Boring. There’s a lot of things this game could do to be better, like it could become a pseudo fitness game, but it’s not because it seems like the developer stopped updating it. The main problem is that it’s just not fun. If you want a similar game that does it right, get Mother Gunship
Enemies need an explanation. There should be a bestiary or enemy somewhere in the game, as I have absolutely no idea what most enemies do, wherein I get killed by then immediately because their projectiles do something that I can't seem to dodge. I love the aesthetics and the combat feels fun, but there is a SEVERE lack of information ANYWHERE.
Controls Are AWFUL. I really want to like this game but when pulling the weapon out of the orb fails 80% of the time (the main mechanic you're supposed to be doing) it's unbelievable and unacceptable that this got past any kind of QA testing. Seen many other reviews with the same complaints
I have some ideas. I love the game but I have some ideas for weapons One idea that I really would like is a spell That travels between enemies if you shoot one The bullet would spread to the nearest. Everything about the game is perfect so keep up the good work.
Love the style, hate the Rogue. This could be so good. The graphics, style and music are great! I am not generally a fan of rogue likes, and while I've had a couple of recent counter examples. I either suck, or I missed something important in the intro, or this game needs difficulty settings. I played enough to see how I could get better, but losing all my progress each time was just too frustrating. I'm done and it's uninstalled.
A couple suggestions for future projects. It needs a better tutorial. I didn't even know where my health was for the first 30 minutes. It needs difficulty settings. In the early level (I don't know if the game changes later), the rogue like elements are meaningless. Just moving the planets around doesn't improve replayability without some progression path. It's just the same thing over and over and then you die.
I was really enjoying it for a while, though.
Update: OK, they do have difficulty levels. My mistake. I was playing on easy, so I guess I do suck at this game. That doesn't mean I shouldn't be able to enjoy it, though.
Broke my internet connection. First time was very fun no real issues but the 2nd time I logged in and it kept crashing I gave it over 10 try’s and it just kept crashing so I check my internet connection and it was excellent so I try some other apps and it said I did not have a connection so I can’t play my quest 2 anymore. After uninstalling it my internet connection was still broken. This. Game. Is. Horrible
Dont buy. I bought this for my kids and im not sure if there a bug because it doesn't seem to do much or play right. The pictures look great but from our experience its possibly the worst game I've ever played a total wast of money

Fun but annoying. Nice colorful universe, funny unique playstyle The rogue style game is annoying and frustrating. The boss checkpoint changes selected skills around so it is still not what it should be.. it is fun to play but putting it down for a longer time and getting into it again is a bit of a struggle to get used to the summoning movements etc. If the boss checkpoint gets fixed then I’d love to play it more, for now I unfortunately stopped playing after 2 or 3 weeks. 5 star rating would be for me; - fixed checkpoint that saves your setup - a better way of getting points that you can use to permanently upgrade your skills
Until You Fall」

In there process of reevaluating. This is actually a review after initially beating the game. Now that I've gotten through most of my back catalogue, I wanted to revisit the game and update the score. I'm leaving the old one up, because the game was already very solid at launch, so I expect that if the score changes, it will be from 4 to 5 stars. Back soon with a new review!
This is a crazy fun game, with a lot of great/well executed ideas; pulling, then casting the spells, or choosing your own path are just a couple of examples. What this game does, it does very well. The music is fantastic, the visuals match the theme of the game, casting spells for weapons is fun, addictive and adds to the strategy.
That said, it's over when it feels like it should only be starting. It feels like a first act for a really epic game. There are quite a few "different" enemy models, but some can be hard to distinguish in a pinch; which, when you're counting shots during some of the later portions, does matter. There are very few actual weapons/spells overall. In the end, the main choice you'll make for play style is if you want powerful single shots, or a shotgun blast spread. Everything else can be equipped in your load out. More variety would give the game longer legs, and hopefully it happens in a future content update.
I know some are saying the game is crazy hard; and at the beginning like all roguelites, it is, but it once you understand upgrades and the enemy patterns, the difficulty take a nosedive.
While it doesn't take the time to master that something like Until You Fall does, it's still lovingly made and loads of fun. Again, there just needs to be more of everything. I still enjoy it. I'm not upset with the purchase at all. Just don't expect something that feels fully fleshed out... ...yet. but if you like the genre, you'll have fun with this game.
Definitely a unique game in its niche. So when I say unique I mean it. This game definitely stand out as one that is different in an incredible way. The visuals are spectacular and the music is highly original. I'll admit I spent the first ten minutes trying to wrap my head around everything that was going on in the intro, but once I got my bearing I had a ton of fun with it.
It's got incredible potential as further development continues on it to become something that truly stands out in the niche and guides things for the better. The devs are very responsive on Discord and always looking for feedback on how to improve the game, something you don't always see. It's a shame this is an unknown gem on the Oculus Store as it's one that I truly think should be highlighted more often. Do yourself a favor and check this game out. You won't regret it.

Starts to grow on me.... Update:
You definitely need some time to get to know the gameplay, and it still can be quite frustrating at times but once you get the hang of it, it can get fun with all the extra updates on the spells and weapons you start to buy (although you kinda have to figure out yourself how the weapon /spell works in the battle itself, which is kinda weird) Definitely hope to see more updates and improvements in the near future.... Can only imagine it to get better with a stronger core. 1* extra!
I had my eye on this game, so with the discount I finally made the step .... Wasn't sure what to expect.... Yet another rogue - like game with limited progression. Already had a few games like these...."Until you fall" and "In death :Unchained" were good and fun. The game starts of good, it's not easy, and you really gotta learn how to handle the spells. But ok, after some rounds of concurring some planets, dying, starting over again, and again, and again.... I finally get to beat the first loooong boss fight. Excited to move on to the second system. And I'm happy with the latest update that saves part of your progress, cause otherwise I already would have deleted it from my device. But.... From the second universe on the difficulty level spikes immediately. The first system really doesn't prepare you for what's to come....frustration and repetitive gameplay. Ducking left, right, down...... It's almost like being an acrobat to dodge the firing shots. So for now, not sure if I really like the game. Will continue exploring and maybe after getting some upgrades on the spells it might get more fun. Definitely some points on the colorful worlds and the original approach..... But way to hard. Almost feels like a punishment for trying to have some fun in a game.
Massive Potential. The game is already really well fleshed out, well worth the current price. The casting mechanic is super intuitive and after a few minutes you can get pretty quick with it. The music is pretty fun too and it really adds to the experience. It has massive potential, but needs a few changes and some more content. It’s also really nice to see the devs updating it, support is always a bonus.
I have a few changes that could help improve it a bit: there should be a setting to keep the battle music playing constantly like a radio. I love the music, but I almost never get a chance to fully enjoy a track before I beat a level and I’d like to maintain the energetic pacing. There should also be a list of current spells or modifiers equiped when you pause the game, it wouldn’t really benefit much in game but it would help remember what you have during a run if you ever take a break. It would also be cool if there was a mode where you fight against waves of enemies and you obtain new spells over time as a sort of endless mode, though that’s a completely different play style. There’s also a few bugs that induce lag, such as any spells that attack automatically being multiplied repeatedly. The daemon has this problem sometimes. The sword spell also seems to be a little inconsistent on what counts as a hit, though I might just not be great with it. Other than that the game is pretty well optimized. It is very pleasing to the eyes and well thought out and super easy to sink a lot of time into. I’m excited to see what the devs do with it next!
Absolute blast. Love the silly upbeat soundtrack that thumps during the battles. Gameplay is definitely unique and alot of fun with its high energy. Only complaints I can think of is sense of progression is a little hard to figure out at first. But besides that I would definitely recommend!
Update 01/23/21
Progression is now alot more clear and stuff transfers over the next run
A gem of a title - don't miss this one. I first saw this game during Facebook connect and an uploadVR showcase. It popped back up on radar after the devs had pushed through an update allowing for checkpoints. Now there is even a timer for speed runs. Love the game! Glad I finally got a chance to try it.
My favorite thing about the game is the soundtrack actually. I have it on Spotify and listen to it often while working. Its pretty good for exercise and being active as well. The environments are lush and immersive and the art style funky and unique.
One day I hope there is an endless mode so I can groove out to increasing difficulties of the enemies, but even until then this game is definitely top of my list. Takes a tiny bit to get into and learn the mechanics, but once you do it's super satisfying. The sword is actually my favorite and slashing through enemies that way with the sword on the sky enemies is very unique. Boss fights are fun and engaging and there is a lot of depth.
Well done. Definitely one of my favorite VR games I've played so far. The game itself is super fun and very unique in that it differs a lot from your standard shooter games. The visuals and the music were done extremely well and give the game a lot of personality as you move through the different planets.
