trap into the cockpit of a high-tech helicopter and soar through a vast desert in this thrilling VR adventure. Your mission: navigate treacherous terrain to rescue prisoners of war, destroy enemy radar stations, and dominate the skies. But the action doesn’t stop in the air—step out of your heli to engage in intense ground combat, clearing enemy outposts or securing objectives on foot. For sharpshooters, test your skills at the shooting range and compete to set the ultimate high score.
In this alpha release, experience dynamic, objective-based gameplay that challenges your piloting precision, combat prowess, and strategic thinking. Fly through canyons, evade enemy fire, and execute daring POW extractions under pressure, all while battling the desert’s shifting sands. On the ground, face off against hostile forces in immersive firefights, adding a new layer of intensity to your missions.
As an early access title, this is just the start. Look forward to a growing roster of missions, expanded environments, and exciting new features in future updates. Whether you’re raining destruction from above, fighting on foot, or aiming for the top of the shooting range leaderboards, this VR helicopter game delivers an adrenaline-pumping experience that puts you in the heart of the action!
Fun. Its fun, this game has major potential.. cant wait for the updates and everything. Add enemy vehicles tht they drive around in and can shoot at you. Add different weapons you can carry and make the AI smarter and a little more aggressive.
There are a couple of the same issue. Edited for the developer: I would get a picture for you but I do not have the time it takes to get Meta files to send a lot of the time. The center is an issue in the tutorial and I am not low enough when entering the chopper in the main game, my head sticks out of the cockpit. This game is absolutely fun but I would like to switch sides that tilt the chopper or turn it. I would advise to have a skip tutorial option to evade bad reviews. The ground combat needs work, it is not enjoyable yet as no matter what cover I take I will get hit and end up back at the base. I hate leaving bad reviews but I keep running into games that are more harmful to VR being released too early. This has a lot of potential and it already has a pretty large map so far and has a Soviet strike vibe.
Thunder struck. Desert Thunder is a must for flying fans, not many if any helicopter games, this one is early access, graphically not the greatest but the dev builds his game around these kind of graphics.Get past the tutorial and you are set free.Hoping to see more updates to the game, but for now it’s really ok and a good price.
Action in the skies. Once you get through the tutorial the game opens up and is ok. The helicopter does take some getting used to despite really basic controls and I do like firing the missiles and guns. It is early release but I can see what the dev is doing and where they want to go and look forward to it as it updates over time. I did get a little queasy so you may need some VR legs for this one.
Heli Fun. Early access… needs work, but has good stuff here to develop and build around.I did have an issue though, where my head was in the rotor blades… I couldn’t adjust position in game, could t select seating.. although if seating you would think I’d be lower and not higher.I tried the height adjustment in the accessibility options on quest 3, but made it worse. But with the above issue, I was still able to fly around, destroy enemies, fly through the hoops ect… I like how the copter handles, targeting is a bit unusually though… need a LOS target reticule, so I know where I’m looking for the guns to aim.AI would be better if improved and was evasive while targeting you.Graphics are like a polygon style, they are ok.With some of the planned additions and improvements, I’d like to then try it again to see if it would be a recommended purchase.
