Even learnable for non gamers!! I'm not a normal gamer. I haven't had a console In decades. This games controllers are easy to get used to and not complicated, but the game, amazing! Some of the other games seem to confuse me easily, this one doesn't. And it is so much fun, and so realistic. You actually get satisfaction feeling and seeing the shots. Don't get me wrong, it isn't easy, but you can go at your own pace, but very challenging, and never ending. It's not a 4 or 5 hour game. Meta informed me that I played it almost 250 hours last year, and I missed a lot of days! Super challenging and super fun, try it, the worst that can happen is you return it.
One of the top VR Games of all time ! This game is old, but so good ! This game still gets mentioned in top VR game lists. There are a lot of bow and arrow games, but from the many that I have played, In Death is the king ! It's so satisfying nailing head shots from yards away ! The powerups make this game more fun and challenging. Every time you unlock a new skill/arrow/ability, you also unlock a new enemy. This game also offers you to be able to play for a round or two to unstress and be done. I love games like this one, in which you can replay over and over again, giving you a lot of bang for your buck ! Every time you start a level, the level is arranged randomly. This keeps the game freshly running, never giving you a dull moment !
Favorite game. This is the one game that doesn't get boring after playing for a few years, so it's really hard to pull myself away to play my other (neglected) games. As someone with disabilities I like how there are plenty of options to take it easy on bad days and get my heart rate going on good days.
My favorite VR game. Even when you suck at it it's fun to play. By the time you get better at it, it's too late. You're hooked! There's always something you need/want to start a new run for: that achievement you are still missing, a sigil high score you want to beat, that boss fight you want to perfect, ... You always come back for some headshots (that sound is addictive).
My daily go two game for two years now. I buy a lot of Meta games but I also get bored with them quickly. Death Unchained is the only game I’ve consistently played for over 2 years now. It’s exactly the type of game I like. The only thing I wish they’d do is offer a multiplayer aspect. Regardless, I can’t get enough of it. I wish it got more attention and promotion from the Meta Store. So many people I know have never heard of it.
Just awesome! This is one of those rare gems that even though I suck at it. I still love playing it. I can’t blame the game for my short comings because the controls are spot on. I’m just not good at the bosses. If any change, I would add and easier option for people like me that want to see the whole game.
Thrilling Fun Game. This is my favorite game. At first, you’re just trying to survive, but then as you get more comfortable with the bow, you start going for headshots to earn more points. The specialized arrows are really cool too - fire, frost, explosion, slow, etc. I love the variety of the enemies too. I also love the further you pull the bow, the more power and further the arrow will shoot. Get this game and you will not be disappointed.
Stunning! When this game came out in 2020, I saw it was one of the rare games which did not have the cartoon look that seems aimed at 8 year olds or so. When I got my Quest2 in that year this was one of the first games I got. It has never disappointed me, although I spent many many hours playing, the generated environment ensures every game is new. I suck at it never coming past the first boss, but even so I keep playing, in contrast to puzzler games like Room VR, Red Matter2and the 7th guest; all beautiful games, but once you reach the end - that’s it! Regular updates have improved the game and made it even more beautiful… but then the Quest3 update game and …. Wow! A Beautiful game turned even better, to the point we’re I got distracted from playing the game and got killed early as a result! The light from the stained glass windows reminds me of a visit to the Sacrada Familia church in Barcelona. Keep up the good work, as I will keep trying to get past Anakin and into the Pits…
Amazingly addictive. I’m not a fan of archery games and glanced over this for several months. Finally gave in to temptation and purchased it - played it every day since.
Once you get the hang of it, which doesn’t take too long, it’s incredibly satisfying clearing the different levels. Well worth the price.
Beautiful pure horrific beauty. This game is absolutely amazing The movement system with the teleport arrow kind of annoyed me at first but as it becomes more of a game mechanic and not a VR mechanic it opens up so many more possibilities for how to play. I also really enjoy the way the achievements make the game more difficult and more fun

Amazing and addicting game. I have completed all bosses and made it through to Abyss II before dying after playing for a couple of months. The difficulty adjusts to your skill level, so it always provides a challenging experience. For those struggling, I have 3 tips:
1) Try holding your bow horizontally this'll make your aiming much easier.
2) Play Siege of Heaven to practice and improve your aim and timing.
3) Use Cataclysm (explosive arrows) for all bosses and go for headshots this makes their difficulty almost trivial, they also decimate Asmodeus' weak points in a single hit.
Overall, it's an amazing 5 star game well worth the buy. No matter what, you will find yourself going back to play more.
Need DLC - new worlds. I believe many would pay for DLC's that add new world, new experiences. Once you've played this enough, it becomes repetitive with little new exploration or challenge. Developers, please offer new downloadable content (NOT just new short competitions). Adding new worlds to defeat would be welcomes and purchased.
Amazing game! This is a great game with no motion sickness. Would definitely recommend this. But please, please make this a Co-op game. It's the only thing missing. Would be great to play with a mate!
Update:.... I'd also say,..for those of us who aren't hardcore gamers it would be nice to have the option to reach stages rather than starting all over again when you die. I don't think I'll ever get past stage 2 and now it just gets boring so now I don't really play it that much any more as it becomes so repetitive having to started all over again each time you die.
Update: please please please give an option to save the game at a certain point when you die so you can pick up where you left off...I can't be bothered started all over again each time....I never get past round two but can't be bothered playing through round one which is easy... Otherwise it's boring and too time consuming to start all over again each time.
Awesome execution on a bow and arrow RPG. Was looking for a fun bow and arrow game and this delivers on everything. The controls are smooth and intuitive. Multiple game modes and unlockables have you coming back for more. This jumped to the top of my favorite games on quest 2 immediately.
