I love Brushworka VR! I have painted on canvas for a very long time ( more than 20 years ) and I love the way Brushworks VR feels, it's pretty simple to learn, things just came naturally it seemed. There are a few bugs in the app for me, but that is to be expected, hope they can fix them soon.
Better than Vermillion in my opinion. So I've downloaded a few painting and art apps, in and outta app lab and sidequest quest as well as official releases. Brushwork has made things much nicer. It's easier to move your tools, palette and easel than the other apps I found. YouTube works great for tutorials and music plus they have some preloaded. The room is nice and they have passthrough mode. YOU CAN HANG AND DISPLAY your art which is a no brainier and appreciated. Not to mention going in and out of the room and having different environments is very nice as well. There are bugs but it just came out and is still in applab so for me 14 and change after tax was a great purchase. One that does not even make me think of a refund. Oh and the sketch work is nice too 😊 Thanks guys I do hope for some updates for the bugs like loading but other than that, ace job. I much prefer this over vermillion VR
browser??. love this so much and just purchased the full version- I can’t get the browser to work! no music no YouTube so I can have painting lessons. Anybody know what’s wrong?
It’s buggy, but I see the vision. I enjoy painting with this app, and have been using it for the last couple of days. But, as all early access games are, it’s a bit buggy.
One, if I sign into my account through the app, it immediately boots me out one the sign in is successfully. I can no longer get into the app, and have to reinstall the app to use it again.
Two, after the game crashed because of low memory, I could no longer access the palette or web browser (I tried hiding, and unhiding them. Did not work. Moved the easel multiple times and repeated the processes to no avail).
Also a suggestion for a feature: Locking the movement of the easel. I want to stick my head closer to the canvas without it moving away from me (I know there’s a zoom feature, but the easel movement isn’t pleasant)
Fantastic digital painting experience! Brushwork VR's convenience of painting spontaneously, ANYWHERE, is incredible. The tools are fun to use and are really expressive on the canvas. One of my FAVORITE things about Brushwork is the true-to-life blending of colors: a rarity for most digital painting programs. Not worrying about wasting paint or canvas helps you loosen up on the "this precious canvas must be painted PERFECTLY" feeling, resulting in explorations and experimentation in ways you may not try IRL. I <3 Brushwork!
Keeps on closing. This app keeps closing on me and tells me brushwork has stopped working, would like to close or wait, it won't let me finish a painting, seems like a wast of money at this point. I have use the website version a few times and never had issues, so I thought I would buy the full version, but seems like a mistake now
Nice. I love doing art in vr an i got tired of being limited on doing art in VRCHAT. Bought this art game an i absolutley love it, so many cool options an things to do with different canvas sizes n such. The only problems i have is sometimes the erasers or blending stick doesnt work or the pens are highlighted for some reason but a a simple restart will fix. Also the pens stop working if ur too close to the edge of the canvas. I also was working on some art an it deleted itself once i had to reload the game. I guess im not too upset about it but it wasnt so nice. (Edit: I spent a long time doing another artwork only for it to delete itself. I do have auto save every 5 minutez but i guess it never saved, i gotta take a star away for that one because that was such a good piece just gone to waste.)
So simple and relaxing. This is a VR painting app that I personally find extremely satisfying and zen. I've lost myself for hours, just painting interpretations of whatever I find on the app's browser. The environment, mood, and visuals really keep me comfortable as I learn painting much faster -- and with less hassle and pressure -- than I would have in real life. This is really encouraging me to try painting for real again one day soon.
Great experience! The paint blending in this is wild - feels just like real life. Environment is playful and the browser inside of the painting environment is really helpful for finding subjects and models to paint.
