I never liked fishing before now! After 15 min you will realize how relaxing and scenic fishing can be. This game is completely immersive and fun for adults who want to just chill and play a VR game with no motion sickness. Feel free to use my code to get 25% percent
Brilliant..but. Love the game paid for dlc I assumed all the new locations would be open obviously not..
Not everyone cares about grinding out putting in hours to unlock location's and places on leader boards some just like to dip in and out so to speak .. explore
How about an open mode for the non hardcore gamers out there who just want to fish n chill with all that Real VR Fishing offers from the get go...??
Thanks for response
THANK YOU FOR LISTENING AND GIVING MORE FREEDOM WITHIN YOUR GREAT GAME 😁
2023 and still addictive 4 years later. I purchased this game when I first got my Oculus Quest 1, and bought a game bundle to get me started on my VR adventure. Initially it was boring because I was playing on easy mode and made slow progress, not earning enough points to level up.
Then the multiplayer feature came along and it was an absolute riot! The community is wonderful, and kind strangers taught me how to play single handed on expert level, and I unlocked all the levels in 2 days.
The US West DLC is amazing because I’ve been to some of those places in real life, and living in Michigan, I can enjoy those realistic environments as much as I want. This game has had a positive impact on my mental health through the pandemic and beyond, and I hope someone reading this will take a chance on this game and find their happy place.
The developers are also very responsive. I see them helping people in the Facebook group. Join it and come say Hi!!
It's good. I must admit that I absolutely love the oculus system and this game, seem to be the perfect match. Fished a lot in my younger day's,this is a pretty darn good representation , graphics good a fully emersive experience , I'm only writing this review while I recharge the system then back to it. My high blood pressure is so much lower after an hour or so on this. Once you get the hang of it (doesn't take long) you will love it.
The BEST VR fishing experience on Quest. Save 25% on this game NOW with the link! https://www.oculus.com/referrals/link/the.scab.vendor/
Hands down the most immersive fishing experience on VR currently. A massive amount of fish to catch, lots of environments to visit and with all the DLC the game never gets old to me. The fishing mechanics are done very well, and offer several modes of difficulty to match the level of realism you want to play at. You have fish tanks you can customize and display your biggest catches, including a massive salt water tank in your virtual bedroom. I highly recommend this game to any fan of fishing games. It’s beautifully done, relaxing and just plain out fun.
Must Buy! 25% OFF IN DESCRIPTION. This game is the definition of a must buy game on the quest 2. The fishing mechanics are wonderful, and the fish look amazing when you catch them. There is even a fish tank to view the fish you have caught
This game has everything you want as is and yet the game devs are still hard at work updating this game further.
I just put on some music, relax, and fish. It is the few games I still play regularly after years of ownership. Then what are you waiting for? Just buy it, you won’t regret it!

Fishing and an Aquarium!!! 25% Off Code. I was surprised with the graphics and game play. I keep coming back to add fish to my aquarium, upgrade rods, reels, bait, and lures! The achievements keep the game moving. Can’t wait for the saltwater fish! The developers seem very active with updates. This is an easy recommendation!
Surprisingly enjoyable experience. Not a huge fan of fishing but I was genuinely impressed with this game. The graphics and game mechanics are extremely well done and the game provides hours of relaxing gameplay. Fish solo, with friends or random people by creating or joining public/private rooms.
You can fish in dozens of breathtaking fresh and salt water locations (on shore or from boats) throughout America, Korea and Japan catching fish common within those areas.
The developers actively communicate with their players via social media and are continually updating the game and creating fun challenges for players.
This is a great way to relax after a long day at work. You can fish alone or with friends.
Real VR Fishing is another one of those 'must have games' for the Quest.

My favorite game. I’ve been playing this game for a long time. I love it. I am disabled over 65 and a female. I play in my bed. The best thing that ever happened to me was oculus go headset snd this game. It changed my life. The challenge snd joy it has given me. Now I’m on oculus quest2 headset and it is very heavy. I found a lighter headset thanks to you tube.I love this Japan part so much the fish are easier to catch it maybe I’m better at it I can hardly wait for the next update This is my favorite game
You can smell the fish. I’m not a hard core real LIFE fisherman. With that said I agree with comments that say the game isn’t realistic. Yes, that’s true,, in this game you actually CATCH fish! The creators did, and continue, to do a great job, bringing not only a fun and, at times, challenging fishing experience to the table but also add many extras to the environment. If your eyes can drift away from your rod and reel you will note water fowl paddling about, hang gliders high in the sky, birds flying overhead, seals barking, deer and bears checking you out. To attempt to bring that sort of realism to the table requires a team of programmers and a good creative team striving to make the experience as real as possible.
Add the challenge of a shark intercepting your catch and you have the opportunity to land a really special catch.
The game has a pretty good tutorial series that helps you increase skills, which enable credits and skill points to add up more quickly. Better equipment enables better chances of landing larger fish.
One last note is the impressive scenery: complete with rain, snow, tree blossoms, lightning, and fog.
Love the game...But. I got this game last year & completed both maps. The new maps have been eagerly awaited FOR MONTHS and I'd rather have paid for a new DLC all together than have waited two weeks....for what? Two fish? You make all these new pretty maps for what? Two extra fish? Do you not see how bad that is for people who have literally nothing else to do on the game. We've waited 2 weeks.....for 2 extra fish. I can not see the point in playing this game anymore. There's NOTHING to spend coins on. 2 extra fish. I was on Two minutes and caught them both. And switched the game off instantly frustrated. You make these pretty maps, but it's sooooo boring. I'd have rather have paid for an entirely new DLC than be fobbed off with this two weeks of dangling a carrot for 2 weeks only to get on and the maps are much the same as the others.....The games boring with nothing else to do. I appreciate all the polishes that's been done, but...
Very frustrated and let down by this game
I'd also like to say how disappointing that we have to wait for salt water....and there's no new sharks. Again, if this is the case, I think there'll be a lot more negative reviews coming your way, purley based on the fact that it all feels much of the same and i think we all expected more to be fair.
Overall...The game is great, but it's completed really quickly, I'm max 300k creds with nothing to spend them on. I'm max XP. I've caught all fish. Got every achievement. Bought everything in the game . So there's nothing more to do...and this pains me because it's my favourite VR game.
The great bits... The graphics are stunning. The fish tune ups and other polishes were awesome! And it's as real as it gets in VR. If you haven't got this game already, you need this in your stash. I haven't heard anyone say they didn't like this game.
Please 🙏 can we have - a tank extension. For both tanks...I have no room for my new epics and rares in the freshwater. So giving us new fish without a tank extension is a bit naff. - New DLCs! please! With all new vibrant colourful fish! I'd love to see a Jurrasic DLC. Where we can catch a Meg and volcanic action in thebackground etc...wild, but I think it would be a nice twist to the game. And The Great Barrier Reef. Big beautiful colourful fish! - A Shark Bay Map, where you can catch nothing but shark species. This wouldn't go towards the leaderboard but could have a whole new separate competition for it. - Hammerheads, whale sharks, bull sharks...more sharks! - More things to buy. Maybe we can gift people things in the store. Or customizable things such as different colour rods, reels. Maybe even a new apartment with a yacht when the new DLC comes out. And we can sail to our new lodges ect. - New achievements - More levels
Great way to relax with beautiful views. I love this game. It's relaxing and the locations are spectacular.
My one complaint is, the free weekly awards (?) need to be something we can choose for ourselves. It's frustrating to see items that are worthless if the player is the 'wrong' gender. I have no use for girly clothes or hats.
The best!!! I could not even cast my rod, just sit there and enjoy the beautiful weather and fall asleep peacefully. The fishing is great! I really enjoy this game and recommend it to any nature person. Very impressed! Just hope that soon there will be more fishing places in the US area like in the Ozarks or Arkansas fishing!!! Make this happen please…
Best game by far. Great game!! its relaxing and beautiful I sometimes just sit and look around without even fishing I love the rainy spots. I do wish there was one with heavier rain and louder thunder lol I might never leave 😅 it is by far the best game I have. Thank you for your hard work 💜
Never thought I would like this so much! This game was an eye opener for me. Besides fishing trouts in the rivers of Aysen in Chile with my dad as a child, I never thought I would get to fish again, but I am having so much fun with RVRF. I love how it allows me to travel around the world and feel immersed in another place while relaxing catching some fish. Thanks for this great game!
Couldn’t believe my eyes! I couldn’t believe my eyes when I purchased this game! Absolutely mind blowing and so addictive! When they made the game online, it took it to another level! Can’t compliment this game enough! Well done to everyone who was involved in creating such a masterpiece! 👏👏
I don’t know if everyone understands how the friends bonding over a great fishing trip, chatting and actually taking time away from the real world is priceless! Bonding with friends is SOOOOO GREAT!! And no weather issues when planning fishing trips. 🤣 Keeps raining where I am so this is 100% the solution!
If I could possibly ask for this game could have haptic feedback included, that would take the game to another level! Imagine ever time the fish was biting, you would feel it in the vest? 😱🤯
Once again, best VR fishing game ever! Highly recommended! 👍
Stop charging us for content. Its seriously dumb that this game keeps coming out with paid dlc when there is so little to do. I cant even move around the beach or the boat and yet you want $8 dollars for a few new maps? Whats the point? I have more maps than I know what to do with already and the game hasnt had any meaningful updates since it came out. This is one of those games that is really fun until you realize how shallow the gameplay loop is which happens way too quickly. Not to mention, this developer has completely abandoned pc players. How about make another game if you want to charge more money instead of constantly expecting your extremely bored audience over and over again for the same stuff. You arent adding levels that have any depth or interest, every single level is the same thing, a stationary 360 degree photo, where you cant move, with some random animals thrown in or some cars off in the distance. This used to be my favorite game but now its just pathetic and I feel like the developer has taken advantage of its content starved community.
The ultimate relaxing game. I have a quest 2 since a year or 2 and im on a quest to find the ultimate relaxing game. And i found it! It's is so relaxing to go to your favorite map and watch YouTube while you fish. Also playing with friends is nice. If i could improve 2 things i would add an option to customize your rods. The gold rod is nice but i want to change it. Also it would be so great if you can watch YouTube together while you do multiplayer.
I will be playing this a lot in the future. Hopefully a west Europe expansion will be released. It will be great to fish on the Dutch Waddenzee or the Austrian Alps for example.
Summary: if you are hesitating to buy this game, stop. Go buy it and thank yourself later. If you don’t have an extra battery for your headset, buy one. If you don’t you will hate yourself because you will be addicted to playing this game and be mad when your battery makes you have to stop playing.
If you love to fish in real life, be prepared to spend just as much time on this game as you would fishing on the lake, river, ocean…wherever. Do not be surprised if you find yourself fishing at 2 am and don’t stop until your headset battery is nearly done🪫.
I am new to VR. I have had my oculus for about two months. I have had VR fishing for about two weeks now. I am the type of person who couldn’t justify spending $0.99 on a game on my phone or tablet. However, I liked this game so much after I purchased this game I IMMEDIATELY on the same day purchased all of the expansion packs. All. Of. Them.
The graphics on this game are crazy realistic. I cannot express this. It is crazy to me that I get the same excitement when a fish hits my line in this game as I do in real life. I cuss just as profusely when when A fish snaps my line or when I pull up a tiny fish that pulled like a big fish. I can easily see that I will continue to play this game even when I max out my levels and coins. It is so fun and relaxing. Well, except the fist time a shark steals your fish. You will jump out your seat then laugh at yourself for doing so. 🤣
Tips for newbies: -Join the official FB group and the fan page or any other social media platform for this game. The developers are very active in the group. Players will give you all kinds of tips that the game does not! -watch some YouTube videos for the same reason listed above -Join rooms! ( I was hesitant about this, but now I like it). Players are VERY helpful and most are nice. -I have a FitBit on my left arm and fish with my right. I had to keep trying to look at my Fitbit to see the time. The tutorial does not tell you that your watch on your gloves hand tells you the time as well as your battery life. 🤦🏾♀️ -fish one handed: your wrist will thank you -when fish are not biting, refresh your map.
👍🏾👍🏾Pros: - Though this game is incredibly realistic, it isn’t 100% like fishing IRL. I would say it is 95% similar. Sometimes your real fishing instincts will play against you. Play by the game rules, not by real life fishing rules. Practice and Learn the game rules and behaviors and you will thank yourself. -The graphics are amazing! You will find y-ourself fishing in the rain and wishing it would stop or being amazed that it feels like you are driving in a pontoon - you can tell the size of the fish by the vibrations in the controller. This is cool. - The developers at actively working on this game -I am Not competitive but I love the competitions here -you can listen o your own music or watch YouTube while fishing -you can fish sitting or standing and you don’t have to be online to play.
👎🏾👎🏾Cons: (my main cons are with the tutorial) This is why they got 4⭐️ -The tutorials tell you only the basics. Yes, it’s fun to learn by yourself, but at one point I was so frustrated at fish popping my line that I nearly gave up playing. 🤬❗️ Turns out I was missing “Snaps”. The tutorial does NOT adequately explain what snaps are. YouTube saved my life on this. - I have a FitBit on my left arm and fish with my right. I had to keep trying to look at my Fitbit to see the time. The tutorial does not tell you that your watch on your gloves hand tells you the time as well as your battery life. 🤦🏾♀️ -The “glare” off of the water in some of the fishing sites makes it hard as heck to see ripples or bubbles. Especially if it’s at night. This is so frustrating. -a clue was that a challenge fish could be found in “living waters”. I have no idea what living waters are. There are symbols on the different fishing spots, but none say “living waters”. I had to find out from other players where I could catch the challenge fish. Devs PLEASE update your tutorial.
Thank you to the developers. Can't believe I haven't reviewed this game. It's one of the best experiences on quest, even if real-life fishing isn't your thing. It certainly isn't mine.
Absolutely gorgeous locations, especially in the new Japan add-on, great surprises and fish so accurate I've actually identified them on TV because of this game. You'll love filling and refilling your tanks.
You can even use it for meditation if you're not feeling like fishing. While you can use both hands if you want, it offers one-handed fishing for people with less mobility or want a less physical experience.
But the best thing about Real VR is the ease of multiplayer. During the pandemic, it was like I was in the same room with my parents. It gave us time that otherwise would have been gone, and for that I thank the developers.
There are tons of updates keeping the game fresh, and now fun fishing events!
I only wish you could use your "money" to buy things for others. Also a "helper" mode where you could see what someone else in multiplayer is seeing if they're having trouble would be nice.
Try it, even if you think it's not for you...you may be surprised!
