• Best Quest VR Chess.
  This VR chess title for the Meta Quest headset is a great game. It's the best chess game in virtual reality, and it checks all the boxes for what a basic VR chess game needs. It adds some visuals and features that really make the most of the immersion that VR offers, putting you right into the game. The defining feature of this title is the ability to be on the chessboard in a first-person perspective, watching the animations of the individual chess pieces take place. This is what makes it different from any other chess game and is the main reason to get this game.The sound is adequate—it gets the job done. The graphics, however, could have been a bit better and were probably the most underwhelming part of the game. Still, this is a minor complaint, as the game offers a lot of other options, including various pieces and environments to play in. It also has a 2D view of the chessboard that comes in handy when you are in first-person view.You're playing chess, so the teleportation movement is fine, and it gives you a great look at the board from multiple angles. The freedom of motion is there, and overall, the game does a great job of bringing chess to VR.If you love chess and have a Quest headset, I would highly recommend this game. While I feel like there are a few things they could have fleshed out more, there’s no reason not to buy this game if you're a fan of the genre.

• Merlin is Back in the Game - VR Style.
  Merlin’s Chess simply makes the game of chess fun and exciting again. I found Merlin’s Chess extremely intuitive, easy to navigate via its menuing layout, and super fun to play in its immersive VR-based 3D environment.The game leaves little guesswork as to how to setup and customize its unique chess battlefield. I had the choice to control my chess pieces using my controllers, voice commands, or a combination of the two. Players can compete against an AI opponent or an actual human. The AI option has 6 levels (1-6 - level 1 is super AI forgiving) of “difficulty” to choose from, while human opponents are as challenging as their chess prowess offers. I was able to play with random chess players all over the world, with friends only, and in either ranked or unranked (casual) matches. Unique and in-depth game environmental customization options are one of the main components that really caught my attention to this specific game versus other available games. You can choose timers for game-play duration, each players turn, and a time setting to “undo” your move if you make a bad choice. I found all of these settings very easy to customize. Players can choose the standard chess game playfield or you can choose to watch the pieces battle one another each turn. You can also choose to show the previous move of your opponent. I like the ability to choose the backdrop “arena” setting I played in and the background music on/off choice.In short, I really like this game. I hadn’t played chess in a while and felt a little nervous playing against either AI or another live person. I found both to be very forgiving.

• Throw your chess board out!
  Merlin's Chess is a very competent vr chess game. It features crossplay with a chess website too, so you can play with virtually anybody. I encountered very few glitches, and the visuals were very engaging. This game is made by a small team, but it stands with some of the great computer chess games from my childhood.A few things could be improved in my opinion. The lack of adjustable options (especially mid match) is really frustrating. In particular, being forced to use teleport locomotion in 2025 is a hard ask. The lack of a mixed reality mode is also really noticeable. Despite my complaints, I've had a lot of fun with this. Lately, I've even been choosing it over demeo when I want that quick board game fix. I really love having vr board games with no set up or clean up process. It really feels like the future.

  These is my Seconde Review.After a Update now you csn play vs human players with the direkt connection with chesscom. NOw you find every time an oponent. So i can recoment these App you can Player vs human vs Airlines and the atmosphäre and Environment Arena very buiteful.

  If you’ve ever wanted to learn how to play chess this is a simple and fun way to get started. The game works well, and the graphics would make chess fun for younger players. You could get this game for a kid with no prior knowledge of game rules and they could pick it up to play immediately because picking up a chess piece automatically highlights the available moves. Online play allows people near or far to play with people they know.Chess .com affiliation means that players that are ready to move on to tougher opponents will have an easy time transferring.
