I've never played the N64, which is the basis of this CARVE snowboarding, but the operability and exhilaration are quite good. However, couldn't the sounds, gimmicks, effects, etc. be a little more flashy? I used to love SSX of the same kind on PS2, but it's a little plain compared to that. Although this work has such an impression, it is recommended because it can be enjoyed at a reasonable price (although it is a review in about 2 hours).
Loved 1080 on N64 and GameCube. I loved 1080 on N64 and 1080 avalanche on GameCube, and just replayed it on my steam deck. Now playing in VR is great. Just seeing the inside of the cabin was reminiscent of my childhood playing with my siblings. Would love to play this to the 1080 avalanche soundtrack.

Great 🏂. Love the game for a while it was my favorite but I think it would be cool if there was a mini map in the corner or something. But a solid 5 stars 👍
Mods or sandbox mode would be sick. I love this game. There’s leaderboards, things to collect, different game modes, and so many tricks to learn. But I just wish there was more maps. Adding mod support for pc or adding a map creator game mode would be so sick I wouldn’t even care if it was utter garbage. This game is probably never getting updated again but I haven’t given up hope.
Fantastic VR Snowboarding game! I'm surprised at the number of negative reviews here. Despite them, I thought I'd give it a try for myself since I grew up playing games like Coolboarders/1080° Snowboarding/SSX/etc.
This game is from the original developer of 1080° Snowboarding, and it shows. It really feels like you're playing one of those classic games in VR!
The control scheme is fantastic; you stand sideways, choose your stance (Regular or Goofy), and then your front controller controls the front of the board, and the back controller controls the back. You lean and turn your body very naturally like you would on a real snowboard, and it works great!
Raising your controllers above your head makes you jump, and grabbing the board to pull off tricks feels completely natural, and surprisingly forgiving; if you don't grab the board directly, your hand snaps into place where it should.
Maybe the controls were patched after some of the reviews were written because I didn't encounter any difficulty with them.
Turning and carving at top speed feels fantastic, the physics of the board on the snow feel good and weighty, tricks are fun to pull off, tracks look great and play smooth.
I played for a couple of hours and experienced none of the crashing issues that some have mentioned.
It has Achievements and an immersive Winter cabin hub world" you can explore in between races (which includes a dog you can pet!)
One star off because the soundtrack is...not great. What's there is a little too "game-y" and doesn't fit the game nicely. A game like this needs great old licensed punk rock, like the Tony Hawk series. If there was a way to upload your own soundtrack, this game would be perfect.
Also, I wish it had multiplayer. That would be amazing too.
Similar to "The Climb 2", this game really only does one thing, but it does it really well.
Totally recommended if you enjoyed playing old console snowboarding games and want to recapture that same feeling, but in a well built and great feeling VR version of those games.
Best 3 hours of my life. If you like snowboarding or even skiing I can assume you will like this game I usually ski but this game wants me to start snowboarding it is so much fun and I recommend it highly but one thing could make this game even better is multiplayer but anyway I highly recommend this game.
Great but.. I love this game, when I was looking for a skiing/snowboarding game on vr this came up and I was thrilled and bought it, so worth it, so many maps, boards it’s great but then I thought how cool would it be if there was a surfing game so I believe you can use the same mechanics on the boards you just have to design waves. If you can make a surfing vr game I would buy it for 40$ within SECONDS. That would be the best vr game ever!

Why is it when people don't understand a game or it's mechanics right away 1 star review,oh I couldn't do a trick by my 3rd try 1 star,I couldn't go fast on my board ,1 star review. GET OVER YOURSELF. This is a good solid game ,great soundtrack, visual, a good solid 8, and just overall a lot of fun .My only criticism is I wish it had dlc. Oh and you also get a dog in your cabin ,it scared the sh#t out of me when I petted it and he started wagging his tail and moving.
Fantastic snowboarding game. So glad a snowboarding game is finally here in VR. Great controls and tricks. Great visuals on Q2. multiple ways to take down the mountains. I actually spin my body in real time when doing 180’s and 360’s. And it’s awesome. On another note something is off with my feet not matching up with the footprints on the board. Hmmmm. If there not meant to then they should be taken off the board cause it ruins the look of the boards with the glow in the dark footprints. The only thing missing and it would make the game a thousand times more fun is to be able to ride with friends on the same mountain at the same time together. Please add this to the game and make it more social and I’ll gladly give it 5 stars. This game needs some serious Ska music in it. We also need a free ride game mode where there’s no info on the hud to make e game more immersive. And have the info on the bottom of the screen and not in front of our face in regular mode.
