Big Ugly Robots. Fighting big ugly robots in my living room is the best mixed reality so far. Yes, this is a rhythm game. Some reviewers complain about this. To me, this is the best part. And did I say it's a sweat-worthy workout?
Love it! For the very first time I have a physical fighting game and don't need to be afraid to accidentally smash the Controller into Walls or closets. The oppenents are super nicely integrated into my room and after a few Fights I am completely breathless.
Don't know what it looks like in a few weeks but by now I am absolutely excited and it's totally what I was looking for for a long time
Terrible. Really hate this one. I feel like I am being force fed mixes reality by this game, and Meta in general. I can't find a setting to turn down the music. Basically I would like the opposite of this, a visual environment (why I got a VR headset) without the music so I can play my own music in the room.
The fighting is not well executed, matches are short, and I feel like its just blocking a few punches until the magic knockout target comes up. I can't think of any reason I would open this X-Fighter app over any of the other fighters I've been using for years.
Very promising VR Fitness game. Good/Pros : . “Mixed reality” mode (which is in fact augmented reality) allows you to play in a small area without hitting your furniture, it is a very good point for this kind of game ; . Each bot has its own “strategy”, it teach you to “know your enemy” (but maybe needs to be enhanced, see “cons” below) ; . The musics are really good and it is made to allow you to use/add your own ;
Cons : . There are still some things I don’t understand, even after reading the 3 tutorials ; . You easy find out the strategy of your opponent and use it to hit in the right place : some require uppercuts to lower their defense then get some hooks ; some just want to be hit as fast as you can, etc… a more random behavior may make it less repetitive and more challenging… . No levels : maybe adding “easy,normal,expert” levels could help users not used to combat games to improve themselves. . No LIV support (I use to make mvr videos on YouTube @diego-vr)
Conclusion : it is a very promising cardio training game. I recommend it not yet as a combat game but as a vr-fitness one.

B I T , L Y / X F I G H T

Where is the FIGHT in X-Fighter?. Took me a bit to realize (though other reviews alluded to this) that anything you do has no real effect on the cyborgs. It's all just a timed experience which really detracts from my motivation to punch them and takes away from my overall enjoyment. You can just stand there and get hit (invincible) and eventually they will disappear on their own. I hope the devs will one day add a "combat mode" or something along those lines as visually this game is amazing, the cyborg moves are varied and very fun to block and dodge (despite having no motivation to do so) and I love that I can add my own music. Just won't be playing very much until they've added a combat mode.
Still... worth full price. Or get it 25prcnt cheaper (the comma is a dot):
