Play the racket game from the future in your living room today! Are you ready to break a sweat in this ball bouncing, brick smashing madness? Can you destroy every single brick by swinging the rackets, shooting laser guns and detonating explosive balls, all while dodging shrapnel, charging up the piercing ball and collecting power-ups? Compete against your friends on the global leaderboard in 50 different levels or try to get as far as you can in the endless mode (sweat towels are sold separately)! Can you smash them all?
Excellent ! Cybrix! One Applab game WILL NOT disappoint as a fitness game! Five plus game for $10! No exaggeration involved! Perfect controls, nice background view and nice music! 3 tips: (bear in mind, I only played Normal so far) 1) the game builds up slowly, do not give up thinking it’s slow and boring (most probably devs had in mind warming your muscles up) 2) you can hit the ball(s) with your gun 3) most things thrown at you (good or bad) to distract you, focus on the main ball! I would like to hear if there are any more tips. Enjoy!
Really fun and a good workout. This game is easy to play and very fun. Graphics and sounds are solid. It starts easy enough but gets progressively harder as you go. Smashing a bunch of blocks when you get a power ball is very satisfying! It is slightly repetitive- maybe bonus stages can be added to break it up a bit? Regardless, it's good fun as is.
Fun game and quite addictive! As a person who used to love playing Arkanoid as a kid this game hits a sweet spot. The game combines the fun of breaking bricks, the joy of hitting things with a paddle, and the challenge of trying to beat your best score. Another huge plus is that the game can be enjoyed by every fitness level. The game can be a fairly relaxing experience on normal and can become a more frantic exercise at extreme difficulty. I really enjoy the game and I recommend you give it a try.
Ball action doesn’t feel right. This game is well made. The music is great. The environments are clean and really well done. The ui is crisp. Art wise, this game has landed perfectly. This game is first person Arkanoid, which is a good thing. There are 50 levels, although the first 15 or so are pretty boring. When you beat level 50 there is no fanfare. There are three difficulty levels, although mainly they increase difficulty by decreasing retries instead of putting more hazard blocks which is a mistake. The biggest problem the game has is the ball vs racket contact doesn’t feel right. You don’t really “hit” the ball so much as just deflect it. There seems to be something not right with deflections it is hard to aim the ball to a specific place. Compare with Racket NX where you immediately can feel much more ball control and steering from hitting the ball differently. This game does so much right that it doesn’t deserve a bad score. But for games like this, racket interaction is everything. So I can’t really recommend this game unless they redo the racket physics. Buyer beware.
I'm not a octopus but I try. bought this a while ago and did enjoy it, but a little glitch stopped me playing( it has been fixed). as other said it is a brick breaking at heart. you have a paddle on each hand to hit the ball(s) but during each round you get things like a powerball, hit it hard on target and it can take out 4 blocks. you can catch a gun, so you are trying to shoot the blocks with one hand and smash the ball with the other. sometimes you have to hit targets coming towards you. you also can get multiball where you have to try keep 3, sometimes 4 balls into play. only played 23 of the rounds so far as it was the hottest day of the year, sweat was dripping off me. I only played on normal so far and it can really get you moving, so look forward moving up a difficulty to see how far it goes.
Better than expected - an excellent game. Didn't have high hopes for this but it was one of the worthier App Lab offerings, so I went for it.
It starts off slow, a bit 'huh?', a bit 'is this it?' Well, no, that wasn't it. Powerball is the key to winning here, getting into a rhythm with both paddles as you clear increasingly frantic stages with increasingly cool powerups.
There are loads of stages, the mechanics change often enough to keep you interested, there are global leaderboards and you'll get a great workout.
Tons of fun. This starts out a little slow, but give it 5-10 minutes and you'll start to see the game progress, unlock fun power-ups and see new strategies emerge. That is when it gets it's hooks into you. Great accuracy and feeling to the game. Give it a shot for sure!
Fun and Intensive game! The game is rather slow at the beginning, but gets faster and more exciting after a few minutes. I found the passthrough mode very cool, but maybe they could develop it further and change the style.
Amazing and addicting!! This game is extremely fun. I ended up playing for over an hour the first time opening the game. This should definitely be on the oculus store. It's very well made and has no bugs. The tracking is perfect and it's just a fun game. This will be a game I always go back to. 100% recommend.
Great game. App lab can be a mixed bag,but this game is definitely one of the good ones. Starts off slow, but quickly revs up. I started the game seated, but had to jump up out of my chair because I was getting into it.i highly recommend this game.😎👍
Good game all round. This is a good game and I’ve played for a couple of hours so far.
it is really polished for an app lab game and I havent had any crashes or issues with it. I like the art style, music and effects.
As for the gameplay - there is quite a slow increase in difficulty, with phased introduction of mechanics such as blocks that cannot be broken or switch on or off. I’d like to see more indication when playing about when these changes were coming up, to deliniate between these changes. I’d also like to see more explanation of the power up mechanics. Im not sure whether the drops of these are randomised, or whether hitting certain blocks in a particular sequence can increase the chance of them. I’d enjoy being more strategic if I could choose or earn credits towards particular powerups as I progress.
I’m also enjoying that i can play this from a seated position (due to injury) so can recommend it to those who are less active.
Breakout in VR, a surprising workout. Basically Arkanoid or Breakout but with paddles, power balls and upgrades! Great soundtrack, colorful style and plays very smooth. I wore myself out a decent amount over a prolonged seated play session, not super intense but I came away feeling refreshed.
An absolute awesome game, challenging. Really cool game, the wall could be further back so you have more time to hit the ball. The many levels are really challenging. I'm only at level 30, but sometimes it takes 3 - 4 tries to get to the next level. Really an awesome game.
Lots of potential. I'm giving this 3 stars, but it's a really good game that should be a 4 star game, but the problem here is the games scale size. The mechanic of the game seems off, the play area should be larger it feel like your playing in a tiny little corridor & the ball travels way to fast in that short space for you to have time to react, it would be better if the game had more of a arena effect , more depth & height would give you time to react especially when muti-ball happens. I'll give it 5 stars with the above-mentioned, the addition of a editor to make you own level & the ability to use your own music.....with that! Look out Beat Saber
Great game with so much potential!! Played this game now everyday since release and have to say this game is now rivalling my favourite game Racket:Nx.
It's everything you'd want from a VR Breakout game.
I had a problem with aiming when I first started playing, but now I've got used to the gameplay and can aim pretty good, however aiming is still a problem when the bricks are close to you in Endless Mode. It's almost impossible to hit angles when blocks are 1-3 spots from the line. Despite this I believe this is still a 5/5 game.
SUGGESTIONS *Make arena deeper on Endless Mode
*Multiplayer Mode would be fantastic
#1 Multiplayer Mode: Has one player either end of the arena hitting the blocks in the middle, breaking the blocks that are slowly moving towards each player.
#2 Multiplayer Mode: As above, but when a player hits a brick, that brick moves in the direction of the opposing player.
*Although music is great and very fitting for the game, I would like an option to listen to my music.
*POWER UPS #1: Magnet - That you can use every 30 seconds, so any bad shots (like those horrible zigzag shots that take ages to hit bricks) can be pulled back to your bat, then the magnet takes 30 seconds to recharge.
#2: Shotgun - Basically takes out a number of bricks with one shot.
#3: Sword/Lightsabre -Giving you the ability to smash close bricks , which would help with my aim problem above.
#4: Freeze - Freezes the progress of the bricks in Endless Mode for a certain amount of time. #5: Big Ball - Can take out more bricks with one shot.
I recommend players stretch before playing. I've had the Oculus for a year now and was proud that I have suffered no injuries. However, after playing this for 2-3 weeks now, I have suffered 2 slight muscle strains due to the arena being slightly too wide causing me to overstretch reaching for balls. Perhaps the developers could reduce the width of the arena a smidge.
I look forward to future updates/challenges/levels.

Racquetball meets Breakout! It is everything you would expect a mashup of Racquetball and Breakout to be! Very well done! Just when I was thinking, "Man, it would be great if I could have a blaster in this game just like in Breakout" BAM, they give you a blaster to shoot the blocks while frantically returning the relentless ball. Really enjoyed the "Power Ball" element as well forcing you to hit the ball harder. Gave me a nice little workout that I wasn't expecting. Most of all, it is fun!

There's really not much wrong with this game. It's very polished and we'll thought out. It's not a matter of if this will make it to the main store BUT when. The Developers are very active and the overall VR mechanics work well. Art design is spot on across graphics, music, effects and menu system. 5 Stars.
