still it is a very fun game replay value out of 10 I'll give it a 5 to maybe a 6. But still a very good game I do hope the company who makes this game keeps working on it yall have something here. Any way that's my thoughts I hope this helps any one who is thinking about purchasing this game.
Suggestion from me who love this game. My boyfriend gifted me this game, I fall in love with it at the very beginning, the graphics, the move how easy to use the controls as well as hand tracking. Like everything else that exists on this planet, this game needs sone improvement to be enjoyable for all ages. 1. more Island 2. The industries and commercial building needs to be able upgraded because the island has spaces limited 3. multi-place needed 4. be able to share our Island with friends who have the same game. 5. leader board and winning awards for the best players. 6. The 4 seasons 7. The day and night cycle Thank you for creating this wonderful game.😊
Fun and satisfying. I had a great time playing this, but I’d love to see more in-depth features. Like a sandbox mode where I can build and modify the terrain and being able to name my cities or visit other player’s cities and vice versa. Maybe even the ability to view from street level and interact with my citizens while also playing mini-games with them. Hopefully they’ll be able to update the game or even make a sequel, until then I’ll still be playing 👍🏻😉
FUN BUT TOO SHORT. Haven’t had so much fun in a while. This little city builder is like a massage chair for your brain, once you start playing it’s hard to stop. Unfortunately the game is too short, but I have couple ideas that would add hours and hours of gameplay.
— Random Island Generation — Different game difficulties (easy, normal, expert) — Game Modes (Countdown ,Achievement Hunt ,Sandbox) — Multiplayer -why? It’s a city builder game? Why not? Now, imagine that you play with someone and build the city together while having the best time! — Quests (Daily / Weekly that will get you random Rewards like new structures, trees etc..) — Events (building competitions….) — Terraforming
PLEASE Add Notification if a facility or important structure gets destroyed by volcano. And please fix traffic jams so firefighters, police and ambulance can reach affected areas.
Help! I love this game, but I took a break from it for a couple of months because I had completed all but the last island. When I went in there tonight to start on it all my previous islands that I had completed have disappeared! No matter what I do I can’t seem to get them back. Previously I never had a problem going into the game and picking up where I left off, now the only island that shows up complete is the first one. Please don’t tell me I have to start from basically scratch again, I have spent countless hours on this game!
Don’t mistake it as similar to Cites Vr. Don’t compare this to Cites VR. Though they are both focused around building cites, they are not alike. Unlike Cites VR, Little Cites is not the type of game where you are waiting hours for stuff to build. Instead, buildings are completed fast, as in game time goes extremely fast. (About a week every 30 seconds) Little Cities is more of a sandbox game. It still has a money system, but it is very chill, and I have never run out of money. Overall, this is a great game, especially for the price, and I can not recommend it more.
This is one of the best games. When I found this game I was like yes I finally found a city builder for my VR headset. It would be really nice if you added tiny little people walking around. I know that that would be a lot for the quest to handle. It was also be nice if you added a creative mode with infinite funds infinite water infinite electricity and infinite everything. I’ve only made it to three islands and I already love this game so much. This is so worth installing. At this point this game deserves about five stars. The further things that they haven’t added yet it still deserves five stars. So I’m giving you a five star review I don’t even care anymore.
Fun, but can be more freedom. I’d like to see freeplay with crafting water and land, challenges and stuff would contribute to the game a lot. With controls and stuff it’s very solid, but there is much more to squeeze out of it.
For now it’s ‘just’ a funny limited game, but with solid speed and performance.
Little Cities is a cute and simple game. Little Cities is a cute and simple city builder. You begin the game with an empty island and a balance of $20,000. As soon as you hop into the first island you are taken through a tutorial. You move around the maps by using the back trigger to drag yourself to your destination and you could also adjust your height using the thumbstick to have a god's eye view or be up close and personal. Viewing progress and city statistics could be done using your smart watch and menu items are chosen using a bubble style menu that is incredibly intuitive and satisfying to use. Options for standing and seated play are included as are settings for choosing your dominant hand. As you progress more and more content will unlock including 5 additional islands each fitting into one of three themes (either volcanic, tropical or desert). I do also know that tons of updates are coming soon such as a hand tracking update in June and an update in July that will add more assets to the game. If you are the type of person who likes city builders this is definitely a great one that could be fun for the whole family.

Relaxing enjoyable game. This is my first VR game review. I love these types of games. I play rollercoaster tycoon and Sims on my iPad so this is right up my alley. I did complete all the islands pretty quickly and I am definitely ready for the next update. You can delete your items and re organize from there or you can restart the level. I do hope on the next update there are some more single square options like the trees In the desert islands. May I suggest some more tree options or statues of some kind for single squares? I like to use those just to fill up some open space. I love the little touches like the birds, planes, whales, and hot hair balloons. Fair warning it is addicting. I got in trouble for ignoring my boyfriend for too long playing this thing. I haven’t set up the hand tracking yet but was going to do that now and was hoping for the next update which looks like it got moved to Sept. I am ready! Great game!
Wonderful game but too short!! I just bought this game a couple of days ago and I love it!! I've moved on to my second island and the new challenges it creates. This is an all around simplistic but adorable, relaxing game!!
I have several suggestions:
1. Day/Night time change. Night lights would look so cool!
2. People!!!!!! Adding even basic people would do so much for the game!!
3. More than the 6 island groups. I do hope since this is a new game, there will be more content released.
4. Friends! I'd love to be able to visit a friend's island for ideas, etc.
Way more good than I expected. I did not expect to enjoy this game as much as i did. If youre looking for a calm and/or relaxing experience, Little Cities is definitely worth a shot.
I hope this game gets updated with more content, since there’s a lot of potential for extra stuff, like more islands, extra modes and more customization. For example, being able to terraform an island and/or changing the colors of a building would be cool features!
Fun on many levels. I've never been a fan of city building games. Some are so complex that I would play for a while and then just look for the "earthquake" button. Little cities is different, I play this game to enjoy and relax, no anxiety, no stress that the order of my traffic lights are wrong, just simple pleasure. If you want a complex city planning game then get sim City, if you want fun charming and pleasant city planning game you can't go wrong with little cities for £15. Just what the doctor ordered
