A hard hitting mech game. Best mech game I ever played. Makes good use of VR. Interesting and lengthy campaign.
Interacting with the characters of the story on foot, as well as doing small quests is a great way of contrasting the weighty and brutal mech gameplay.
Great game but. Great game and very well balanced except for one thing in my honest opinion the skyjackers(speed triggered anti air weapons) do not have any counterplay that does not give an advantage the veteran players will say just shutdown and drift through them which would be neutral counterplay except for the fact that when shutdown you cannot use your jets locking you into a trajectory that said veteran players will have a relatively easy time leading not to mention the fact that overall they slow the gameplay down to a crawl where you can't even enjoy the nuanced physics engine that when mastered allows even the heaviest mech(grinder) leap across the map kinda a shame that if someone decides that they are tired of getting danced around by the lighter mechs and want to slow down the gameplay for everyone and say you do not get to enjoy literally half of the gameplay I.E movement just because they don't want to get into a lighter mech themselves which in my opinion is just the same as them saying get into a heavier mech well what if I want to play a light mech well too bad they have the tools to force a gameplay shift but there are no tools to fight against them other than sitting on a cliff somewhere with snipers and hoping that you can kill them before they pin you so their mobile friends can come kill you when a single person can oppress the entire lobby that in my opinion is an issue
