Midfield. I got the title because of the many positive reviews and the comparisons to Moss, but this game doesn't come close to the two Moss parts. The genre is very similar and I like the combination of hack & slay and the attacks and abilities of the alchemist, but the game is very dreary and jerks so violently in places that you often lose control of the moth. It has also happened to me in three places in the game that I crash, survive, but can't find my way out. Unfortunately, even on my Quest 3 it doesn't look good and pixels and edge flickering spoil the gaming experience. Nice game, but I would put it more in the moderate midfield.
Broken Game After 12+ Hours of Play. I love this game, but after 12+ hours of gameplay it's completely broken, black screen whenever I load my save, the only other option is to start a new game and there's no way I'm doing that, I had all the upgrades and was in what looked like the final area, I've reported the problem with Meta and emailed PWF, left a comment on their Facebook and Twitter, if this can't be fixed, I want a refund, regardless of the amount of time I've had it or played it! I'm so upset, I honestly feel like crying!
5⭐️ not at this point 4⭐️ if the problem is fixed 3⭐️ if refunded and both Meta and PWF contact me 2⭐️ if refunded, but only contacted by 1 party
One of the best games on quest !!! This game reminds me of hollow knight but in VR. Is there going to be a quest 3 update? I will support any future game on the same style
Good idea, questionable execution. I really wanted to like this game. The story and characters give a sense that the team who made it had passion, but the actual game design has a slew of serious flaws, some of which had me quit out several times. * Visual feedback for Sola's combat is lackluster. Enemies do not give enough feedback when hit so it's easy to wonder if you're swinging out of range or actually hitting. There's not much in the way of appreciable hitsparks, there's no hit-stop whatsoever as far as I can tell, flinch animations can be difficult to discern from dying animations, the enemies themselves don't have a strongly visible flash or anything when hit. Sometimes the health 'dial' around the enemy will also clip through the floor so you're left uncertain if they're flinching or dying until they get back up/dissolve. * Checkpointing is awful at several parts of the game. There's quite a few that are a decent walk away from something that can kill you, so you're forced to trudge back to the actually dangerous bit, wasting a bunch of time. One particularly bad checkpoint for me though was in idol up: I quit out because I was low on battery and when I returned the checkpoint was ABOVE a monster that blocks access to alchemic resources and you obviously start with none so I had to go back down to kill the mob and any that spawned before climbing back up to the checkpoint to continue from where I left off. * Randomly dying is a big problem. I've lost count of how many times I've done the jump attack and instead of slamming into the ground I've fallen through the map and died (the most recent memory of it was right in the middle of the raft to the idol up level). There's also a fairly inconsistent fall distance that will kill you in mid-air if you go down too much, even though sola can glide. * 'Platforming' can be inconsistent. One bounce I had to deal with in Idol up wasn't high enough the first 3 times but was fine the 4th attempt. What did I do different? nothing as far as I can tell :/
Well.. Wow! Am roughly half way through the game and I'm having a blast only bad part is when my oculus dies and I have to wait for it to charge again so I can play more. Super fun combat and throwing mixtures at enemies and the hack and slash play really keeps me engaged. Boss battles are really cool and challenging. All in all I'm having a great time with this.
Push over Quill, here comes Sola. Watch my video review on YouTube IronbugVR - Mixture
Mixture is a first person and third person platforming game. It has gameplay similar to the game Moss. You will control a small character named Sola and guide her through the levels. At the same time you will also play in first person as a powerful alchemist helping Sola on her way.
I found this game to be more interactive from the first person view, and the combat much more challenging from the third person view.
This is a great platformer / first person adventure, that is challenging and has some epic giant boss fights. If you are a fan of Moss and are looking for the next great VR platforming adventure, pickup Mixture. This game will not disappoint.

Thanks for the quick reply! I played it some more at lunch. The atmosphere keeps drawing me back in.
The combat is getting more challenging but also more interesting from a strategic standpoint.
I also made it to a more involved platforming section that had a bit of light puzzle solving.
I’m raising my score.
Original Review:
A word of warning for Moss fans who have read the “if you love Moss, you’ll love Mixture” reviews, this is like Moss only in the basic concept where you’re a godlike being guiding someone else through an adventure.
The gameplay is much, much more challenging than Moss. In battle you guide the character around with the left thumb stick, fight with A and B buttons, gather resources to mix spells from the environment with your left hand, and choose and cast spells with your right. Doing all this while under attack from all sides and above is far more difficult than anything in Moss except maybe for Moss’s final bosses. There’s no healing by grabbing the character either like you can in Moss. You heal by first casting a spell on an enemy, then if you defeat it before the spell wears off, you’ll regain a bit of health. In my first few hours of gameplay combat has been what I’ve been doing the most. I can’t even imagine how difficult the bosses will become later. I’ve only encountered one so far, and they unleash that on you at the end of the tutorial level.
Unlike Moss, there doesn’t seem to be any puzzles in the game so far, just basic platforming in between a lot of combat, so if your favorite part of Moss was solving puzzles, you may be disappointed with Mixture.
If your favorite part of Moss was the combat, but you wish it had been more of a challenge, then you should really enjoy Mixture.
The environments, character designs, and animations are well executed, everything runs smoothly, and the controls are precise and responsive. To lessen the difficulty slightly, (but not by much), you can enable auto aim for spell casting. The one bug I encountered is that if you enable auto aim from the pause menu within the game it doesn’t target enemies. If you enable it from the main menu it works fine.
If this game had multiple difficulty levels it would easily be a four or five star game that I could recommend to almost anyone. As it is now, it’s a niche game that’s strictly for hardcore gamers.
I sorta like the challenge, but without the puzzle elements to provide a break between the frequent combat sequences after several hours of playing it’s starting to feel repetitive and more like work than play. I’m no longer excited to play it when I put on the headset, but I’m going to keep at it for a while to see if it becomes more interesting.
(Full disclosure, I was given a key to this game.)
Excellent game. I love Sola as it’s my brothers name. I like the fact that he speaks gibberish and you have to figure out through a comic style text conversation. It’s fun to watch how Sola and Ghost interact with each other as the story unfolds. Great adventure games that may benefit from some graphical fidelity updates in the future. Kudos to the developers
Fun boss fights and unique vr gameplay. The devs knew that they wanted something unique and fun when making this. The puzzles are great and you get to be an alchemist throwing vials at enemies. If you ever had chemistry class and felt the urge to throw chems around, this is your opportunity!
This is a really great game,I wasn't going to purchase this going by the trailer, but checked some YouTube reviews, and let me tell you, this is a really great game and great graphics and sound. The controls are straight forward. It's like a God effect feature but you work them both, really cool.
The levels are done great and the enemies are brilliant and I must admit it's very addictive, you won't regret buying this once you get into it, honestly, really great game.
If you like Moss, then your definitely bound to like this,as I do.
Anyway, here's some discount to help you decide, lol.Ypu can always refund.
Loving the game some issues. First I'm loving the story, art style, music, but the combat is really getting me sometimes, mostly the Auto aim. I'm at the octopus like boss and alot of the time I'll look at the red crystals throw the vial and it will throw it at some random enemy even though my view is on the crystals. Also wondering at the same boss, I know to get the boss to swing and hit the crystals you have to be on the front of the platform, but when I stay towards the front on the last crystal he hits the ground twice on the edge of the platform with the tentacles and leaves ground the damages you, then sent up the swing, but he never hits on that side. I tried standing closer to that edge but the damaging ground prevents me.
Changed my rating to 5 star. Thanks for the quick response by the developer.

Great game that was created in Poland. 👉👉 25% cheaper: https://tiny.pl/w8w2n
I like to control small characters with a top-down view, like in the Moss. And that's probably the main reason why I like it. It's a very interesting game that was made in Poland :) And if you like spells - this is just for you.

Drink that potion! The game is really amusing! Or should I rather say, amazing. You are able to combine ingredients and progress the story using your alchemist mastery. It's literally what I was doing my whole childhood, combining baking powder with water and throwing it away, waiting for explosion. The art is also a masterpiece. You are able to feel your opponents fear, when you step on their way. Is there a chance to get a soundtrack on a Spotify?
Maybe a good time killer?. The reviews seem a little fishy to me. The graphics are really cool for the entry, but get a little basic after that.
After the intro, the instructions aren’t clear and there are a few times you just have to figure it out. I watched a few YouTube videos and they seemed stumped a few times too.
It’s weird the character can’t jump and I found myself in a few positions I couldn’t get out of. I had to let the character die or restart the game so I could get back to a check point. The game does have a lot of check points and I did appreciate that.
And why are people comparing this to Moss? Is it a weird campaign? It’s similar in the fact you control the character, but that’s were the similarities end.
I love good puzzle games and the reviews sucked me in, but this game is just so-so. I’m not thrilled about playing it.
A very nice surprise! It took a little while for Mixture to get its hooks into me, but once it did, I couldn’t stop playing. Whenever encounters started to feel samey, a new element or enemy type was introduced to keep me on my toes. Factor in that each new alchemical power can be used in a variety of ways in and out of combat and this platformer might just be the most in-depth one I have ever played. The presentation does suffer a little but is made up for by the larger scale of the game and with a rather lengthy 8+ hour campaign plus some replayability in that item hunting and you get an action-platformer that feels familiar yet offers up something entirely new and all of that for a modest price and a game I highly recommend to fans of the genre.

Amazing Game. The game is amazing. Controlling two heroes works great. The game will especially appeal to Moss fans, but not only. Great adventure, I recommend it to everyone.
