B I T , L Y / C M T F R I E N D

Shoot, slice, climb and laugh! I love the stories in this - the exploration of different historical times and places and the combat is fun as well. Only took off a star because I think the combat could be a little bit more engaging. I know it's purposefully "arcadey" but the enemies and combat become a bit "samey" animation-wise and I think there's room for variety even within the arcade feel that they're going for. But still a ton of fun. Absolutely worth full price! Or get is 25prcnt cheaper (the comma is a dot):
Suberb slow paced experience. The game is super fun and has great fighting mechanics. I can wholeheartedly recommend it for slow-paced gaming sessions. The graphics and environments are really enjoyable. Also, don't you slap the donkey on its lower back!"
I love this game. One of the best games on quest 2 nice graphics I was surprised it can handle it so well it runs great .. Hey developers I found a glitch to beat every level without getting hit ... You just sit in Indian style on the floor ..
Glitchie. Definitely regret this purchase. A rather short and repetitive game that dragged on forever because you were lucky if one in five strikes produced any damage against multiple enemies while you are getting pummeled by them. I played on easy and was thoroughly frustrated by the time I finished the game. When the last one had been played my comment was thankfully I don't have to replay this.
Plz fix combat. Game so good until the mighty ball came and couldn't pk it up caus u pking up sword instead tries for hrs and nope can't do and especially if u got sausage in the other holster which is kinda wierd but funny weapon u just keep on grabbing those in the way and a height setting would b so helpful or crouch button caus this isn't sit down game for sur u hav to dodge hits and last but not least a bit is why cant I move during combat how r u doing this yall? 5 enemies backing u into vorner which goes black all the time and cannot move at all. I just can't w this one and really thought stories were cute and funny so it saved yall n stars .totally lost on how to fight without moving anywhere and sitting down not possible it's an older game I knw but if u can plz do update the biggest part of game which is fighting, I'll b bk and change scor plz lmk if planning anything caus rnbim a sitting duck and was just getting excited to end that story and mov on guess I'll rescue donkey again lolol plz update
Amazing polished game and funny too! I watched SteveKnows review on YouTube before buying this game (I recommend watching it) SteveKnows is intelligent and has a good sense of humor and I believe he thoroughly enjoyed the graphics & gameplay experience on Crimen.
In my opinion potential buyers should ignore the two star review by GamerTag!
Regarding GT; If you ever watched his channel- GT is NO 'Mr intelligence' ( if you catch my drift) and definitely lacks any kind of sense of humor and I will explain;
Crimen is all about timing as in hacking & slashing from the right direction at the right time similar to Beat saber ( in an odd way ) however GT has a brainless 'run & gun' style in general! The problem with GT's review is that he completely misunderstood the game mechanics! GT ignored the timing and opted for brainless impatient hacking & slashing at his own will - and of course GT was unsuccessful. So what does Mr Genius GT do? He blames it on the developer's and leaves a 2 star review which is very unfair on the developer's!
At a certain point in GT's review he looks at a woman's character who is locked in a trance (or possessed) her eyes are white because of her state - so genius mr GT points out that her eyes are not looking at him or missing! GT's IQ must be equivalent to his shoe number lol!
Crimen Mercenaries is very polished, has a lovley style of sharp cartoon graphics (with beautiful dramatic scenes & views), good gameplay and a great sense of humor giving you a nice little workout while fighting.
I have tried Crimen and I'm definitely loving this game - just buy it and see for yourself! Five stars from me. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Deceptively hard, wonderfully engaging! One of my favourite games of the year so far (2023), the stories are both challenging and humorous, the art style is a cel shaded masterpiece, the charactets are all quirky individuals and the combat mechanics have been implemented to near perfection.
Tales of swashbuckling adventure! Broadly speaking, the combat in a given piece of media will fall somewhere on a spectrum between two distinct styles. One one end you've got your bone-crushing, head-lopping, hyper-visceral presentation you get from, say, Conan the Barbarian or Blade and Sorcery. On the other end is the more fanciful swashbuckling, chandelier-swinging combat that's more about style and finesse than brutal realism; think Three Musketeers, most iterations of Robin Hood, or anything with Errol Flynn. This game is one of the few I've played in VR that leans heavily toward the latter, and it does it very well. You'll frequently find yourself surrounded by enemy swordsman, parrying their attacks one at a time and following up with your own ripostes until you ultimately win the day. Occasionally you'll have the opportunity to toss the errant, pot, beer stein, or whatever else may come to hand to slow down or even incapacitate an opponent, and a couple times I even managed to throw a bucket over an enemy's head and dispatch him as he fumbled blindly about (having trouble figuring out how to do that reliably, though...). It's all very stylized and larger than life in its own way, rather befitting of game's framing mechanism of a group of boastful mercenaries recounting tales of their own heroic exploits.
The game is not without its issues. The placement of your sword when it's sheathed is awkward to me; I would've liked it if I could place it closer to my hip. And sometimes in tight spaces the enemy clips through each other and into you, making it hard to read their telegraphed attacks. But all and all, it was well worth the asking price. While I finished in a couple of days, I enjoyed it enough that I absolutely see myself going back and playing through again when I'm in the mood for a little swashbuckling action.
Fun, short and lacking content. I like the fun and creative side to the approach of this game, its funny, gameplay is fun but it needed more.
At times it could be frustrating to fight multiple enemies who block your attacks and it took away the fun in the gameplay but wasnt a big issue.
The climbing would be challenging at times because at some points in a climb you would get stuck or couldnt move. I figured out if you center yourself inbounds it fixes the problem of climbing if anyone was wondering
The blackscreen was also an issue because when an enemy walked through you or was to close everything just goes black and that goes for walls in the map as well, once you put your head through you cant see anything and the boundaries of the game just need some maintenance.
The stories you play through the characters were just to similar and all you do is fight and reach a destination which there wasnt really anything to the game.
All in all in gets two stars for being fun and comically creative but other than that it needs to go back to the drawing board my good sirs and maams.
My advice: So you want my advice on how to improve your game? Well let me just say this...add places to visit and sight see cause scenery never gets old.
You had cannons at your disposal and that could have been used by a big character who wields firepower and it was fun using those hand cannons so I would have had levels just for shooting and blowing up things.
Adventure? where is it? Well let me tell ya, its people, places and your unlimited supply to the imagination. Now, im not asking for skyrim amount of adventure but ya know, helping people, slaying a beast, making friends and maybe even mini games. I feel that it needed more interaction with the world.
Bar brawls, arm wrestling, mountain climbing, body slams, romances, castle raids, a point where you turn into a werewolf and tear through enemies, fly...I mean theres alot I expected but maybe my expectations are unrealistic but I hope some things are taken into consideration. Anyhow thank you for the fun game, farewell.
Definitely a neat and unique title. So I'll start by saying I gave this game 5 stars only because 4.5 wasn't an option and I feel like once titles go below 4 stars, people stop paying attention and this is a title that absolutely should at the very least be given a chance. So after finishing the opening child character that serves as a tutorial and finishing the first tavern character as he tells his tale of discovering the castle of Elizabeth Bathory the famous vampire, my thoughts are this: First the graphics are really well done, cell shaded but with a more realistic look then say borderlands, game visually reminds me a bit of the original Fable on Xbox, this style or graphics really shows off what the quest 2 can do and honestly should be the style most games target in my opinion as its just perfect for the limitations of the hardware, as for gameplay the combat is somewhat simplistic but with puzzle elements built into that you figure out as you play, definitely challenging if you don't pick up some of the clues the game is giving you, I died quite abit on the first character story, it was worth it though, game got easier as I began to understand exactly what it was looking for from me, but it was never easy, I played with the standard movement settings being free movement and snap turning and didn't experience any motion sickness which I can be susceptible to, the game does offer teleport aswell for anyone super sensitive but I think the majority won't have any issues. The only complaint I have gameplay wise is thar although the check points are frequent throughout each adventure so you aren't forced to restart a level after you die (and you will die), if you decide you want a break, you can't exit the game without losing your level progress which for a vr title thar can be tiring, kind of sux, I figure the first adventure could probably be completed in 15 to 20 minutes once you have the puzzles and mechanics for it figured out, but if your a little bone headed like me, it could take up to a half hr your first time through, and obviously it would suck to be 20 minutes in and decide your tired to life force you to quit during a adventure and lose the progress for that story/character, so keep that in mind when playing, make sure u know u have a full 30 minutes to play before starting a new characters story, to the developers I would suggest you allow people to resume the game from a checkpoint as the game can be frustrating at times (in a good way). I'd also say music is good, the voice acting so far is really well done and there is a fair amount of Shrek esque comedy interjected into the game, so my long winded suggestion is buy this game, it's different from alot of what's available, it's not just a rinse and repeat zombie shooter like what fills the quest store, this is a adventure game with sword fighting some Pistol use and combat puzzles, some of which basically become mini games in of themselves, the first adventure has a beat Saber like mini game when battling the countess, so buy it, try it, make sure you have time for each story and don't get frustrated, if you are dieing alot at particular point most likely there is something right in front of you, u just haven't noticed yet that will aid you, also you can play sitting but I found the sword fighting alot easier when standing.
