WOW. (Buyer Beware). Like all my other reviews I will go into detail. I will say that this game is the lowest review I have ever given and I encourage all potential buyers to read this review before purchase. In short do not waste money on this game. This game is pre Alpha at best and is one of many games that will promise many things and deliver nothing ( Tabor unplayable on stand alone quest 2, vail no player base, and alvo great for three years ago nothing really new and just a money grab). I mean it when I say they took every bad aspect of the above games and threw them in a game and charged for it and it is not even playable as an alpha. If you want to waste $18 bucks and feel like a schmuck by all means buy the game.
Visuals: I will say this I am easy to please visually and this game is pretty. 5 stars.
Gameplay: this is a paid game devs. I don’t care how long you developed this game, but what you have put out for paid content truly is disgusting. Something as simple as grabbing your gun feels more like rolling the dice in a dnd match. Players are stuck just hoping they can grab the front of the gun with their lead hand instead of just watching your fingers pass through the front part of the weapon. I found it much easier to give up on using two hand wilds and just shooting the gun one handed. Simple things such as sprinting or crouching is not easily recognizable. Crouching in real life or within the game looks the same as standing no noticeable difference. Aiming the weapon is like rolling the dice as well. More times than not the weapons have fake collision in open spaces or shoulders on the left shoulder while I have my hands positioned on my right shoulder. I often try not to attack devs for making games, but you lot put this on app lab and charged for it. This gets zero stars. I have never played a vr game and felt that it was so horrible that I wasted 15 minutes of my time.
Sound: the sound is okay. Nothing special here three stars
Immersion: The only immersion present is that I am focused on trying to focus on getting this game to actually be playable. Zero stars
Very polished, but.. Overall, it's a pretty solid game with a bright future. The visuals are some of the most polished I've seen on the quest. The gameplay is fast paced and a lot of fun.
My one gripe, which is a big one, is the control mechanics. While VR shooters typically go the route of increasing immersion by having everything manually controlled (reloading, changing your weapons, etc), this game seems to be taking an approach of blending console with VR controls giving it more of a fast paced arcade feel. Reloading, changing weapons (even pulling out a grenade) is all controlled by using buttons. Personally, I don't like it and hope that they eventually add actual manual mechanics.
Oh, and there's a vignette effect that keeps popping up and was driving me kinda nuts. I wasnt able to locate a settings section to disable it so either I'm looking in the wrong place, or they just dont have it.
Really impressive so far. For a game at such an early stage, this game has the foundations to be excellent.
Graphically it's fantastic, the players look great and the physics when they are hit are realistic. Some of the environments look very good as well.
When you get a headshot or a kill streak your points come up in a similar way to call of duty and the music in tandem with this makes you feel good about yourself.
The gun accuracy and feel are very good and there's this bobbing action when you run that I really like. It all feels realistic, far more than the typical shooter.
As this has just got to the point where players can start using it, there's updates that need to be implemented.
I've spoken to the developer on their discord and they have provided a plan for future updates, which if they fulfill will make this a top tier shooter.
Currently the following things are holding it back:
No smooth turning Occasional tracking issues Ocasssion sprint not registering No full reload, currently there's a inbetween where the maagazine appears and you guide it in.
Looking forward to playing more and I would encourage everybody to play the free trial on offer!
Very good with solid potential. I really like this. It's fast paced. The guns look great. The shooting is pretty solid and accurate. The avatars look good. The reloading is a little clunky but I'm guessing that will be refined and smoothed out with updates. I'm not sure how to melee attack but others have hit me with melee so I know there's a way. No tutorials and no offline games so you have to figure it out for yourself in the action. Switching weapons is done with buttons not by grabbing things on your person which is a HUGE mistep in a VR game imo. Maybe have that as an option but I play in VR because I want to be immersed and feel like. I'm somewhere other than my living room so obviously interaction with my inventory is a big part of that immersion. I'd also enjoy some weapon attachmwnrs for my guns. Maybe some weapon charms. But the game runs super smooth. That's it's best quality.
Looks good plays weird. Its actually 3 Stars but i give 4 because it has great potential. Grafik looks good and sharp. Guns look way too big Guns are to high they are above where you hold your controllers please fixe or make a slider to adjust Only Snap Turn Reloading is a pain... When you kill players big signs plop out right in your view so you cant see anything while the action continues Cant turn music off Game needs much work but its nice gameplay and fast paced with much Weapons and stuff to level up. Game needs bigger player base as well
