Through mind-bending animation, GOLIATH: PLAYING WITH REALITY explores the limits of reality and a true story of so-called ‘schizophrenia’ and the power of gaming communities. Echo (Tilda Swinton) guides you through the many realities of Goliath, a man who spent years isolated in psychiatric institutions but finds connection in multiplayer games. Combining heartfelt dialogue, mesmerising visuals and symbolic interactions, weave through multiple worlds to uncover Goliath’s poignant story.
Winner of the Grand Jury Prize for Best VR Work at the 78th Venice International Film Festival and nominated for an Emmy Award in the Outstanding Interactive Media Innovation category.

Seeing someone else's reality. Having already gone through this experience when I got my headset 11 months ago, I just felt like giving it another go. After all, no way I cry twice at the same thing!
...Well, I got that wrong. Using VR to see another's reality is an eye-opener impossible to other platforms. No matter how many TV documentaries I watch, the dots of what I see and what I feel never connect. Not quite like they do here, anyway. From the heart breaking start to life of a man to his eventual finding refuge in gaming, presented in beautiful stylised animation and strung together by profound narration about the nature of reality - it makes for 20 minutes worth years! At heart, we are all so very similar. But without practice, we forget. That's why only the second time I experience this reality I come to give my thoughts.
Genuinely made me question reality. This experience is better than any I’ve ever experienced. Some people dislike it because it’s not interactive, but if you pay attention to the story… it is just fantastic. This game changed my perspective on the world. I know how pathetic that sounds, but it really did.
What is reality?. A question the experience makes you ask yourself. What is reality truly? Goliath, a man with schizophrenia, tells his story to the viewer in such a mind bending way. This is not a game, it's a documentary really. This is something I would recommend to anyone that wants something other than reality. Other than the hands that you use every day.

Bored to quitting... + 🪙Savings🪙. Just wasn't for me. Nothing to do, and the talking went on and on, and not in a convincing, compelling way. Was hoping for something engaging or interesting, or at least convincing, judging by the description of the premise to this experience, but it missed it's mark for me. Found myself playing with visual effects coming from my controllers while listening to the droan8ng of a script, written voice telling what sounded like a fake experience. But this is free, please feel free to give this a chance for yourself.

Alright. It it it was alright nothing to crazy nothing to bad ppl said they cried but to be honest it just didn't hit me like that you know like I wasn't really happy with this but I wasn't really mad about it either
It's alright. From the perspective of sharing Goliath's story and awareness about mental health, great, 5 stars. But as a VR experience? Well if it's your first, it's probably impressive, but beyond that.. simply underwhelming.
I kept waiting for a big moment. For something to happen. And then it was over. The narration is really at fault here because they build the game up like you're about to be transported out of body into another world, when really it's just some pretty colored blocks.
Honestly, unless you've got something very good to smoke, this isn't worth your 20 minutes.
