What a load of bs. I don't remember signing up for this subscription and I can't get my $30 back?
You guys suck.
This app is pretty lacking.
I'll admit I've seen 3 of your worthless lessons and spent a ttl of 20 minutes checking out the app. But how did I sign up to give $30 for a free trial to see if you're worth a grain?
If you were worth your salt, would you have to force ppl to cancel the free trial in order to avoid automatic sign up for a yr subscription? Prob nots. You would ask them if they would like to continue, but we both know nobody would, because there is nothing noteworthy to gain.
I feel like a loser now. I could have spent that and learned to sail on Marineverse or assassinated mf's on nexus.
Instructive and engaging way of learning. This app is a must to try. It’s good to find content like this to put on practice my soft skills in a different format than I normally do at work. The app looks beautifully designed and it’s easy to fully immerse in the experience.
Really Interesting. The experience was really interesting and opens the mind up to what is possible, the way learning should happen. Seems much better than 2D formats. I'm keen to experience more. Is this available in schools?
Definitely worth trying. I’m excited to see an app here focused on teaching people to have better conversations. Visuals are really beautiful and I’m intrigued to see what material they add to the app down the road.
No demo? No stars. For a subscription based app, it’s bizarre that there is no demo version or free lesson to try this out. An “introduction” with no real content is not sufficient. How am I supposed to assess this app? Forcing the user to first subscribe for a “free” introductory period with monthly charges I have to opt out of is unacceptable. Add a real demo lesson and I’ll change my rating.
Looks interesting. I think this can be a great help for some people. Looking forward to really trying it out but I just hate when they slide in payment. Just say it's what it is at the beginning. $30 a year. And I definitely will pay when I'm in the market to buy a new game. But I'm not gonna be blindsided with a 1 year subscription. At least ya get the 14 day trial But I wasn't clear on how to cancel it if you did not want it once i'm sure on that I definitely will activate
Unique learning app. Really interesting app! I’ve played other learning apps before, most of them to learn languages. But have never seen one for developing soft skills. The concept is really unique and it’s something that I think is really needed in today’s world. I’m currently playing through the lessons in the 2 week trial. We’ll see if it’s worth the subscription.
Interesting way to learn. 4.5 / 5 but rounding up b/c I haven't seen anything like this before: learning and practicing professional skills in VR. As someone who nerds out on ongoing learning for career / personal development, this is substantially more fun than an online course. Graphics are good, the situations feel pretty real (even challenging, and I think I have a decent EQ). Looking forward to taking more lessons. I did get a little lost navigating the app a couple times but nothing terrible, always found my way back to where I wanted to be. So overall: unique, worth it for me / my interests, and looking forward to seeing what other lessons are "coming soon."
Develop your soft skills. This app falls well short of what it could be.
It was Albert Mehrabian, a researcher of body language, who first broke down the components of a face-to-face conversation. He found that communication is 55% nonverbal, 38% vocal, and 7% words only.
This app labours over minescule variations in sentences as if the characters are little snowflakes that are going to get butthurt because their precious feelings weren’t addressed in every sentence.
There are apps like this that analyze your speech its intonations and inflections and even your body language, thats cutting edge. Talespin is so bloated and unnecessarily long winded that they wasted all of their development making this elaborate system and its ultimately not a very good heuristic of performance.
Kind of invested in this coffee company now, Im treating this as a game rather than a serious tool. Its not all bad though the roleplay with Miguel at the start was spot on, that was quite thought provoking.
You get 1 star for making me sign up for a years subscription just to find out 10 minutes into the app and completing the 1st module that this app is not for me. Save everyone some time and let people play the 1st module. Its kind of arrogant to force folk to sign up and verify with their bank just to try your app out.
No way to refund if missed deadline. The app itself is actually quite good (hence the 2nd star) but be wary, if you miss the cut off point for the trial you cannot get your money back! I was literally cancelling the trial this morning (I set a reminder on my phone) it charged me for the annual subscription. Since it is an in app purchase Meta cannot refund this and having to contact them directly, they are very unwilling to give a refund. Very clever to get money out of people and I know you will say should have cancelled it sooner etc and I agree and wish I did. Now £22.99 out of pocket for an app I won’t use ever again. You have been warned.
Awesome emotionally realistic experience. This app looks beautiful aesthetically and really draws you in. I think the simulated conversations with the virtual characters are realistic and very helpful for practicing conversations. I could see this being used to practice both more professional and casual social situations.
Engaging, fun, informative! The interaction with virtual humans is so engaging and the variety in environments and stories make me want to try it again. This is what learning should feel like! A game!
Engaging immersive learning for all! Beautiful immersive learning products with next level engagement, and effectiveness. Instead of passively absorbing information by traditional means, I am an active participant in the experience. This immersive in experience approach is game changing! I am excited to see the upcoming content in the lobby!
