Game is not ready, updated july 2025. I was very interested in this game, the visuals looked good. I bought the game on the first day of release. But there is too much wrong with this game. The performance is not good enough, and the controls sometimes leave much to be desired. For example, I have to swing over a gap with a short rope and then grab a fence as a ceiling, so that I can climb further. I have tried it countless times, but I always fall down. Some challenge is welcome, but in my opinion this is absurdly difficult and makes me hate the game. I almost requested a refund. The game developer has released a roadmap for optimizing the game. In my opinion, that is putting the cart before the horse. Better make sure a game is finished, otherwise you can better plan the release a few months in the future. As a result, I have had a bad experience so far, and I refuse to continue playing this game until it will be more playable. This is a great shame.Update july 2, 2025: The game is patched, I can see that. The performance is a little bit better, but I think it is not enough, sorry. I will see what is happening in the near future.Update july 6, 2025: I have tried the game a little bit longer. The mechanics of the gameplay are not good enough in my opinion. The fighting is still a real disaster. I have removed the game from my Quest. I loose my money, because I don’t think I will play this game again. I think I had requested my money back when I could. But it is too late for that. A bummer, because I wanted to give the game another chance. I will never do that again. I think the developer wanted to bring a interesting game, but it is not playable for me.
Fun Game but disappointing bugs. This game is good, the concept, the problem solving and visuals. I have completed several puzzles but for some reason it doesn't recognize the completion. The hydrostation is completed, but the power lever doesn't work, To continue with the wardenclyffe with Tesla. The Woodrock port a john doesn't appear on the landing to free Jimmy. I'm stuck. I can't move forward. The Nazi gun fight, no bullets come out of the machine gun. So frustrating. Is there another patch coming up? Meanwhile I can't complete missions.
Wanderer why? I bought it. Im sorry to write this but its bad,i like the consept and for the most part it looks good but gameplay is annoying as hell,updates by the way is 10 gig? This happens everytime you update games on quest it installs the whole game again? Take my advice save your money, thank me later.
Underrated. Severely underrated game. I did admittedly get stuck near the end of the game because of a glitch, but hoping that the new patch dropped will have fixed that. Giving 5 stars because I definitely still got my money's worth and glad to see this port hasn't been abandoned by devs.Edit/response to devs: no it wasn't the hydro station, it was a fair bit past that. I don't want to spoil it for people but let's just say I did a whole lot of shooting, went up the stairs, rode a platform to make some quick adjustments, came back down and then flipped a lever and nothing happened. Every time I go back same thing happens. It will be fun to replay the game though with the quest 3 improvements and I'll see if the issue is still there.
High Expectations. I really had high expectations for this game, having waited for almost a year.Unfortunately, reality did hit me hard.First, the story line is interesting and does keep you going. But it ends there.Execution is so flawed that it simply destroys the core fabric of the game.From stupid enemies (to a level not seen this century), to performance issues, to memory leaks, to crashes, to subpar models and textures, it’s basically a textbook of what not to do. Play mechanic is clumsy and fighting, bad beyond belief.After playing games like Red Matter 1 and 2 or Batman Arkham Shadows, one understands the issue is not the Quest 3.The game is clearly a brute port to the Quest 3, without the optimizations it deserves. It’s terribly unfortunate, especially at this price.I hate to say this but, keep your hard earned money for another more decent game. It’s just not enjoyable even if the idea behind it is solid.This review was written after the 1.2 update which is actually less stable than the previous one. Go figure. ADDENDUM - Version 1.2 is plagued by crashes due to memory issues, something that never happened with previous releases.UPDATE 09/2025 - The developers left me a comment inviting me to try their latest release that contains significant improvements in the areas I covered. First, I am thankful that they took some of their time to reach me. Second, I will gladly give the game another spin to evaluate the improvements. I will update my evaluation accordingly.

Incredible fun and mix of genres. I’ll be honest—my first experience with this game was rough. The initial release was plagued with glitches: frequent crashes, getting stuck in walls, and having to restart the app often. At one point, my hand got stuck in an object and I couldn’t free it without resetting. After about three hours of gameplay, I found myself locked out of the Sanctuary and stuck in a strange limbo space. The only solution was to uninstall and reinstall the game.But after that reset? It was incredible. The game completely turned around. The puzzles are clever and engaging, the world is immersive, and the experience overall is one of the best I’ve had in VR. Once it worked properly, I was hooked.Despite the rocky start, I highly recommend Wanderer: Fragments of Fate. It’s a must-play—just be patient through any early bugs.

Unfortunate. Like everyone says the concept and mechanics of this game is 5 star bugs make it 1 star I’m currently stuck at the hydro station/tesla level and I can’t move forward even though I completed everything to earn a green light and tesla says there’s no power when there is. Developers please make a patch so we can play what we paid $50 for and also don’t have an email if you’re not going to respond to your customers
