Rock Mixtape for Grandma. Yes I am the savage grandma- at least according to my grandkids. Lol. I’ve always loved Beat Saber but this new Rock Mixtape made me fall in love all over again. I may only be able to play on hard level but at 60 years old I’m digging it. Recommending this to all those out there in a certain age group. Put down the tv remote and pick up your controllers!!!
Read this :). Listen! When buying or already playing Beat Saber, you can’t think that your a pro in hours or days! People like LSToast lol, or me, play this game for years or many months! So don’t get mad or write a bad review, just take your time and practice. I did that too, with about 300 hours play time :) Don’t quit the game if your not 1st in Multiplayer, noone can beat Spin Eternally Expert+ without any practice. So start easy first and then build up to harder levels. I know you can do it!
PS: When your thinking that Beat Saber Expert is hard, then your on the right way for sure :)
Best game in VR (Devs read too plz). Graphics - Really good Lag - Little to none Fun - Every moment of it Replayability - Hours every day Motion sickness - Literally nothing Frustration level - Moderate, sometimes it looks like you hit a block when you didn’t, and some levels are just so hard. Addiction level - Very High (It’s way too fun!!!) Pricing - Fair base pricing, packs could be cheaper because you could end up spending $50 for less levels than you get for free (packs are generally $3 + $1 per level) Age rating - I’d say it depends. Some songs do include swearing and other things. Some of the language is bleeped out, but a lot of it isn’t. But the actual gameplay can easily be all ages able to swing their arms. Comparison to other games - For me personally, this is the most worth it game in vr, and the only one I could play every day for hours. Even if you don’t like the look of the game at first (like I did) you almost definetly will end up liking it in the end. If you’re new to vr, start with this. It’s probably the highest quality game on the market.

For Devs: Beat Saber is easily the best game on the market! Thank you so much for making it! However, I feel that there are a couple things that would make the game even better: 1. Add an adjustable filter option - Maybe you could add a setting where you can adjust how much language and stuff you will hear in songs, like “all language,” “most language,” “less language,” and “no language.” 2. Make the packs just a bit cheaper - So if you look at the pricing of the packs, if you wanted to get the same amount of songs that you get from the base game (45 songs) from spending the lowest amount of money, you have to pay $60, (linkin park ($14 for 12 songs) + bts ($15 for 11 songs) + electronic mixtape ($13 for 10 songs) + skrillex ($11 for 8 songs) + panic at the disco ($7 for 4 songs). That means you are literally buying beat saber two times after the first just to get the same amount of songs. I think we can all see the problem there. 3. Do polls for future packs! If you want to keep your secrecy on what’s coming next, just keep the poll results secret. Just choose a few bands or whatever then let the public decide! Personally, I’m really looking forward to a possible coldplay pack or a second imagine dragons pack. 4. Make an unlockable difficulty - Master! - I’ve been playing beat saber long enough to where I’ve beaten over 60 expert+ levels, including most of the camellia levels. But what happens after I beat the rest? I could get a new pack, but then I would beat it in like a day and be done with it. If there was a difficulty where maybe you had to beat the same song on difficulties easy - expert+, then that would give me something to work for! Then when I do unlock it, I’ll have an insane level where it’ll take me a while to beat! And I mean like make these levels like camellia levels, because those levels are insanely frustrating yet insanely fun! 5. Add skins! Saber skins would be AWESOME in the game, like katanas or something like that. You could also add new background and trail skins too. And these could be unlockable through achievements or something. 6. Add more modifiers, and maybe modify the modifiers! - Some ideas are 1. Rather than having slower, faster, and super fast, have an adjustable percentage like you have in practice mode. 2. No arrows, in addition to dissapearing arrows. 3. Changing colors - Your colors slowly move around the color wheel, so you could start with the colors red and green, and end with blue and yellow or something. 4. Invisible Notes - where you can only see the arrow and not the rest of the block! 5. Flash notes - you can’t see the blocks until they are right in front of you. 6. No colors - both of your sabers are the same exact color, and you have to figure out which notes to hit with which saber. Hopefully these ideas will inspire some more sweet modifiers! 7. Add custom levels - we don’t NEED a level creator in vr, and I would think that it would be kinda hard to use, though it would be cool. But maybe make a thing where you can make levels on your computer, upload them somewhere, then download the file inside of beat saber. Probably the biggest feature I’m asking for, but (in my opinion at least) it would literally change the game from the best game in vr to one of the best games in existence period. They would literally have to add a feature to where you can rate this game 6 stars on the oculus app just because of how awesome that would be.
Thank you for everything devs! Even if none of these features get added, it’s still my favorite vr game, and you’re still all awesome!
Great Game! Tips for New Players Here:. This game is really fun and, in my opinion, one of, if not the best game on VR. Some things I have noticed when getting my friends into it is that: 1. People who have played other rhythm games or have watched people play BeatSaber on YouTube do far better than other people starting out, so if you find getting your first song done annoying, try watching it on YouTube, because it honestly seems to help. 2. I got the demo version first, which is a Normal difficulty of song (compared to most people that start on Easy) and that helped me to advance more quickly through the difficulties, so before getting it, I’d recommend getting that one free song first to help warm yourself up to it, because I could see it being frustrating to some people spending a lot of money on a game and not doing well at it at all. 3. If you need a very easy song to start with, either in the beginning of the game or while advancing to new difficulties, start with the song Beat Saber. Until Expert+, where it is the hardest song, I find it is the easiest song to get through. 4. If you’re looking for a challenge, try the Camellia pack and OST (Original Soundtrack) Vol 4/5. 5. The purchasable DLCs are almost always better mapped and better flowing than the OSTs, so if you have money to burn, definitely get those. 6. This probably sounds weird but I find that I do so much better when I just tune out on a map altogether. I just start thinking about something else and I just breeze right through the song. I didn’t realize this until I think Hard difficulty when the songs actually start to get a flow instead of just hitting blocks. 7. For me, FitBeat (Extras pack) and Burning Sands (OST Vol 3) are some of the best-mapped songs in the original maps. 8. I recommend playing with a wide stance in your legs so that you can lean out of the way of the lasers/walls/whatever people call them instead of stepping, which, when you have a smaller play space, quickly results in hitting something. Remember, only your head cannot go through the laser walls, because the headset doesn’t detect other parts of your body, besides your hands, which can go through but I prefer to avoid it because the vibration kills the controllers faster. My only suggestion would be to add a setting that disables vibration. 9. This took me forever to figure out, but proper form for Beat Saber that gives you the most points per hit is hit the block in the direction of the arrow and in the center of the block, and to use your wrists to deliver the hit, not your arms. The wrist flick motion is what gets you a higher point score, so use your wrists to deliver, and arms just get you to the hit.
One more thing: if you don’t like techno music, you probably won’t want this game, because most (if not all I’m not the best with music genres) of the songs are techno, but I’m pretty sure that can’t really change because you can’t really map other types of songs as well as techno. I just had to add this after seeing some negative reviews about how bad the music is. After reading more negative reviews, I’m also adding, yes, some of the songs are not as fun, but that does not mean AT ALL that you should not buy it, because there are still plenty of good songs, even if you haven’t heard of them.
New mixtape please. First of all. Love the game. Best vr game ever. Secondly, can we have a Metal Mixtape with like Ozzy, black Sabeth, Pantara, Van Halen and much more. I feel like it would satisfy all the metal fans that play beat saber. I feel like it would draw more attention to the game of it had all genres of music. The more types the better. And again great game and keep up the good work.
dont rush it. Ok so when i first started playing i wanted quit bc i sucked at it and tried to do hard first but i learned that you have to build up to it so start at easy practice easy then as you get better start doing normal then hard then expert then expert+ im ngl when i saw that preview video i was like oh hell nah but when i went into the actual game and realized it lets you chose modes so dont rush it take your time and if you get upset remember its just a game and you will eventually get it
Finally - something for the older crowd! I liked the game, but all of the music and DLC was for Millenials. Nothing really, for those of us born prior to 1980. And THEN. The Rock music DLC. UNBELIEVABLE!!! THRILLED is putting it mildly. Please continue this by including more 70's & 80's music, maybe even try some 60's, and COUNTRY!!!!!!
A game meant for mods. I have over 2000 hours in this game and it is easily one of the best games I’ve ever played hands down. THIS GAME IS AT BEST A FUN 10 HOURS WITHOUT MODS. But once you take the 20-30 minutes to figure out how to put mods on (yes you can mod on quest), the game opens up in ways I simply can’t describe. It’s like the main game is actually just the tutorial. There are levels that make ghost expert+ look like a cake walk. And they’re super fun. Stop reading reviews, buy the game, and install mods.

Good game (Better modded). it dose not matter if your gen z, gen x or millennial , suck up you have to mod the game and do it, its a one and done if you are ok being on older versions of beat saber, currently 1.25.1 is the current best version to mod for, get a pc (dose not need to be vr capable) and put mods onto the game, its the only way to get your 80s and 90s songs, beat saber is changing for the newer gen. gen alpha will love this game and so will older generations as long as its modded.
Modded beat saber gives custom songs (and AI generated too) custom sabers (if your on a version of modded beat saber that has the mod) weird but cool song and backgrounds.
When you play beat saber, strongly recommend modding the game, Without mods the game is a B-
grade with mods A++ or SS if you know that rank in the game

Here’s my review, I absolutely love this game. It was my first introduction to vr. I tried it at my cousins house on their quest 2 and I’ve loved it since then. This game has been one of my favorites in vr, I think it’s worth it’s price and very fun.
Love this game but.... I wish there was more of a variety of music. I like some of the albums but wish there was more rock options. Like Korn would be sick or slipknot... the drum beats, heck yeah! Breaking Benjamin! Out of left field, but you know what would be so amazing is Jamiroquai!!! Virtual insanity!! ❤️
READ BEFORE PURCHASING. Beat Saber is a fun musical rhythm game. The game is great for a quick workout or just breaking a sweat. Some songs include language, but you can look them up if you are unsure about them. Beat Saber has an online mode, which is AWESOME with friends or family. The songs are super fun and exciting to play, so enjoy this... BUT BEFORE PURCHASING, READ THIS NEXT PART;
Now, onto the BEST part: Modding. So if you have Sidequest installed onto your Quest 2/Pro, you can download an app called BMBF. If you do not have Sidequest installed follow these steps: 1. Get a PC or Laptop 2. Go to https://sidequestvr.com/ 3. Plug in your Quest into the laptop via a USB-C cable (the one included with the Quest works) 4. Click on “Get Sidequest” 5. Go to “Easy Installer” and click on whichever option is correct for your PC/Laptop 6. It should have downloaded to your Quest ________________________________________
If the steps did not work, then search a tutorial on YouTube for help.
Next, once you have installed SideQuest, search a video of how to mod BeatSaber using BMBF.
Where's the music?!! Firstly, I love this game. It's super fun, really good exercise and one of my funnest ways to destress. With that said,,,WHERE. IS. THE. MUSIC?!!! On a serious note, this has been an integral part of my workout routine, which has been nonexistent most of my life, and I'm afraid of losing interest and my gains. I'm 47 and finally getting into shape. Help a brotha out and get some monthly updates going please. 🙏 How about a 90s dancehall set, metal, Reggaeton, Classic Rock, Trap, or Michael Jackson, Prince, Metallica, Beyonce sets?,,, just to name a few. 🕺

Limited. I *LOVE* Beat Saber but I'm so shocked at how limited the library is and how there's no easy way to add songs without having to go through a 3rd party app to get custom songs. How can you stay competitive when you have the all the positives attributes of DDR/Stepmania and Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 and none of the music library???
Must add…. You need to add a fnaf music pack I have been waiting and waiting so I’m throwing it out there mostly songs from living tombstone
Secondly add custom sabers I’ve also been waiting to see if these would come out.
Lastly, mods. Mods that are built in to the game, mods that can change the game itself, ultimate mods that you don’t need a pc for, built. In. Im not talking make your game faster or quicker I’m talking pc mods but built in I really want custom levels. Make it happen please.

Need more music for older generations. There's only a few songs for us gen X's, Linkin Park, 1 limp Bizkit song but lizzo? Billie eilish? C'mon I wanna keep playing but the few songs are getting played out. We need some 80s, 90s, maybe some ac/dc or Metallica. I know it costs money but spend money to make money I'd pay
Won’t install on quest 2 anymore. I played it a couple months ago with no problems but I uninstalled it to create more room for more games but recently I decided to delete some other game to create 100gb free so when I tried to install beat saber it gets to 100 percent and looks like it’s about to finish but then it just says “install game” right after it’s done downloading. What should I do I tried resetting my quest I tried downloading it on my friends account but it just won’t download.
Tips from a pro. I have been playing be for several years and beat saber was my first game ever. You might want these tips if you haven’t beat your first expert+.
1. It’s all in the wrists. Don’t stiff arm it if you want to get good then your going to need to mostly need to rely on your wrists to do the work
2. Don’t be paranoid. If you can get a large space then great but if you have a smaller area and you make sure you can’t hit stuff DONT BE PARANOID it will be one of your biggest downfalls.
3. You need to play for a long time. Don’t think you’ll be a pro within the first week or even the first week or month just be patient get better and make it second natural.
4. Do less hard levels first. Do a level that is less challenging then the one you want beat but still a challenge and slowly build up to the level you want to beat (I used this trick to beat ghost X+)
